LIONS 3-0

Mad props to the Bills as well.  I wanted to pick them so bad in the tco pick 'em, but I chose the patriots.  I was wrong, go Bills!

Big day in Buffalo. I dunno what it feels like to have a team win the Super Bowl, but this was pretty great.

Considering I am from MI, I've always been "on the bandwagon".  My friends are rabid Lions fans so its really good to see them win.  I am looking forward to a winning record for them, and maybe the play offs.   Tongue

As a die-hard Packer fan it almost pains me to say it, but the Lions are scary as hell this year.  I can't WAIT to watch them play the bears and have Suh give crybaby Cutler another beatdown like last year.

The only things I see Detroit needing to worry about is their lack of a running game (losing LeShoure was killer) and their secondary..it's kind of weak and if an offensive line can play lights out and neutralize the Detroit D-line, that secondary could be in for a longgggggg day.

That said, I'm still calling the Lions as either the last team out of the NFC playoff picture, or a wild-card team...depends on how their 9-7 record compares with the rest of the non-division winners in the NFC.

Glad to see Stafford healthy as well.

These should BOTH be tested next week in Dallas..... one of those games that should tell us lots about both teams me thinks (and might be one of those Wild Card tie breaker games in January)

Based on what? Is it the D-Line match-up on a lesser Dallas O-Line?
You think Stafford is better then Dumbo....err...Romo?
Or that Dallas just won't be able to cover Calvin Johnson?

I'm just curious on the reasoning beyond a simple chest-thumping comment that's all.....

I'm a Cowboys fan,and even I think that Dallas has a weak secondary.

However,Detroit better keep an eye on DeMarcus ware.

We need to keep a tight end chipping on his side all day. I don't want Stafford getting hurt.

They could also roll the pocket away from him and use a backside blocker as well.

I haven't seen that much of Stafford throwing on the move..would this be a viable option?  I know with my QB (Rodgers :] ) that anytime I see him rolling out it's a good thing because he's deadly accurate on the run.  How does Stafford fare?

He's average throwing on the run, but the problem is then Dallas doesn't have to worry about backside coverage. We've got too many weapons to limit our offense to one side of the field. I'd say just chip him all day with Sheffler and Pettigrew, throw screens over his head and just do everything possible to keep him away from Stafford.

Also, you gotta think that with Dallas' shaky offensive line Suh and the rest of the d-line are gonna be making Tony Romo hear footsteps all game long.

Ware's been quoted this year saying that in Rob Ryan's system he has yet to be chipped or double-teamed based on the new system he's playing under, and the Cowboy sack totals DO reflect this...

That's not heel.  I'm no packer fan, but I have to admit that they are the best team in the nfl.  They are better this year than they were during the post season of last year.

To the Lions defense, I think if there is one team in the Packer's division that could beat them this year, it's the Lions.  I'm still predicting there is a good chance the Packers could go undefeated in their division though.

No way both teams are 11-0 going into that game. Hell I'd be surprised if either team had less than two losses. Both are very talented and on tremendous hot streaks, but the NFL season is difficult to navigate undefeated and a team can trip up any given week.

I'd agree that for now the Packers are still kings of the division, but I doubt they got 6-0 in the division. Between the Lions and the Bears I think the Pack are bound to drop one.

What? I agree that both going into Thanksgiving 10-0 is probably not going to happen. But each team having more then two loses?? Who are the Packers going to lose to? I get that any team can pull an upset but really what games are the Packers going to lose? @ Atlanta and @ Chargers are the only games that stick out that they have on the schedule between that time and I think they will handle the Falcons next week who haven't been playing all that well. Chargers is scary, I can see it going either way. Detroit has the Bears twice, SF (eh), and Atlanta but all those (besides one at Chi) are at home. When they play on Thanksgiving I see Packers 10-0 or 9-1 Lions 8-2 or 7-3. Either way it should be a big game.

They already won at Chi, beating them in Green Bay won't be a problem. Vikings twice won't be a problem. Lions on Thanksgiving will be the big one. When they play them again in GB won't be till the last week of the season so you never can guess what will happen during that one (will either team need to win, will one team rest starters, etc). I think they can go 6-0 in the division, but the wild card is the last game of the season when they (both teams even?) might be resting players (which I doubt GB will do though because they will be trying to go for the 16-0  Grin ).

While the Bills decided to take a nap in Cincinatti last week (during the game no less) and the Lions made another BRILLIANT comeback, the Bills won this week (suck it Philly) so were 4-1, and the Lions, my NFC team of this year (cuz we have a thread about em) are lookin to go 5-0 tonight against Da Bears.

Go Lions!
