Supershow / 2017 Supershow World Tag Team Championship Address
« on: February 17, 2017, 12:18:51 PM »
Somewhere on Long Island a Press Conference was called by John "MrPeoplesTeam" Polverino, one half of The 2016 Supershow Tag Team Champions; Can I Get Back to You on That?

Mr. Polverino makes his way up to the podium, both Titles on each shoulder, partner Danny Q nowhere in sight...

Mr. Polverino:

"Hello, thank you all for coming here today to Long Island New York. Home of the 2016 World Tag Team Champions, Can I Get Back to You on That?. Before we get into business, we must address the elephant in the room. The fact that I am up here alone without my partner.
Well the truth is there is NO MORE partner. Sometimes you need to take the money and run. Sometimes when you know you are great, but can be even greater than that? Yeah thats how I feel. Don't get me wrong, Danny Q was great. But that's because I MADE HIM GREAT. I taught him the way, It was MY mind that put together the winning formula of the Dynamic Duo we brought to the table, it was my Arm Grinder that Pinned the former 2015 Tag Team Champs round 1, it was the SAME Arm Grinder that sent New Zeland home in Top 4, AND it was MY PRICE POINT that got the ONE TWO THREE to bring the gold back to New York! At the end of the day I have all the love in the world for Danny Q, but sometimes the best needs to go there separate ways and I have no time to be held back! I am the best Supershow Tag Team player in the world, going to become THE best Supershow player in the world come the Championships, But I don't need the likes of Q to take home the back to back titles!

That being said, The Champ is looking for a partner come August"

I am looking for someone who not only feels they are ready for the big show, not only feels they are good, no great, no AMAZING at this game we all love, but has the drive and NEED for Gold like I do. I want someone who wants to team up with THE BEST. The 2 Time Raw Deal World Champion, CURRENT Supershow Tag Team Champion! It is clear I know the way to win, so who out there wants in on greatness?

Over the next few months I will be taking any applications for the position, If you are interested in teaming up, winning, and dominating, Please Shoot me a message here on TCO or on Facebook at "John Polverino"

I am only interested in someone who is READY TO WIN. Someone who knows the game and I don't need to teach them the meta, not someone who will lack communication all the way till the day and tell me "Hey I wanna play Snakepit cause I like him and I won a game or two with him, who you running?"

NO

This will be organized, well thought up and STRATEGIZED. I strategized last year and now I have some shiny gold sitting on my shoulders. I want someone ready and willing to work on countless combinations till we find one that will DOMINATE the entire field!

Please do not post applications PUBLICLY. This is a private matter, everyone will see the end result come August....when it's too late.

WHO WANTS TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR AT GEN CON?!?!?

Lackey Tournaments / T.C.O L.O.I TOURNAMENT PROTOCOL
« on: February 03, 2017, 10:44:53 AM »
We will follow a Round by pairings and top cut format with each round and cut depending on the amount of participants. Top cut usually consists of 4,6, or 8 people

- Sign ups for events typically last 2 weeks, give or take.

- Once sign ups are open, depending the format and rules, Participants will send their Superstar selection to me through a PM, and then once their decks are finalized, send a deck list to the 3rd Party TCO member not participating in the event designated to take the Deck Lists from each player. This MUST be done before signups are CLOSED otherwise the participant cannot play in the event. Once you sign up for the event there is no rush to submit the Superstar and/or deck list. You can submit your Superstar early and then submit your list later on before signups are closed.

- Given past experiences, there will be no double Superstars in an event. We will follow a first come first serve basis. If an event of someone submitting a Superstar already chosen for the event I will notify that player that they must select a different Superstar.

- Each participants decks must remain the same over the course of the event, like a regular in person tournament would be. The deck list you submit in must be the deck you play throughout the event.

- If you have any questions regarding deck list submissions please visit the T.C.O L.O.I DECK LIST SUBMISSION PROTOCOL page.
http://www.teamcanadaonline.net/index.php/topic,17097.0.html

- Each round will last a week from the announcement of that rounds pairings. Please contact your opponent to set up a scheduled time that you both can get your game in. If in the event a game does not complete by the time each round expires then the result the round will be a double loss unless one participant has clearly stated that they have been attempting multiple times to get the game done, but their opponent has been M.I.A. If in the case that the round is going to end and you and your opponent know the game will not be played then you may decide amongst each other who will get the victory, and how.

- Once the round concludes, or once all the games are finished, the next round will be announced shortly after.

- Please do not forget to Save your games. I would save after each turn if you have to. Lackey drops all the time and we don't want a rage quit and then blaming it on lackey. If you have a saved game then you shouldnt have any issues.

- PLEASE do your best to get your games done, if you lose and feel you do not have a shot in the future, please do not just stop paying attention. It doesn't matter to me if you are 0-4, every game is on the same playing field and I will wait the entire week for you to play your game, I do not play favorites, so if you feel you do not want to play anymore please message me and let me know ASAP.

Lackey Tournaments / T.C.O L.O.I DECK LIST SUBMISSION PROTOCOL
« on: February 03, 2017, 10:44:50 AM »
Each player that is participating in an event must submit a deck list after they have submitted in their Superstar selection

Deck List Submission Protocol

- When the tournament is announced, a bystander that will not be part of the event will be named. Deck lists will be PM'd to that person with the subject title: LACKEY TOURNAMENT DECK LIST. This way it won't get lost in the shuffle with there other PM's.

