There really has been very little hype for the WWE 2012 Royal Rumble. As of right now there are only like 8-10 confirmed participants. Lame.

I much prefer only knowing 8-10 participants. The excitement of the Rumble (to me anyways) is the unexpected returns and one shot deals. The worst is knowing that there are only 3 guests, wheeas, heck, there could be 20 this year! lol


That doesn't change the fact that I'm excited for the results of this Rumble on TCO.

HHH gets out of the ring and gets on a mic, "I want you again at WrestleMania Undertaker. And I will get your attention by any means neccessary."
(Jim Ross: Jeezum god! HHH is delivering blow after blow with that sledgehammer to the face of Kane! Somebody stop this! Jerry Lawler: I can't say I have any sympathy for Kane, but it looks like HHH is gonna kill him. We need some people out here!)
Meanwhile in the ring its THE FINAL TWO - Big Show (dilbert505) and Daniel Bryan (Turd Ferguson)
Bryan gets a hold of Show in the LEBELL LOCK (2)
Suddenly the lights in the arena go out...


They come back on.


THE UNDERTAKER is in the ring! Show gets up with Bryan locked on him, Undertaker sets his eyes on HHH and Kane outside the ring. Undertaker stomps towards HHH. Show slowly moves towards the ropes with Bryan still on him intent on dumping the smaller man over. Show/Bryan block Undertaker's exit from the ring, Undertaker pushes both of them aside and gets out of the ring and jumps from the apron onto HHH. The push from Taker has destroyed Show's balance, he wobbles and falls into the ropes. The added weight of Bryan on his back sends both of them over the top, Bryan manages to let go and he latches his arms and legs onto the ropes as Show crashes to the floor.

Well first off congrats to Turd for the win...unfortunately the Rattlesnake cost Punk and therefore me a win.  Not suprised or terribly upset about it as I could see that happening rather easilly in real life(Austin causing Punk a Rumble win somehow).

All ranting aside, once again congrats Turd on the win.  Neil another fine job on the Rumble and can't wait for not only the real one tomorrow night but for your next one whenever you decide to have one.

Neil, do you happen to have all-time stats for these things handy? I can't help but think this whole finishing as the runner-up thing has happened to me more than once before. Hell, I think I've finished as runner up specifically with the Big Show before.

This is my third runner-up finish, once with Dupree, twice with Big Show, and another time I was second runner-up (With Jim Neidhart, of all people.) It's weird to be good enough to hang in late all the time, but not ever get it right enough to win. Still glad we get to do this, and one of these days, I'll finally get this bloody thing right.
