i'll back you up on that Tempest...That sounds like a good time...if i can get a spot at Wizard World in 2009 in philly, you should come to make it interesting

GAMHHH

ROFL ha ha ha if there'll be NRD at the con and I'm able to go...you're on!

Edit: So I'm at the Wizard Con site and it's pretty poorly laid out.  Did they historically have RD there?  Is it mostly a comic con?  Anime?  CCG?  Board game?

Wizard World East/Philly/Whatever the hell they're calling it this time is primarily a comic convention, sponsored by the magazine Wizard. The con's usually got a huge showroom floor with a ton of merchants, several exhibits of comics, movie, and game companies (Lion's Gate, TNA, Upper Deck, Wizards of the Coast, DC, and Nintendo are the big ones I remember from the couple years I'd gone), a series of panels and roundtables about comics, several autograph booths, including the inevitable Virgil booth, and tons of table space for Magic, Mage Knight, Vs., Raw Deal, and whatever the hell else is popular at the time.

They held Raw Deal Worlds Qualifiers there a couple times, though Barron wasn't able to come more often than he made it. My first year there (three cons ago, now) Barron was supposed to be there but wasn't well, so Tom McKelvey ran the event, at considerable cost to his collection (They couldn't get him enough prize support in time.) The following year, Barron ran the events, and actually was playtesting Andre vs. Spirit Squad at the time. This year, there was no qualifier, due to a CI decision/Barron being unavailable, so I didn't go to the con.

I can guarantee that NRD will be played at WWE this upcoming year, since gamhhh, Queensryche, and I will be there to judge the event (along with any other judges or rules guys who can make it to Philly [/blatanttrollingforhelp]). There will also be RDAP + Creed's set, if people want to play that, so whatever you guys have, come on down, and we'll be glad to accomodate. I for one would like to see a Tornado Tag event, since I've been pushing the other guys to build decks for a while now and we haven't gotten anywhere to date.

Awesome.  Thanks for the info dilbert!  Do you know when the official schedule for WW Philly 2009 will be posted so that I'll know what day's tickets to buy to play NRD?

At the moment, I don't. gamhhh is handling all the contact with the Wizard people, so I'd need to hear from him first, and last I checked he was having some difficulty getting in contact. We're about 10 months out, so I suspect it's not a major problem. There will be several announcements on TCO, though, and probably some other sites as well.

As Dlibert simply put it, I am trying to get in contact with the Philadelphia Convention Center. When I know, I will post...I can tell you this is if I run the event I will run it like Barron did as in Pods on Friday and Sunday and then the main tournament on Saturday.

I hope I can get a lot of people to go and all. I would love to run RDC as well as NRD at Wizard World Philly next year too. I will also make a poll later down the line so everyone that is appart of Team Canada and any other Raw Deal site can vote on which format to play on Saturday.

173/300
The Dirtiest Player in the Game (Ric Flair Logo)
Action / Reversal: Special
As an action, search your Arsenal for the card titled “Over Sell Maneuver”, reveal it to your opponent, shuffle your Arsenal and put it in your hand.
As a reversal, reverse any card with a Style and end your opponent’s turn.
When this card is in your Ring, your Superstar Ability now reads “Once during each of your turns, before your Draw Phase, you may look at the top 4 cards of either player’s Arsenal and put them back in any order.”
Unique
F: 4      D: 0

Does "either" mean you can look at both players' arsenals per turn or you have to pick just one?
You pick just one.

With Santino's Winding Up the Elbow once it is successful, would it then become the 2F 8D High Risk since you now have 2 or more Fortitude?

I believe cards revert to their printed versions unless explicitly stated.

I agree with Bryson. If it doesn't have printed on the card, or explicitly state that it stays a grapple while in the ring, it'll only count as a strike.

OK I am a bit confused (not that is hard to due) so let me set up the scenerio. I am playing Santino and I am at 0F and I play Winding Up the Elbow. It is a multi due to my ability. Now here is where things get fuzzy in my head.

Since Winding say "If you have 2F" the moment your opponent says that it is successful, then you have that. So my question is this: for overturned reversals only, is it a 0f 6d Strike or a 2f 8d High Risk?

Unless explicitly stated, the card doesn't re-check upon becoming successful, iirc.

I agree with Bryson's logic, but can't think of any specific examples. Maybe worth adding "When played," to the beginning of the card?
