25 Dec 2006 - The People's Champ, Afterburn/ Heel/ Smackdown/ Fan Favorite

There`s a Face/Chain variant of The People`s Champ running around on here - while it looks solid, I think that my Heel/Blindside variant is more stable, as it starts with a much larger hand and can control the game a lot easier.

Backstage Area:
Fifth Anniversary
Signing Appearance
Signature
Prematch: (10)
Pago Pago, American Samoa
Just Who In the Blue Hell Do You Think You Are? (T)
Managed by Dawn Marie
Know Your Role and Shut Your Mouth

This is Going Nowhere Fast
Restricted Use In This Area
Can U Believe the Witte Retort?
A Phoenix Rising
The Peep`s Champ
Maneuvers (15):
3x Judo Takedown
3x Blindside Hook
3x Blindside Drop Toe Hold
3x Blindside Tornado Strike
Rock Bottom (T)
Dynamic Finisher
The Finisher
Actions (11):
3x Blindsided by the Dangerous Divas
The People`s Eyebrow
The People`s Elbow
Do You Smell What the Rock is Cookin`?
Your Brush With Greatness is Over (T)
It Doesn`t Matter What Your Name Is!

Reversals (34):

3x A Revolution of the Mind
3x Clumsy Opponent
2x Elbow to the Face
3x Manager Interferes
2x Anything and Hate It
Brass "Nuks" Shot
3x Volley This!
3x Hold the Phone!
2x Overshot Your Mark
2x Spine Buster (T)
Take That Move....
You Bring the Ass.....
The People`s DDT
2x It`s Great To Be Back Here In...
2x Don`t Try This At Home
Strategy:
You essentially win the game in the prematch.  You can get Pago Pago down and search for a Blindside Hook most of the time.  From there, your prematch includes everything with a Rock logo - and against most people, you play nine prematch and pop in the second High Fives.
So your hand is 6 (SSA), +2 from Feud, +1 from Pago Pago, +1 from Dawn Marie, +1 from Shades, +2 from No Show, +2 from High Fives, +2 from other High Fives.  That`s a 17 card opening hand.  You`ll draw most everything you need.  Get Judo Takedowns into your hand so that way if they Don`t Try your Shades which you will pop into Blindside Hook, you may end up with 4, 8 or sometimes even 12F on turn one.
The trick is to throw your few Unique moves with some kind of restriction on them - either unreversable from hand, Arsenal, or both.  That way, It`s Great to Be Back doesn`t reverse them.  Otherwise, feel free to wall up and destroy your opponent for playing anything.  With Brahma Bull in play, you`re Revo proof.  There`s a Can U Believe if your opponent doesn`t play Road to Victory to make the Bull permanent.
It`s pretty straightforward.  It pummels Lashley, plays most of its prematch against Kennedy, still gets a reasonable sized hand against Andre, and can survive a beating with Dangerous Divas for recursion.  It`s a solid design for a n00b, provided they can get their hands on the cards they require. (Notice:  I didn`t put in the Footstomp, as it`s a difficult UR to find.  If you`re a n00b and don`t have enough of these cards, PM me and I can write you a less foil intensive variant.)

wad do u remove if you were to throw in the footstomp? sorry if i missed anything but if opponent does not Dont Try This at Home you how do u get the initial fort? n any particular reason why Remove the People`s Elbow Pad is non-throwback? i mean the throwback version is definitely easier to play..

Generally the deck sounds gd but I think cena n break you decks can wreck your plans since you rely so much on pre-match.

jus my 2 cents =)

If they DTTAH, you get fortitude off your Judo Takedowns you put into play.  If the Footstomp was going in, you could probably remove one of the Blindside Hooks without any difficulty.  Break You doesn't exist in Afterburn, which is why it's listed that way, and if Cena was played by more than three people on Earth, then I would be worried.

haha my bad.. ive been away for a while n jus came back recently so im still not quite familiar with the new face of rawdeal. Aight.. then i think this deck is really solid except for bad match-up against Cena. Actually u missed 2 of my qns.. first why non-tb remove ppl's elbow pad? and secondly.. haha i think i didnt express myself properly. I understand that u can ditch Shades to get off your initial fort but here in my area i still got ppl runnin Fort Surge. So given this scenario: I ditch Shades, my opponent does not have dttah in his hand, so he plays fort surge instead so that he can re

Cena, I get owned.  The TB Elbow Pad is not in my collection at the moment.  As to the F-Surge, then well, they hit my move with F-Surge and possibly reverse it.  It's a Blindside - I'll play it from Ringside next turn. Smiley

Like I said, it's a very brutal build.

It is a very very brutal build. I give you a 9. Sorry to trouble you but I got a rule qn here(sort of).. If opponent plants Hell in a Cell, does blindside still works?

Answer, yes.  Blindsides work in a Box. Smiley

Well I just have one suggestion. Change one of the High fives to the old one and change dawn marie to managed by vince. That way you have a manager that'll do more than sit there and you still get the extra cards in hand. I gave you an 8.

The only problem, Nabi, is that the OG High Fives is Face, and I'm not.  Now with Managed by Vince, that's not a terrible plan if I had more ways to overturn in the prematch.  I run the Managed by Vince (T)/High Fives (OG) combo in my Kennedy.

HEHE I  forgot the og High fives is Face!
My bad.

In that case why not change to face?
Swap no show for og high fives and Dawn for Vince

THen swap these cards

3x Manager Interferes
2x Anything and Hate It
Brass "Nuks" Shot
Hold the Phone!
It Doesn`t Matter What Your Name Is!

In exchange for 2 sloppy's, 3 once is enoughs,
