You could conceivably just concede all of your Revolution matches, yes. I have no Earthly idea why you would want to.

I meant the ones involving 1-4 which is what one or two. so you'd have to win the other 3 .

Maybe it's just me, but if I have to decide between learning a pretty simple format and borrowing a deck from a friend vs. throwing a game in every round of the World Championship, I'm calling somebody and getting a deck.

Maybe it's just me, but if I have to decide between learning a pretty simple format and borrowing a deck from a friend vs. throwing a game in every round of the World Championship, I'm calling somebody and getting a deck.

In that case, do you or anyone else on here have a spare deck I can borrow or buy?  Cuz no one in our area has revo cards, and last year when we thought we could just borrow/buy cards from people at the con, we couldn't even get decent reversal bases, let alone the staple maneuvers, cuz everyone leaves their singles at home (deservedly so, since that'd be a lot of cards).  I even tried using a virtual SS (Angle) so I wouldn't need specifics, but I couldn't even find the Revo card that his specific reverences (revo right on target).  No one had that card (apparently it's a promo of some sort?), so I was SoL.  So the many many people in the Raw Deal Community that didn't get Revo for whatever reason are left without many options.  I was considering conceding my Revo match as well and voting it out if I hit the championships...but now I read that's no longer an option.  So if you or anyone else are willing to build/sell competetive Revo decks, I'd be more than happy to buy one so that I can get in the mix and be competative.  And before I receive any flame whatsoever, I'm not complaining at the Revo format inclusion, I understand to call yourself a world champ you have to be a champ at all formats.  Thanks much.

I'd like to help you do that.  Even if it is only 5 minutes west of the Mississippi.  Wallemania will be trying to get it east of the Mississippi by 1 minute.

If I was going to Gen Con, I'd be bringing a few Revolution decks for people to use, yes. I am not, sadly. I would hope that SOMEONE would be able to help you out, even if it's our dear commissioner.

I too can offer up a few Revolution decks if need be. I really don't want to have to build them from scratch and then just hand over the driver seat. So if you have a deck idea or need help constructing something (Revolution format) and are missing the cards to get you going, I can certainly help out and loan those cards to you.

I would send them along with those from the So-Cal area that will be making it to this year's event.

Ladies and Gentlemen-

While specific wording issues are still being worked out, I am pleased to announce that Raw Deal has OFFICIALLY been approved for GenCon 2012!  We WILL have an assigned spot.  We WILL have our own tables.  We WILL be in the book.  And we WILL have more organization than last year!  We are just a few months away.  New Champion?  Repeat Champion?  Only one way to find out!

questions:

Survival of the Fittest = non-virtual classic or virtual classic?

For the "intro to raw deal" events are you going to have some basic starter-ish decks to be given to players? If not anyone going and playing be able to make a few? It might help turn out or more people jumping on board if we're like "here is how to play this cool game. Here is a deck (or 2) so you can play with a friend". Just Stone Cold or Rock or Road dogg or something with a basic pre-match mid-match set up all wrapped in something that says "TeamCanadaonline.ne t"?

Just to confirm that question no one's asked - yet - Virtual 5 will NOT be legal for GenCon.  Sorry playtesters, no edge for you.  Wink

1 - Non-virtual Classic

2 - The goal is to have a few Starter decks to hand out.  Hopefully I'll be able to gather enough.

I think the regulars throughout the years can donate a mediocre deck to the cause.

I can certainly offer up a few decks.

Powers That Be: Prize support? Please email me or PM me with what is needed and I'll do what I can. I'd like to get this squared away sooner rather than later, including who am I sending the prizes to.

Thanks,

I'd be willing to shell out money for enough Revo cards to make a competative deck, doesn't have to be a fully pre-constructed deck, just the stuff I'd need to make one.  I'll PM you when I get time to discuss this in detail.  And thank you.

As for prize support?  I still haven't received mine from -last- year's GenCon...So if there will actually be some there this year, that'd be fantastic.

The 'Powers That Be' is basically D2, since he's on-site running the event, and me - since everybody asks me everything anyway, lol.  (And of course, my advisor staff, who get paid the highest percentage of the profits for Virtual Raw Deal, lol)  So let's pull that conversation to a private exchange, and we'll sort it all out there.  Smiley

So to go to be in Worlds you need at least 5 different decks, I just found out about the new virtual stuff and havent played since Barron died, if someone could explain to me what all these new formats are that would be awsome, I just have a Revolution deck and a Classic deck I guess thats whats its called.
