Woo first post, i like the Finly and rey cards all of them, i'm thinking after playing with Shawn a little bit i will like him also, i think Flair might be a little too much with the 4 thing, but then thats how it was in the RDC so it's fair.
I hate Saintoin (i can't even spell his name) but i think his cards are ace and love the ideas... especailly "you are.."

Santino Marella (Superstar Card)
Starting Hand Size: 6

Your F: 0 maneuvers are considered Multi until they are successfully played.

Is this going to be ruled as printed F: 0 maneuvers?

If not then Precision Kick/Precision Clothesline Multi?

NRD has no Precision Kick or Precision Clothesline.  Please re-read the relevant information on New Raw Deal.

READ POSTS!!

From the FAQ thread:
Quote
Q: Are the cards meant to interact with Revo/Classic?
A: Nope!  Everything you see here wasn't playtested externally, so though you could mix them with your older cards, it wasn't the intent.

Yeesh, twice in one day...

What CREED says is correct: New Raw Deal wasn't playtested with Old Raw Deal in mind.  You CAN combine the two, but NRD format matches will only allow NRD cards, for balancing issues.

I will agree with TempestTenor when he stated that Santino is sick...The only question I have is that his ability states that your F:0 Maneuvers are multis until they are successfully played...So your opponent will still need 2 reversals to reverse it when you play the F:0 maneuver, and I agree, you should add on their that it needs to be printed...just incase you guys create a card the works just like Ego Boost from RDC

Question: Santino's F:0 maneuvers stop being multi when it's time for your opponent to take damage and reverse from the arsenal, right?  That makes him a slightly less sick.  Slightly.  =)

At the moment, Santino isn't out of control.  Even if he has the ability later on to make maneuvers a bit cheaper, he's still not running wild for the reason expressed below (look down to my response to TT).

Question: Santino's F:0 maneuvers stop being multi when it's time for your opponent to take damage and reverse from the arsenal, right?  That makes him a slightly less sick.  Slightly.  =)

This is correct.  Even if Santino powers through his F:0s as multis, they stop being multis once they're successful so a single overturned reversal is enough to stop them.

Anyways, I have some homework for the lot of you.  Once a day, read 'Technicality' until the card has really sunken in.  A lot of people's initial reaction is going to be determined by how much they understand and appreciate that card, especially when we start looking at characters like CM Punk...

Santino = the new Johnny.  Good way to get started, probably gonna have a hard time finishing people off.

Shawn seems weak, but it's tough to say as I haven't played a game of NRD in my life.

Finly is strong in any format so long as you have the cards you can work with him on.  Finly + MoD would be sick if it existed.

Mysterio looks all right.  Flair looks strong enough.  But Flair and Santino brought the lolz

Shawn seems weak, but it's tough to say as I haven't played a game of NRD in my life.

I figure I'd respond to both of these as one unit.

Shawn is far from weak; His cards have powerful synergy, especially in a world where getting to mid-range Fortitude isn't as difficult as it once was.

And the reason SCM only reverses HR is twofold.  1) It's the only kind of maneuver a hopping kick to the face would logically reverse, and 2) You probably only ever want to play it as a maneuver part of your super-deluxe combo:

Get to 20F -> Kip-up -> SCM -> Either Win from the SCM, or lose from Kip-up, in which case your ability activates and you draw 3 cards for SCM stun.

It was given the reversal side primarily so that in future you can search for it as a reversal off TITSTME when Michaels gets more maneuvers to search for.

Ah I saw that the Kip Up lead directly to the SCM, but did not consider the synergy between the Kip-Up's downside, Shawn's ability, and SCM's stun value.  That is indeed a sick combo.  I'm not a fan of combo decks...I'm more into decks that rely on one's superstar ability.  Santino Marella it is!

P.S. Ha ha ha ha...the acronym for The Icon ... The Showstoppa ... The Main Event resembles "tits time"

Here is another point to the Santino Deck...We should act like Santino with who plays a deck based on him to make it more comical. I know with bleach, if you play Amazing Armor of Justice the card states that you have to say Amazing Armor of Justice protect me or it gets discarded automatically...I think it would be funny to use Santino's voice while using his deck...lol. So we should have to say it as a funny rule ya know

ROFL ha ha ha if there'll be NRD at the con and I'm able to go...you're on!

Edit: So I'm at the Wizard Con site and it's pretty poorly laid out.  Did they historically have RD there?  Is it mostly a comic con?  Anime?  CCG?  Board game?

The Dirtiest Player in the Game (Ric Flair Logo)
Action / Reversal: Special
As an action, search your Arsenal for the card titled “Over Sell Maneuver”, reveal it to your opponent, shuffle your Arsenal and put it in your hand.
As a reversal, reverse any card with a Style and end your opponent’s turn.
When this card is in your Ring, your Superstar Ability now reads “Once during each of your turns, before your Draw Phase, you may look at the top 4 cards of either player’s Arsenal and put them back in any order.”

F: 4      D: 0

Does "either" mean you can look at both players' arsenals per turn or you have to pick just one?
