So has anyone caught this yet, over the last 3 weeks?
(They are also available on www.rohwrestling.co m)

It's been .. okay.  For a company that's always been all about the WRESTLING, there seems to be an awful lot of talking.  Opening segment, talking.  First match, okay, good... then the 'news magazine' segment, including interviews from guys who aren't that good on the mic... and finally, the big match for the week.
(And some highilghts of www.rohwrestling.co m in between)

My problem is, besides the fact that everything seems to have a cheap and dirty feel... they can't seem be to figure out who they are catering to.  If they're catering to new fans, why not give backstory?  Why did I watch a promo for Davey Richards vs. Roderick Strong that never included the words 'No Remorse Corps'?  Instead I heard 37 times how they just don't like each other.   Roll Eyes
(Which I'm sure can be watched on www.rohwrestling.co m)

But if they are catering to the established ROH audience, why are we getting these watered-down shows, full of explanations and interviews, instead of the seemingly no-brainer decision to have 3 matches per show?

I don't get it... also, where is the personality?  So far there's been El Generico, sure... Jay Lethal 'doesn't want to be someone else' (then does a top rope elbow drop, lawl), Davey Richards is unfortunately bland, Roderick is just a jerk jock, 'that one guy' is an arrogant big star, 'that other guy' is a perfect athlete.. where's Kevin Steen?  Colt Cabana?  Delirious?  The guys who could wrestle their asses off yet be very entertaining at the same time?
(Don't tell me the storylines, I'm sure I could read all about them on www.rohwrestling.co m...)

And yeah, the constant plugs for the website are fairly obnoxious.  It starts feeling like I tuned into an infomercial by mistake, heh.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing flat-out solid wrestling... its just the overall package doesn't seem like they know what they're doing.

I agree with a lot of what you said. I think they are kind of just in their "introduction mode" which is why we are seeing a lot of recaps/interviews/etc. When I first watched when it was on HDNet it was a lot like that but when I started watching again towards the end of its run on HDNet it was a lot different (they weren't explaining who everyone was etc). Lets hope that it changes soon. But it still was usually only 2-3 matches per show. But it was great wrestling, so far none of the matches have been the quality of the old show.

Also I agree is looks cheep. Sound quality is terrible, it's not in HD. It was fine on the old show though.  Huh?

Then put one of those bland guys behind the curtain and put Delirious in front of the camera.  Delirious = Ratings!  Cheesy

Meanwhile, I turned off this last episode after fast-forwarding the blah-blah-blah segment in the middle, halfway through the main event realizing I really didn't care about either guy.  -shrugs-
