So how well does the WCW game compare to Raw Deal? I have a ton of the Nitro starters and quite a few extra cards. Don't have a whole lot of superstars (Buff Bagwell, Jeff Jarrett, Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Bret Hart, Scott Hall, Sid Vicious, and Lex Luger). Not really sure I'm going to attempt that game right now, since I'm becoming so hooked on Raw Deal, but I was curious to see how well it plays!

That's too bad to hear about the balancing issues... oh well, maybe one day I'll give it a shot! I'm too involved with RD right now anyway!  Smiley

The starters were all fixed so unless you have QUITE a lot of non-starter cards you really only have 2 tuned decks worth of themes.  It is a good game, especially if you have a good selection including the 2nd set.  It also has a good tag team feel.  I sold my decks long ago but we used to have some fun stuff like

Bret Hart heavy recursion
A Hall and Nash tag team deck with Hall tricked out for heavy draw tag play
Tank Abbot "out of the ring"

We didn't really find balance issues

lol... talk about a mistake! It's like when Nintendo turned away Sony after Sony had created a machine for them to play disc based games... Nintendo told them to take a hike, so Sony released what became the original Playstation!

If memory serves me right, Nintendo and Sony were going to make a machine together. A deal couldn't be reached and thus they parted ways, which led to the Playstation and N64 coming out.

Oh how gaming could have changed...but I'm not certain for better or worse!

Yeah, Nintendo brought in Sony to design something for them, and Sony came up with games on a disc... Nintendo ended up believing that it wouldn't work and people would rather stick with cartridges, so they canceled the agreement and sent Sony packing. Sony was pretty ticked off, so they decided to release it themselves. They tweaked it, and thus Playstation was born. Hell, I still remember playing Atari 2600 when I was a kid... wow I'm getting old!!!! lol

The reason sony was pissed was because nintendo canceled the project /the day after/ sony revealed it publically.
Honestly the reason why nintendo didnt go to discs in the end is the amount of control nintendo wanted in their tech. they wanted to keep it very proprietary

WCW Nitro is a blast! But it has no where near as many cards or expansions as Raw Deal. Game was canceled simply because WCW was canceled. If you can get a hold of the 1st expansion set (second booster), they are kinda hard to find now. You have a lot more possibilities with Raw Deal though. Have fun and forget the politics in games.

Personally, the quality of gameplay for Nitro vs Raw Deal is a mirror image of the quality WCW had compared to WWF back before WCW folded.
If you know what i mean.
