Below is a thread suggesting netdecks to help get people interested in the full aspects of this new installment of Raw Deal. Within that thread, somebody suggested that 4 reasonably balanced decks be made so that PDF's could be made from them, for some reason or another.

So I got to thinking about fashioning 4 "Starter Decks" for the New Raw Deal CCG. Below is what I came up with.

I went into this project with the following criteria in mind:

1) Picking four superstars with reasonably comparable stats.

2) Picking four superstars who had easy to teach superstar abilities.

3) Picking four superstars who had easy specifics to understand, preferably with a non-midmatch based trademark finishers (Mysterio exception).

4) Picking four superstars who's abilities did not involve backlash decks.

5) Picking four superstars who were diverse enough to catch all manners of player types. (Kane was too similar to Undertaker flavor wise, and Triple H, Orton and Flair were too associated with Batista.)

6) Building 4 decks using as many styles and strategy types as possible to get the full experience of what you could do (Used all styles minus Showman which relied too much on Midmatches, and each deck either uses primarily Strikes, Grapples, Submissions or High Risk respectively).

7) Building the decks with as little reference to backlash decks as possible, with the strategies built not considering what they would be with a backlash deck. (The only exception to this is that all decks will start with the two Backstage Area Styles revealed, these will be used independently from any reference to a Backlash Deck.)

NOTE: The reason for this was due to the fact that I believe Backlash Decks only muddle the process of LEARNING the game of Raw Deal, the mechanics at it's core. These decks were build with the intent of teaching the game of Raw Deal to people who have never played before, are new to the game, or possibly have never even played a CCG before. So although Backlash decks are an integral part of the RAW Deal experience, these concepts could be taught later after they got a basic feel for the game itself, and wanted to start building their own decks.

Cool Avoiding hybrid cards as much as possible, or any other types of cards that could potentially cause confusing rules situations. The goal was to make things as simplistic as possible and allow those interesting to explore further from there.

9) And of course, making sure that the decks were all reasonably balanced, with no one superstar clearly having a distinct advantage over all the others.

This brought me to choosing the following superstars.

1) The Undertaker. Hardcore Brawler with head strikes as the maneuvers of choice. Aggro Build.

2) Batista. Dirty Grappler with tons of grapple support as the base. Aggro Build.

3) Rey Mysterio. Clean Highflyer with a varied F: O moveset following up into High Risks that take advantage of the High Flyer Style. Mild Combo Build.

4) Chris Jericho. Submissionest Technician with tons of submission support as the base. The only complicated build of the bunch, due to his natural Control Build.

Here are the official decklists. Tell me what you think.
