LAISE's ability still has functionality, regardless of efficiency (that's another conversation, and a highly subjective one at that).  For Big Show, its a total downgrade to switch back to his old ability.  Though I suppose it would be simpler just to make the card outright Permanent... hmm.

maybe just let LAISE get a handsize boost from it if its permanent for both them?  Since Big Show would be starting with 10 effectively and LAISE would just have the 7?  Notwithstanding any other prematch handboost

So why would you play LAISE over Big Show if you're planning to go with the Storyline? Smiley

The card is intended for Big Show, if you really want to play it with LAISE you can, but its not intended to help him.... it was intended for Big Show, who's ability is pretty much ass in this era, heh.  LAISE, as previously discussed, didn't need no stinkin' help.. Wink

I looked at it as LAISE got more help from it than big show did since it gave him a 3fort antic reversal AND guranteed NWO card support that Big Show would have had to protect more to keep it  Tongue

For the purposes of Lashley's card, can you please define what a "Trait" is?  As far as I can tell, my list is Face/Heel/Chain/Heat/Volley/Fan Favorite/Cheater/Unique/Active/Multi but it does not include Blindside/Precision/Shoot/Dynamic/any other title-based mechanism.  Did I miss any?

Also, for The Spirit Squad's card, it is possible to remove one of your Superstar Cards from the game and then shuffle it into your arsenal.  Am I correct in saying that if I did so, they'd be dead cards with a type of "Backstage Card"?

No it isn't.  Wink
You can't shuffle a Backlash card into your Arsenal - likewise, Backstage cards can't go to your Arsenal either.  Smiley

Or Dude Love.  Or Finlay.

Why would Doink's pure Backstage cards be any different?  I know it's been done before, but that doesn't mean it's correct.

If it was done, it was done illegally.  No card text was ever printed that said 'you can shuffle this Backstage Card into your Arsenal' (until Hornswoggle, of course), so if someone assumed that just because something could theoretically be possible that it was a legal play, that was their mistake, heh.  Especially since the FAQ actually says, under Doink: "-Backstage Area cards moved to the Ringside pile cannot be moved to hand, Backlash deck, Arsenal, or the Ring Area."

Its just 'shiny object syndrome', we saw it dozens of time during the game.  Some new card would say 'reverse any card' and people would start the wave of 'me too'ism backing the guy who asked if he could reverse Step Aside, completely forgetting we'd had this discussion with RTC's Censored and Kurt Angle's Medals and so on.  But at least with the FAQ we could point to the document and say 'See?  It's been there for a while, we aren't 'hating on your deck', you just made assumptions that weren't true' lol

Whoops, starting to drift toward Rant department there, heh.  But yeah, its not an issue, it just can't be done.  (except Hornswoggle, of course, because he very specifically says he can and how).

No, he's told by his Superstar Ability that he can pack them in his Arsenal.  Thus, they become Arsenal cards instead.  That's why cards that allow you to put stuff in your Backlash deck like TLC Match are VERY specific that they are no longer Backlash cards once played or reversed.  Smiley

No. It's looking for the ability to universally pack Edge, Christian, or Orton cards, like if you're Edge, Christian, Orton, a Revolution version, or a remake. Tomorrow's WWE Legends doesn't help in the slightest.

Text changes are not made outside of the Revisions unless absolutely necessary (see Time to Face Your "Doom" gaining the RMS). If this change does happen, it'll happen in the upcoming Second Revision.

hello there creed and the crew... have a cuestion for all ...can somebody tell me how i can stop Austin's patented kick to the Gut with the second review of Bionic Kicking Machine...the only way that i've found was to build a fan favorite deck..to use It's great to be back here... but the cheaters just can stand against that card ( as long here in chile)...

austin's just have to pack trash talkin' interview TB (or be a Volley Deck), Raw IC belt and a title's on the line to deal you just 36 Damage via , Austin's kick---> STUNNER! ----->SCStunner... can you tell me how i can stop it? cause i can't find the solution xD:..

so i want to know if there is gonna be another revision of that card xD...

thanks for all.

Anyone with Unique reversals like Eddie Guerrero... Restricted Use removes the protection from Kicking Machine so you can use normal reversals...  Title's on the Line is still an ACE, DTTAH works, so does Frankie Takes Ho-llywood and the new Classic Teamwork, Over Sell Maneuver stops the turn after Patented Kick.. there's a ton of good answers in there.

We've no interest in making Austin BAD again, haha.  The point of giving him a strong card is to make him good again, why would we want to take that away?

the first revision was balanced only ten superstars can stop the kick with the second revision of that card, the idea is that any deck such as A-train or Spirit Squad can stop it... just putting divine intervention inside the deck  or forgeting TTOTL. the just the kick itself is unbalanced xD...

It's not busted or unbalanced in any way.  there are 289643763 different ways to reverse austin's patented kicks it needed a big boost.  Even if someone titles on the line it with or without great to be back still reverses it.  while yes the STUNNER after it is hard to stop that also needed it as it was VERY unplayable before hand.  There's still cow to stop stunner or reverse the ACE on what if they try and remove it

First off, that revision has been in place for months, that was a First Revision change. Secondly, before, Patented Austin Kick to the Gut was garbage. Bionic Kicking Machine was a pointless card because the moves it powered were trash and got reversed by everything under the sun. Austin was incredibly weak, especially compared to his Revolution version, and he needed something to bring him up, so why not his patented kicks?

They're not intended to be so easy to reverse, a caveman can do it. If you're having problems with Title's On the Line, Don't Try This at Home, Restricted Use in This Area, and It's Great To Be Back Here In... are all very helpful to buy you time until Unique reversals come online. The Raw Deal Revolution reverses Patented Austin Kicks at 2F (4F for the TB), for example.

The Kick isn't unbalanced, it's strong, intentionally so.

Um, read my previous post again, I just told you how ANYONE can stop it with the right tools.

We make good cards.  We can't, however, make you build good decks.  That's up to you.

The tools are there, if you don't use them correctly, that's not a design flaw.  It's like saying 'Actions are BROKEN because I don't pack Action reversals!'  Smiley

To update, we're starting playtesting on Revo 5, and at this point I'm confident we will FINALLY have the WCW revision done by the end of the week, even if I catch fire and have to type with heavily bandaged hands while doing my best Darkman impression... Smiley

Meanwhile, here's some info on Revo 5 - a list of some (but not all) of those in the set:

SUPERSTARS:
The Legacy
Priceless
Miz & Morrison
Carlito & Primo Colon
Vladimir Kozlov
Santino Marella
Jack Swagger
...and the Raw Guest Host Smiley

REMAKES:
John Cena
Vince McMahon
The Great Khali (non-Revo)
Umaga (non-Revo)

DIVAS:
Beth Phoenix
Gail Kim
Brie Bella
Nikki Bella

PROMO SUPERSTARS:
JeriShow
The Nature Boy (Flair remake)
The Bella Twins
Sheriff Austin

REVOLUTION SUPERSTARS:
The Big Show
Kurt Angle
Christian
William Regal

Note that the development has taken place over the course of the year, so while the Raw Deal tag team curse has struck at least twice, we also have some 'older' details, like Gail Kim wrestling on Smackdown as she did earlier this year.  Also, there is a former Superstar that I believe a lot of people (like myself) will be glad to see in the game, but this is our 'big surprise' for this set, heh.
