Ladies and gentlemen,

I took the PDFs to a print shop to have them printed, only to be told that it won't work properly with the cards physically bordering an edge.

Without further ado, re-uploads of the files for printing.

I have card stock and a color printer--is professional printing really going to affect play in tournaments at all?

Not even sorta.

Provided your cards are sleeved and indistinguishable from one another, I don't care how you print them ^_^

Got these done today, the cards look beautiful.

Some tips:

1. Ask for the printing to be a bit brighter than default. The cards turned out a bit dark.
2. Do the cutting yourself. Staples said they had to manually trim them one by one (maybe she didn't know what she was talking about but this is what I got stuck with), and I had to come back in 3 hours to find she had done a horrible job. I had my order refunded and got them printed out again. The cost of staples manually trimming these sheets is more than the cost of a paper trimmer. If you don't have one might as well buy one.

Once I'm done cutting these up they will look sweet.

#1 is a big yes -- Laser printing is going to make your cards darker by default (and glossy), so don't be afraid to go brighter on the prints. It will make them look much better.

#2 I disagree with. Staples, Kinkos, etc. should all have an electric paper cutter used for this procedure. It cost roughly $2 per cut and you will need 8 cuts (4 vertical, 4 horizontal -- so $16). On normal weighted paper (20lb), they will be able to cut roughly 250 sheets at a single time. This means that it cost (again roughly) $16 to have 250 sheets cut for you.

Now, with that being said -- Leave VERY specific information as to how you want the cards cut. Or you will probably wind up with messed up cuts. Personally, I'm not having mine printed at Staples, but I'm very likely to have them cut either there or at Kinkos.

What pound of paper did you go with Encubed? I figure it's probably standard as the Staples near me only offered me 2 different options (and neither of which were the 110lb paper I wanted...)

How much did they cost to get printed? I'd like to have a set just for the hell of it. I probably won't ever have a chance to use them so I won't do it if it costs too much.

They were 55 cents a page (49 print + 6 card stock). At 68 pages (1x SS Specifics +3x non-uniques) that's $37.40 (+ 13% tax in Canada) If you're ok with having just 1x of the non-uniques, have the amount: $18.70.

$0.40 for me double-sided, with me buying and brining my own paper. Less than $0.20 per page single-sided with me bringing my own paper.

My local shop doesn't keep thick cardstock in stock, but Walmart does and the print shop gives discounts if you bring in your own paper anyway -- so it works out.

I too had them print out the cards at a much higher brightness.  Staples had an electronic cutting machine they used for the cards, but it wasn't near perfect.  I may have the cutting done by a professional print shop next time.

Anyways, JDUB, why won't you have an opportunity to use them?  No one else in your area willing to try?

My local Staples must be run by a bunch of monkeys, as they had no idea how to turn brightness up and insisted this couldn't be done with their electronic cutting machine. Kinko's did a great job cutting though and it only cost me $8, so I take back the second point I had made about cutting it yourself.

Also, my brother and I had great fun playing this, he beat my Santino twice with his Rey Rey.

Now if only I could find more people who would play this!

I don't really see any of the Raw Deal players anymore. None of them really play any CCGs anymore so I don't see them all that much and the ones I do see really wouldn't have a desire to try it out. Overall the CCG scene around here is crap so no one new would even consider it.  Undecided Only time I would get to use them is if I go to GenCon.

I still may just get them printed anyways because it would be cool as hell.
