The 2009 RDPC Northeastern Championships

These are the results of the RDPC Northeastern Championships held at Dark Tower Games in Denville, New Jersey on Saturday April 11th, 2009. Each winner will win a spot in the RDPC World Championships 2009 at Gen Con. There was a Classic event and an All Axxess event. I was running Eddie Guerrero with Poke/Shake/Technical High Risks for classic and ITOF chain Carlito for All Axxess. The first event was at 11am, but in true Raw Deal fashion, we didn’t start ‘til almost noon. This was the classic format. The event drew 23 people. That meant 5 rounds and a top 8 cut. These were the participants and their superstars:

After 5 grueling rounds, there was nobody that went 5-0 probably due to people getting paired down. Andrew Trebing dropped with a 1-2 record. Matt Markoff also dropped with a 0-3 record. These are the rest of the records:

We played this game in round 2 and I beat him. He knew he wasn’t going to Gen Con and I was. Being a good sport, he gave me the spot, and we played for prizes. I got destroyed in the prematch, revealing Let Me Get A Shot In. After drawing my starting handsize and underrated and a no show, I only had 5 cards left in arsenal and lost. Thus far, I’ve qualified for Gen Con. The other spot will be determined next This event is All Axxess with only 13 participants. This is a 4 round event with a top 8(just so we could give out more prizes):
