If this means that Striker is replacing Cole behind the announcer's desk on NXT, then that's one step toward replacing him on Raw. McMahonism Approved.

Or maybe Styles? They actually mentioned him last night on the show and Cole's comment was "he still works here?". Maybe they will set up some kind of feud between the two.

The announcers on NXT are allowed to talk off the cuff, and it seems WWE is letting all employees do that which is helping all promos and characters, so it was a one of comment.

Joey Styles talent contract ran up months ago.  Joey Styles on twitter fired back at Cole with an attack on his announcing abilities.  Styles is only a worker on the website now.

Cole is the go-to guy for good.  He is their successor to Jim Ross, we all need to deal with it.  Michael Cole and Josh Matthews are the only saving grace to THIS "season" of NXT.  It is trash.  They deserve to mock it for 40+ minutes.  They deserve to rip it apart.  Why?  Because the entire thing is horrible.  Michael Cole's random gong last night was easily the highlight of the episode.

Michael Cole and Josh Matthews are the only chance of saving the rest of the tv episodes of this "season"

You forgot Matt Striker.  He's done marvels at working with everyone, makes jokes when applicable, and keeping the crowd involved.  Smiley

But you're right, the NXT show is terrible.  They keep replaying the vignettes of the rookies, rehashing what just happened, and wasting time on silly side events that don't hold the interest.  (That joke-telling bit, ugh, the Detroit crowd hated it)  And introducing all of the pros and rookies EVERY week... its like having everyone's entrance without an ensuing match... ridiculous time-waster.  Then the PPV hype, the plug for that stupid Cena movie, the recap of Raw/SD, all eating up time and doing nothing to promote NXT. 

That's why I don't watch NXT live, since I can fast-forward through it in like 20 minutes, haha.

Keep in mind that Michael Cole is not the first poor announcer we have seen. I think everybody kind of forgot how piss poor Vince McMahon was in that role.
