Someone hit the Fast Forward button, and we're jumping ahead in time!  Smiley  This is the first half of the card support for Classic Superstars.  As you can see, not everyone gets a card, we tried to focus on a) Superstars that still needed a little something, b) giving Superstars their own TMFs, and c) a popular move or thing that wasn't already in the game.  So here's part 1 (of 2) for Classic Support:

For those wondering what's left:

Wave 9 - Bellas and Festus
Wave 10 - Revolution Angle, Big Show, and Christian
Wave 11 - Revolution Regal and Promo Superstars
Wave 13 - Classic Support Pt 2.
Wave 14/15 - R4 Support Pts 1/2
Wave 16 - "Prize" cards (Throwbacks/Errata editions)

those look very good.  Tho I wonder if Molly Holly will get her handspring back elbow splash.  It would be a shame that she never got that.

However,  I glad that at least the undertaker got hell's gate.

As an action, The Saving Grace doesn't resolve to the ring area (it ends up in the arsenal), so it wouldn't do any damage anyway.

In order to keep text to a minimum, only cards that resolve to the ring area deal damage.

Would the first sentence on Big Poppa Pumps's Backstage card be subject to Restricted Use in this Area, or are Backstage Cards not "cards?"

Yes  it would be subject to Restricted Use. The only Backstage card that isn't considered a card is a Superstar.  Smiley

I think Brock's backstage card needs to be taken off the standard back stage template.  (Slight modification needed.)  The top of the card says it gets revealed with the superstar.  The card text says it's revealed when COllegiate Champions gets reversed.  These statements are obviously in conflict with each other.

That's actually a rule that has been around since the beginning, but they always put the -D as reminder text.  We felt it wasn't necessary, though it has caused a small bit of questions since people didn't realize it was a rule all along, heh.  But I think people are getting the idea now.

Huh.  Hadn't thought about that.  I'll look into it, thanks!  Smiley

Did you use a Tardis or the Delorean to pull this off Creed?   Got a question though, I always thought Hell's Gate and Taking Care of Business were two names for the same move (come to that, I don't actually recall it being called TCOB ever on TV).

And what was the Saving Grace, was that the inverted DDT into a suplex thing, or a piledriver variation?

Tcob was actually a dragon sleeper, but they used a triangle choke for the pic. Hells gate is an mma move called the gogoplata.

Saving Grace is the inverted implant DDT.

OrigDeadMan is correct.

The Delorean, of course, I can't drive 55.  Cheesy

Hell's Gate is the gogoplata submission hold.
Takin' Care Of Business is the standing Dragon Sleeper.

Saving Grace was the high inverted DDT.

These cards are fantastic. I actually want to play Big Poppa Pump now, and I've never cared about Scott Steiner.

One (I think) typo though, on Rhyno's card. In the ACE it says "where # the number of maneuvers..."

Got it.  Never knew the sleeper had a name.  I found Biker Taker pretty annoying and zoned out most his stuff.

Well, that's not ENTIRELY right. Your Superstar card is still a card for things that count the number of cards in the backstage (Doink, nWo Wolfpack), but the Ability on the card isn't a card effect, it's an Ability.

oh ok.  I was wondering as I think it is a shame that she only got 3 SS specific cards.  It sucks as she was the women's champion for over a year.  I hope she will get at least something in this set.

I have a question about RVDs card. If you are packing it in an actual RVD deck, would you still be able to pack Chair Shots in face decks with the blanking coming from the a Backstage Area card that is always revealed and would he lose his Superstar Status to become an Extremist?

To answer your questions in order: the Ability-blanking only kicks in when the game begins, not when you're packing cards, so Rob's Chair Shots aren't Heel for packing requirements, and no, no one loses their status as a Superstar when they become an Extremist, that only applies to printed Extremists since, as their cards denote, they are not Superstars. Being a Superstar and an Extremist are not mutually exclusive intrinsically.

EDIT:

Not just Head, but What Does Everybody Want? and What Does Everybody Need? get some play too!

I've never played an Al Snow deck without all three of those cards.  Hmm...maybe that is why Al Snow is one of my worst decks...especially my current Head + Headstrong deck.  Heat + Head = lots of cards removed from game.  (Neck Snaps and Afterburn are really nice when they go through though.)
