A.L.S. (Spike Dudley - Raw/Heel/Cheater, All Axxess)

ALS stands for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly called "Lou Gehrig`s Disease".  ALS kills people by weakening the motor neurons, causing a person to lose dexterity, the capacity to control their muscle movements, and even the possible loss of control of their bowels.  Patients suffering from this disease usually expire due to being so weak they are unable to breathe.

ALS also stands for "Angry Little Shit", which is what Spike Dudley is.  This design uses a Booby Trap (T)/Thrust Knee Lift engine to render your opponent`s hand worthless, remove it from the game.....and cause your opponent to become so weak that they can`t even breathe.

Ahh, synergy.  With Spike`s cards causing discard from hand, there`s plenty of places where Booby Trap (T) becomes synergistic - off of Psychotic Bump or Brotherly Love, as two examples.  Add to the deck Indian Strap Match, Shoot Headlock, and Don`t Hate the Playa, as well as all the Technical Action/Maneuver hybrids, and you have a devastating way to empty your opponent`s hand quickly and brutally.

Without further ado,

Strategy:
Discard, discard, discard.  With your normal Prematch setup of Indian Strap, Regal, Blood, No Show, Underrated (sending in Showtime) you are going to have at least a six card hand that you can show off, with a card you select being called Pump Kick.  If they don`t pitch off of Blood, search for a Rev, Volley This, or Booby Trap - whichever you think is most productive at that point.  With the No Show, grab Anything and Hate It and Manager Interferes.
The quicker you empty your opponent`s hand, the better off you are for winning.  Land the Pump Kick, and then start using Booby Traps to fuel the discard off of Indian Strap for things like A Technical Shoot.  If they Road it, great.  If not, feel free to walk into Cow - the quicker that card gets out of the way, the happier everyone will be.
When you reverse their first card played (with Pound 4 Pound, Anything and Hate It or maybe a Volley This that they let you grab). everything opens up for you.  Play an Action, pitch a Booby Trap, then Tech Stomp them.  If you played a Tech Shoot into grabbing the Tech Stomp, it`ll be 8D.  Shoot Headlocks and Thrust Knee Lift should almost be never played as maneuvers in this design - the Headlocks are there to have a way to get Booby Trap and Thrust Knee Lift out of your hand.  Thrust Knee Lift is there to munch on their Ringside Pile, as well as Technical Splash in the Corner.
So, the goal is:  empty their hand in one of the many devastating methods that you have, then Technical High Risk them into the ground.  Once you build up the Fortitude you need, you can go TMF crazy and eviscerate your opposition.
Good matchups:
- Spike is a great counter to Andre the Giant, as he doesn`t care how many prematch he plays.
- Spike rolls Carlito because he can stop drawing cards via his ability.
- Anyone with a small natural hand that has a hard time increasing it (Bookerman, Million Dollar Man, etc.) tends to fare badly against the Violent Little Bastard.
Bad matchups:
- Jimmy Hart (Million Dollar Man, Piper, Immortal One, Sgt. Slaughter, JYD, Doink, etc.)
- Eugene
- 0F Midmatch Reversal decks. (Edge, Benoit, Christian, LotP, LotEA, E&C, Eddie, Los G`s)
Basically, if your Pump Kick doesn`t go, it becomes a far more difficult game for you.  Get that sucker down.
