trrecall that Backstage Politics was a huge deal when it first came out.  I recall RTC being THE deck at the time after the world championships, and this deck immediately crippled them whenever they ran into it.

However, did it ever see much play after that?  I know it's useful for A-Train to have a trio of 0F strike/grapple maneuvers in his backlash, but outside of that, does it even see play in classic?  Did it really ever see play after the initial shock of it as a magic bullet vs RTC?

It was a staple in hand size shrinking pre match decks, and especially useful in Redemption decks.

Redemption is always amazing in Piper (during your opponent's turn, it's blank, so you never get it back!)

Someone saw my Raw Deal battle bag at GenCon and asked if I used to play. I said, "A little."

Don't know how I never caught that.  That is pretty amazing, and makes Piper even uglier.
