TCO: Jason, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us today, I really appriciate it.

JP: Okay let`s get one thing straight, stop refering to this Jason Perry guy. Nice guy and all, but we all know nice guys finish last. When you address me, address me as "Mr Charisma" Baron Valiant.

TCO: Mr. Charisma it is! With a pronouncement like that, I don`t think there is any question you would be afraid of. So lets get to know you! Tell us how you came to compete for this year`s world championship, tell us your story.

Baron Valiant: To give you a brief as to who I am, I`m the most hated man on the Australian Indy Wrestling scene. I`ve managed more Champions in Australia than any other manager before me or will come after me. When I`m not wrestling or working full time I play Raw Deal. Nice game, been playing it almost since it`s inception. It`s only in the last year that I`ve knuckled down and made an effort to be successful at it. I`m the Australian Champion!! The best player in Australia!! (Excepting of course David Marks, but it`s a known fact the guy just has bad luck)

TCO: We are now just two weeks before the World Championships, do you know who you are going to use?

Baron Valiant: I laugh in the face of preparation. I am the master at building the night before a tournament and going all the way. Life is like a swimming pool, you boys can all stand on the edge and test the water with your toes. Me however, I like to dive bomb in and hope the water`s fine. If you spend too much time thinking through an idea, you may just talk yourself out of playing the deck that would have won for you. With me, Expect the Unexpected!!

TCO: What decks do you feel are your biggest threat?

Baron Valiant: Decks?? Biggest threat?? LOL. The only threat is me having to sit across a table with someone who is in obvious need of a shower and to loose some weight. Did you know the key to passing kindergarten is finger painting?? It`s simple, stop trying to eat the paint or use your toes. If gamers just understood this, then the IQ of the average gamer may hit double figures.

PSYCHO: Hey... can I have $5?

Baron Valiant: Can you have $5?? CAN YOU HAVE $5?? Listen here dumbass. Baron Valiant does not give handouts!! You want a handout?? How about you line up like everyone else and join a welfare que.

TCO: If you win the World Championship, you get to make your own card. Do you have plans already for what card you’re going to make? Are you willing to share it with us?

Baron Valiant:Who cares what the card does really, as long as my name is on it there somewhere, (that`s Baron with one `r` not two) Honestly though, I haven`t given it any thought. Winning is the furthest thing from my mind.

TCO: Has the late announcement of the formats for the worlds impacted your preparation at all?

Baron Valiant: What preparation?? I live probably the furthest away than any of the other qualifiers. It`s a 26 hour plane trip. Of which, between chatting up Air Hostesses and joining the mile high club, I figure I can get a little preparation done then.

TCO: Raw Deal seems to be becoming more political over the last year. Has this impacted you at all, do you see this impacting you at all?

Baron Valiant: I stay away from politics, I deal with cold hard facts and try to keep away from people whose sole purpose in life is to dripple their own waste from their mouth. If more people just bit their lip and actually knuckled down to do what was good for this game then politics would be something heard about on the TV and not in Raw Deal conversations. If someone is unhappy let them blow their hot air someplace else and stop ruining other people`s love of something.

TCO: Just for the record, what are your feelings on Revolution?

Baron Valiant: Every major card game goes through some structure change like Revolution. I knew it was coming eventually so I am not one of the outspoken one`s. Change is inevitable!! You can stamp your feet and demand answers or you can just accept it and get on with it. For new players to come over to Raw Deal, this change needed to happen. Australia is in a unique situation, Revolution has had little to no effect on our playing numbers.

TCO: The Mark Laroche Xperience – a great party, or the greatest party?

Baron Valiant: Well I kinda put my foot in it when I asked the question who are the better drinkers?? Americans, Canadians or Australians?? What has me interested is I`ve been told some "Real Estate" is being organised. Now I`m not talking about land or property, I`m refering to the female variety. (boo`s go up from the female readers) Hey didn`t I tell you I was the most hated guy on the Australian Indy Wrestling scene?? Trust me when I say I`m watering down my comments. As to this great or greatest thing?? Ask me the morning after.

TCO: Besides yourself, is there someone that you’re cheering for this year at the World Championships?

Baron Valiant: NO!! Oh sorry did you want me to think about that a little longer ... NO!! It would be nice however if David Marks could win the LCQ and go on to play in the World`s. It`s been ages since he`s had to finish second to me!!

TCO: What are your plans for the future?

Baron Valiant: To keep doing what I`m doing now. I have a full time job. I have two kids who give me my reason to get out of bed each morning. And when anything like this stresses me out I get to get up infront of crowds, look them in the face and tell them how pathetic their lives are, and how fat and ugly they all look.

TCO: Which is better, Cake or Pie?

Baron Valiant: I`m a pie man myself. I`m hoping there`s a lot of some American pie on offer over in the states. I`ve been told that pie can`t resist a good Aussie accent. That`s a challenge I think I`m more than up to.

TCO: Will the Saints make it to the Superbowl next year?

Baron Valiant: If I was to place a bet on them, would I win alot of money?? I`d only be in it for the money!!

TCO: Mr. Charisma, we have to wrap up now, so thank you for sitting down with us. I may regret this, but I`ll give you the last word

Baron Valiant: Look out fellow Raw Dealers and be prepared "Mr Charisma" Baron Valiant is hitting your shores and nobody will be safe. Do I plan on going all the way?? Possibly.
