Both. Damage causes overturn. That's why stuff that reverses non-damage overturn says "when overturned by a non-damage card effect" or something similar.

Okay, now having seen the card under the Hacksaw support, and this isn't a gameplay but a flavor thing, shouldn't Slaughter's heel card prevent the packing of American Flag, too?

No, you CAN pack it, but since Turncoat is Heel and USA! USA! is Face, its pretty pointless.  You're just doing it to pack American Flag & Turncoat, which costs you a pack slot without giving anything in return, heh.

So gentlemen, if I am reading the total package's ability correctly, i would surmise that as long as I am packing the corners, I can play any of those cards w/o playing the corresponding corner... Please correct me if I am wrong
