This is a good opportunity to ask: Who are you, and where are you from?

I am Zack Fullerton, former manager in Lubbock, TX.  Our playgroup died out around Great American Bash, and no one in the area thought Revolution was a good idea so no one continued past that.  Started messing around with the old cards when I saw the New Raw Deal spoilers in August or so of 2008 and waited for that to begin playing again.  There is no real tourney scene just a few friends getting together now and then.

Not bad at all, I can definently see JBl abusing the throwback mechanic and my rey rey is going to love Short Arm Rib Breaker.

I do have one question, are we going to see another title belt in NRD 2 or is title Belt clubberin going to be limited to 'league' games for the most part. (that's how we plan to use it anyway if we get the cards)

At present, I'd like to release a few other titles as time goes on, but since most areas will be 4-8 players in general, there's probably no need at present.

The way it's supposed to be set-up is:

You have one title belt per 8 people.

The current title holder MUST pack the title:
1) Once per month, on a pre-determined date (PPV), during which time the winner of the tournament gets the belt (provided they win via Pinfall :O).
and
2) Each time they play a game using the superstar they used to win the title.

There is no expectation that the title holder will use the same superstar or deck from PPV to PPV (titles can change hands on B-shows), but if they CHOOSE to use the same superstar during that time then they MUST pack the belt at all times.

This gives the possibility of belt circulation between PPVs thanks to "The Title is On The Line", of which there are 8 copies in each tournament kit.

* * *

For example:

Week 1 (PPV), Scott wins the PPV with Chavo, so now Scott (Chavo) holds the belt.
Week 2, Scott plays Chavo (MUST pack belt).
Week 3, Scott plays Batista (does not have to pack belt, but MAY).
Week 4, Scott plays Chavo (MUST pack belt).
Week 5 (PPV), Scott may play anyone he wants, but MUST pack the belt.

Hmm.... Interesting, as a rule I'd probably keep ahold of the title on the line cards so everyone could get a pass at the champ during 'Raw/Smackdown' but they have challenge for the match the previous week or if there is no challenge 'The GM demands it!" (basically if the champ isnt defending his title that week, he'll defend it against a random opponent)

I would still suggest a 'Do It Yourself title belt' generic prematch for the people made their own titles on the show (the spinner, the skull belt, the FTW title, etc)
Maybe something along the lines of
+1 SSV +1 Starting Hand Size and it's only effect being "your opponent cannot take control of this card with 'the title is on the line'. If your opponent has 'the title is on the line' in his ring area, Reduce the number of prematch you may play by 1 and if your opponent successfully plays his first non prematch card of the game he draws 2 cards"

But that's just me.
All in all, Good on ya! Smiley
