I haven't played or touched Raw Deal since March of 2007 when it pretty much was dying in the Toronto area. But that doesn't mean I didn't miss it. Well, on a whim I decided I'd check the boards here out to see if there's been any activity in the Raw Deal world, and to my very pleasant surprise, I see this and the Revo 4 project!

I love the idea of the New Raw Deal project and I'm sure that it will get both me and my brother playing the game again (and hopefully some friends who formerly played as well).

So just one question - when do you guys expect to have the print-ready files available? Also, does anyone currently play on Lackey? If so I'll make a deck or two in advance.

Anyways, good job guys and I can't wait to play this!

Ah, thank you for the kind words.

As of this moment, 275/300 cards are print-ready, but I'm spending a bit of extra time on the 25 superstar cards to make sure they're of comparable quality to the rest.  Although the team was able to quite accurately replicate the traditional card templates, the Superstar cards posed a unique problem that kept them from looking as good as I would have liked.

With any luck, they'll be ready by this weekend.

People play NRD and Revo4 both on Lackey; If you sift through the boards you can find some partners and the Lackey patches.  You can always hit me up too for a game, if I'm around.

Not to take away from NRD, but if you ever get the urge to play RDC, let Barrie know. We still have a regular turnout of 8-10 people. If you let us know in advance, we could guarantee a tourny for old times sake. Heck, if you're playgroup grows back again, we could travel to you. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Hey Scotty, long time! That sounds good, I might take you guys up on that offer sometime.

On the topic of NRD, have you guys looked into it? And do you guys think you'll be giving it a try?

Just like the original poster, I haven't touched the game for over two years.
Now, while preparing to move house, I have dusted off the cards, and instead of packing am perusing through old decks.
Admittedly, I had lost complete interest once my play group folded, but seeing the cards again brought me back to this site. Lo and behold, I find Revo 4. This has really piqued my interest, and I intend to seek out the other players again.

A big thank you to all involved.

Haha, thank you for the kind words, but this is perhaps the wrong set of forums to be thanking for Revo4 ^_^;;

I've been pushing for either NRD or Revo4, heck, even both. The problem is, we aren't truly bored with RDC yet. For example, next week we are having a Eugene tournament. One player is only playing high risk SS, one is only play Throw into Turnbuckle moves, etc. Soon enough, I'm sure it will become popular.

Once Bryson gets the face cards done, I'll print a few out and see how it goes.

I've built a PR only Eugene. NO FOILS at all. You know what? Neither of the turnbuckles are foil either. I'm gonna do it!!!

That's an awesome tourney idea! Eugene's one of my favorites too. When is this happening exactly?

Ah, thank you for your kind words.  I wish I had a better answer than 'soon', especially given the countless delays, but at the moment that's all I can offer.  The cards are, as I've mentioned before, all complete, but my only access to the internet is using an Aircard at the moment, which is good for posting on TCO but not so good for uploading 30-40 10Meg files.

In short, until I have a chance to get out of here, the only thing holding this up is a slow internet connection.

Though I'm hoping to get an opportunity to escape over the next weekend or two, it's difficult to tell ahead of time if that's feasible.  At the COMPLETE OUTSIDE, I get to move back home on May 7th, so that's the very latest you can expect the cards.

Just a random suggestion, but you could place the files on cd, and mail them to Creed, or Antigoth to upload on your behalf. Smiley

A good suggestion, but problematic on two levels.

Firstly, I don't have any blank CDs, nor immediate access to blank CDs.  My connection with the outside world is quite minimal at the moment; If I were able to casually go buy some CDs, I'd go to an internet cafe and upload the files instead.  I do have a USB key, but I'm hesitant to part with it.

Secondly, for similar reasons to the above my access to mail facilities are minimal.

This has all been unfortunately timed, but so is life.  In the grand scheme of things, I see the delay as a small price to pay for a game I'm sure you'll all enjoy.
