TCO: Rob, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us today, I really appriciate it. Many of our readers know that you won the lethal lottery, but I`m not sure they all know the background that makes this so amazing. How exactly did you find out you were going to the worlds?
Drex: Well, I got a phone call from MLX, Tom Mckelvy, all of PCG, Pat Eshgy saying ummmm, your never going to believe this all, but you won the LL. I kinda giggled and didn`t think anything about it and I started to get more calls and I came here and noticed I actually did win so... I had a beer to celebrate.
TCO: We are now just two weeks before the World Championships, do you know who you are going to use?
Drex: Yep, Yep. Got everyone hard at work on the decks. The one I have is prolly better then the way I will play it though.
TCO: What decks do you feel are your biggest threat?
Drex: Any deck that has cupons for free beer or hey strippers that way ---> I may begin to lose focus.
PSYCHO: Hey... can I have $5?
Drex: uhhhh, can I have 10?
TCO: If you win the World Championship, you get to make your own card. Do you have plans already for what card you’re going to make? Are you willing to share it with us?
Drex: Not to sure, but something down the lines of creating a side game of beer pong, still working out the kinks if they are under 21.
TCO: Having been to the world championships not once, but twice before, how is that impacting your preparation?
Drex: Yep Yep. The last time I was in the WC I got 3rd so uhhhhh, don`t lose this time right, or atleast make sure I got my lucky shot of yager bomb ready to go when I need to plan my next move.
TCO: Has the late announcement of the formats for the worlds impacted your preparation at all?
Drex: Just means my friends get to make me another deck and had to go back to the thinking board with beverages in hand.
TCO: Raw Deal seems to be becoming more political over the last year. Has this impacted you at all, do you see this impacting you at all?
Drex: Nope, sry no crazy answer :-(
TCO: Fair enough, but for the record, what are your feelings on Revolution?
Drex: I personally don`t like it, stall and combo are my favorite deck types and that kind of kills them all.
TCO: The Mark Laroche Xperience – a great party, or the greatest party?
Drex: Great party, MLX w/ Rob Drexler there... GREATEST PARTY ;-)
TCO: Now Rob, normally I ask a sportsmanship related question where people talk about who else they might root for. But since you are taking time away from your alchol to answer this, we will keep this all about you... is anyone cheering you on?
Drex: I dunno.
TCO: What are your plans for the future?
Drex: To get rich quick.
TCO: Which is better, Cake or Pie?
Drex: When did they make those into alcohol flavors?
TCO: Will the Saints make it to the Superbowl next year?
Drex: GO BROWNIES..... :-/
