That's it. I'm playing Cryme Tyme. I don't care what else comes out, I haven't figured out a strategy, but that ability must be mine. I mean, at its absolute worst, it's RDAP Jericho + Shut the Hell Up, and beyond that, I get to barter with people. Damn. (Not to mention that Pop a 40 is fun as hell.)

Random thoughts:

Edge's ability applies to Set-up actions as well?  Seems pretty brutal.

The Mask Stays On makes Santino Marella very sad.

Umaga is...interesting.

Cryme Tyme is...huh?  Wha?  I can't be reading this right...

If Edge is hitting you with multiple Set-ups, you've probably got bigger problems than the 1 overturn for each ^_^;;

I was referring to the first part of his ability mostly.  My understanding is that "action hate" is usually directed at non-set-up actions to punish those who use actions instead of maneuvers to win games.  Set-up actions usually lead to some kind of big maneuver, which I thought should be encouraged because it mimics actual wrestling.

Okay I think I've been misreading Cryme Tyme.  The point of their ability is to allow their opponent to bargain with Cryme Tyme to get that randomly discarded card back, right?  Is there a mechanism for counteroffers or does the opponent have only one opportunity to name an offer without consulting with Cryme Tyme?

Edit:
Also, the opponent has the ability to choose four different numbers for the four different self-detrimental/pro-Cryme-Tyme effects right?

Well if Cryme Tyme's opponent names 60 as the number of cards for Cryme Tyme to draw, Cryme Tyme can just refuse the whole offer and the opponent won't get his card back.  There's nothing that binds Cryme Tyme to accept the offer that his opponent puts out.

Good comments all around.  Here's a few of my own.

Edge, as I'm sure you can tell, has an anti-Maneuver theme to him.  Allowing his ability punish your opponent for playing Set-ups was intentional, as it follows along with this theme.  You have to plan your attack carefully against him.

Although your intentions are good, this won't happen the way you describe.

Mr. Tenor is correct: If your opponent names 60 as the number of cards for CT to draw, CT just refuses the offer.  That's why it says 'If you agree...'

There needs to be no mechanism for counter-offers because both players can simply discuss the decision before your opponent makes his first (and only) official offer.

And yes, they can choose any combination of the four effects.

Okay I wasn't sure if "table talk" discussions of the offer between the two players was allowed or not.

Yeah.  It's much easier to handle than a system which can theoretically go back and forth between offer and counter-offer forever.

So Edge is anti-Action AND anti-Maneuvers?  What recourse would his opponent have then?  Between these two cards Edge's opponent's hand will deplete very quickly.

Edit: Well let me rephrase that.  I'm sure you guys playtested Edge and had the same concerns as I have.  How did Edge's opponent's hands NOT deplete quickly during playtesting?

Edit2: Live Sex Celebration makes Edge's opponent discard for even attempting to play a non-Run-in Maneuver.  That's just not cool  Sad

Care.

Extreme care.

On the up-side, none of what Edge does is voluntary on his part, so you can take all the time you need to get prepared to take it to him.  He can't make you discard until you /want/ to start discarding.

It refers to the Damage of the card when it's played, whatever that may be.

Quick question on this one:  Do you keep all the cards that are revealed into hand, or just the Reversals?  I read it as everything revealed goes to hand, is this the intention?

This stuff is awesome, keep it up!

What if you reveal your entire Arsenal without revealing 2 Reversal cards?  The answer is probably just to shuffle the revealed cards back into your Arsenal and do nothing, but I don't think that's explicitly obvious from the card's wording.

Hornswoggle (Superstar Card)
Starting Hand Size: 5
Superstar Value: 1
Superstar Ability:
You may discard 2 Reversal cards to reverse any non-Unique Maneuver.  If you do, your opponent overturns 3 cards.
You cannot play Maneuvers unless they are Unique, 3D or less, or Run-ins.

284/300
Managed by Father Finlay (Hornswoggle Logo)
Pre-match Manager
Your first maneuver played each turn is considered a Run-in.
Unique
F: 0      D: 0

Just had a little question about these two cards.  Does this mean that you can pack maneuvers of more than 3D, but only play them when Managed by Finlay is out?

It's basically saying Hornswaggle just stands there as Daddy Finlay sneaks in and hits a move for him  Tongue
