The SEC knows no bounds they mostly pad their OOC schedules with nobodies so the whole conference looks better with 10 teams qualifying for a bowl. It's just ridiculous.

Oh and Nick Saban put Oklahoma State fourth on his coaches poll ballot what a douche.

Gotta love Boise state making the case that everyone knows that the BCS is completet bs. Boise ranked 7th and doesn't get a better bowl bid.... Well next year hopefully Boise goes to the big east and gets there auto bid. That is if the big east still has one after this season

The big 10 had 10 teams go bowling... I thought the SEC only had 9 qualifiers?

The big 10 does not really go and pad our schedule, unless you count Wisconsin Wink . Three big 10 members played Notre Dame and PSU played Alabama. If you look at everyones schedule there is a lot of padding.

With the Championship, I hate the rematch but I do think that a 4 player seed plus one format should be adopted. This year would have meant that Stanford played LSU and Alabama plays Oregon, then the winners of those two matches play for the national championship. Although when you really think about it.... Shouldn't they just give the crystal football to LSU? IMO they have already proved they are the best football team in the land, beating Oregon and Alabama and Arkansas.

I agree that the crystal football should just go to LSU there schedule is a little padded but the teams they had beaten in the SEC play were almost all ranked opponents.  I am not exactly sure but I know in the time of the SEC title game they mentioned a nmumber of teams that LSU played were ranked.

y'know now that i think about it ya KNOW what would take away some of the problems with the bowls... take off the MANDATORY CONFERENCE SLOTS FOR EACH BOWL; for those who don't know what i mean follow this link:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_bids_to_non-BCS_bowls

take away the mandated slots period and you'll actually be able to get some fair and decient match-ups and some teams MAY not get screwed... yeah... that'll never happen as long as we have guarenteed spots and each member of the conference gets a cut of the revenue... bleh
