where can we get the logos of the superstars to make our own cards to play with our friends? or if we just want to do a fantasy card do you have it? or all the stuff to do a good card? THANKS!

I don't share my work, or teach people how to use programs.  I spent months learning how to do it the first time around in R4, then when I was kindly given high-quality card scans, I spent months doing it all over again from scratch, so we could have cards that look as close to the printed versions as possible.  So no, that's not just going to be handed to someone so they could make a Pokemon or Mario & Luigi superstar card, haha.  

I understand you take this serious creed, or maybe you just took it the wrong way (or maybe I am) but I dont see why sending the guy a basic template for a superstar card or something of the like is all that outrageous. I know you have made huge modifications to your templates yourself but then again the scans that you use you already admitted to being given to you. He wasnt asking to be taught how to fish, just where the fish were.

Maybe I just dont see the big picture but I dont see why giving a basic template that you got handed to you to someone else is sharing your work.

Nope, you don't see it at all, lol.

Getting high-quality images to work from isn't that hard, if you a) have a high-quality scanner or b) know where to look online.  I was given the high-quality scans for Classic cards, but the Revolution cards were pulled from the internet.  But having the source material is the equivalent to knowing where there's a lake with fish in it.

Sorry, but your analogy is completely inaccurate.  Giving someone a template you spent weeks and months working on isn't telling them where to fish... its handing them one of the fish you spent hours by the lake catching.

My templates are set up to be as 'automatic' as possible.  Type the card name here, add and format the card text here, drop in the picture, put the number & logo on this layer here, and save. (oversimplifying it, but you get the idea)  And I did that with hours spent over weeks (not exaggerating or being dramatic at all here) refining and studying the original cards to match up colors, fonts, sizing, and so on.

The guy was not asking for your master stuff you spend weeks creating, he was looking for templates, jesus there are several on this site alone, would it have been all that hard to send him a link instead of the bantering on how you worked so hard and he would have just made super mario superstar cards? That's being a little condescending don't you think? Look I appreciate all the work you have done, I REALLY do but you could have just sent the kid the link on here instead of saying "I dont share"

That's okay, I was pretty offended that you would try to call me out without an understanding of the time and effort put into this project, but I calmed down first before I posted.  Since I didn't create those other templates, how would I know anything about them?  I don't profess to know anything about playing Pokemon, so of course I wouldn't give any advice on that either.

And considering that file you linked is apparently corrupted, or at least it doesn't work correctly when downloaded, did you really accomplish something?  I mean, you clearly didn't CHECK the file first, it comes across that you just tried to show me up.

Maybe its not being condescending at all, perhaps I was trying to explain it to you and you blew me off rather than listen to what I said.  And then you provided a dead link that doesn't really help anyone.  Next time, perhaps you should calm down and take time to review the subject rather than rush to a hasty, angry response.

Anyway, the preview is over, and since people have started trying to hijack it, its time to lock it down.
