Just wondering what folks think of returning to the classic red and white TCO theme.

It was weird seeing on my phone at first, but on the laptop it feels like home.

Funny... On my 22" Flatscreen display at work it's super bright, and I was wondering if it was too much.

At home on my laptop... yeah... it feels like home.

I guess I joined TCO after the change. I like the red and white better.

It's a bit "in my face" to be honest. I prefer the old version, as it was a tad more subtle, and to be honest looked better. This is just a bit jarring.

Maybe I am just not paying attention, but I failed to notice much of a change. No real preference on my part, but Black on Red is hard to read in some spots.

For those who would prefer to use the blue format, you can switch to is by going to your profile, choosing look and layout, and then change the current theme. SMF Default Theme - Core is the other skin.

This link *should* take you to where you can select your theme directly:

What's supposed to have changed? I still see the forum as I did the other day when I logged in, the only difference is the two images on the top of the page.

EDIT: Nevermind, heh. As soon I my page refreshed after I posted this, everything changed. I love it, I feel at home again,

Can we get an option for a "blacker than black" on black theme for those who dislike the OG TCO style?

I'm digging the look...again.

I'll put it on the list of stuff todo.
This theme took about 4-5 to get to the state you currently see it in.

Doing something dark from scratch will be... different... not really sure where I'm going to go with it.

I apologize 'goth, I was just kidding, mainly going for a "Spinal Tap" style black text on black background to punish those who don't like the original colors of the site. I hope you aren't actually making it, but then again...it could be entertaining for a while to know that some people have a blacker than black site.

No need to apologize. 2 part answer:

1) There is certainly some user demand for a black / dark theme. Some folks just like it that way, I've had themes like that in the past, and intend to have those themes again for them as well.

2) I was totally thinking of making a blacker then black theme. I was thinking of calling it Dethklok.

Oh ya! That was my first change from the Red/White. Regardless, both are much better than what we've had in the past year or so. Great work Goth!

That's not a function of the theme. The side bar should be back soon.