- Like the Superstar submission to me, the Deck List will be required to be sent to that person by the time sign ups are over. You 100% can submit your superstar early and then submit your deck list at a later date as long as it is prior to deadline.

- If in the case you submit your deck list prior to deadline and realize a mistake or you would like to change something you can. You must PM that person a revised deck list with the Subject title: REVISED LACKEY TOURNAMENT DECK LIST

- Once deadline is passed you cannot modify your deck unless you are caught with an illegal card(s) in your arsenal (example: two Don't be a Douchebag) In the case the player will take an auto loss AND then adjust accordingly and send a REVISED LACKEY TOURNAMENT DECK LIST POST DQ to the designated person. Hopefully with this system the person receiving the deck lists can catch something like this prior to a DQ, but I don't expect the person to read through all deck lists for the event. It is encouraged of course but this person would be doing me a favor holding on to these lists, I don't ask them to do any more work then that.

- I will be in constant contact with this person regarding List Submissions, they will let me know when a participant has submitted their Deck List so I can mark them down as being good to go, the last thing we need is a communication error and someone is dropped from the event because they submitted their Superstar to me but forgot to submit their Deck List to them.

- Additionally, like a normal tournament event when a player calls "Deck check!" on another player, the person will notify me when a player has inquired the legitimacy of another players deck. If this happens by the same person on a consistent basis then I may or may not need to ask the participant to leave the event and/or not participate in the future. This is a fun tournament for everyone and is not serious enough that a player will need to ask "Does this guy really pack this card?" frequently. Only ask the designated person if you TRULY feel it's necessary and that there is some sort of shenanigans going on. Like I said the person is doing us a favor, If they aren't playing in the event then I'd like them to have to do as little work as they actually need to do.

Steve Resks very own home turf legendary Realms holds a weekly tournament every Tuesday and sadly I don't often, really ever, get to attend due to R.L.I, but tonight there was a very special occasion; ANTHONY GANGONE HIMSELF was in attendance! Showing support in the game, signing some goodies and even participating in the event! Its not every day the former House Of Glory Heavyweight Champion comes to town, so John P had to make a rare appearance for his best friend.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rIOnG2o7Q0

Everyone who came to the event got there very own Gangone Set autographed by the man himself! I even had a blank Spectacle card that he happily signed for me as well. Extremely cool indeed

I do wish I could play more often then I do, I miss doing this on a weekly basis, but stuff happens. It does have some cool feel to it going into a place where the name "John P" actually isn't known all that well, so it made for a pretty fun tournament! On top of that I was honorary GM for the night, so I had some fun in the meantime!

Legendary had 12 players tonight

John "MrPeoplesTeam" Polverino- Johnny Gargano
Chad 'Maadenmann" Gropack- The Gold Standard
Dosmo Thompson- Master Dosmodious
Chris Pagillo- AJ Styles
John Cardello- Ms. Terious
Steve Wagner- Night Terror
Steve Resk- Rahz El Dazzle
Jordan Hershkowitz- Dayna Might
Pat Mangels- El Blanco Diablo
James Canty- Ricochet
Jason- The Magnificent Mr. Rey
Anthony Gangone- HIMSELF!

Round 1 (Straight 2 out of 3, no ENTRANCE cards allowed)

VS. Dosmo Thompson (Master Dosmodious)

The debute of himself, Dosmo obviously was playing Master Dosmodious for the event, and I had no idea who or what he did. Turns out his ability is SICK, almost guaranteeing a Blatant Chokehold somewhere down the line, His finishes however are less than par, but with an ability like that you really can't overpower him too much.
Rolls were not in the favor or the Master, I believe I took both games after a Slingshot with 1 Crowd meter each  and Johnny Gargano takes this series 2-0 and advancing to 1-0 for the event!

Round 2 (Game 3, each participant receives a Random competitor, They gain that players Gimmick AS WELL as having the option to REPLACE their "5 Stat" with whatever The chosen Competitor is!)
This round turned out pretty cool, only 2 sets of games went to a 3rd game, Seeing 3 different competitors switch their 5's with 10s, so format successful!

VS. Steve Wagner (Night Terror)

Night Terror is the Anti-Christ of all that is Supershow, the single reason a card like Blatant Chokehold is even attempted to be used. Like Master Dosmodious, with a gimmick like that you really can't have INSANE support for finishes, but he still has a finish that says It can't be stopped with a Bump, so he still can give some heart attacks!
Both games were extremely close, with the 1st game coming down to an unstoppable Bump In The Night, 2 Crowd Meter rolling an 8 going to a 10. I somehow Rolled a 10 on the 3rd breakout, surviving the game. Later hitting an unstoppable Full Mounted Choke myself with a +3 Crowd Meter.
The 2nd game came down to pure luck, I came down to 2 cards in hand and the crowd meter at +1 after a Thankful botched 7 Roll on a Sleep walk from Night Terror. I hit Full Mounted Choke with the +1 Meter, literally said the words "For the Love of God, Please Roll a Grapple"
And I did just that, 10 +1 = GG
I win this Series 2-0 and advance to 2-0 overall

Round 3 (Each 1-1 matches are ONE game elimination, with the 3 remaining 2-0 Players playing in a Triple Threat for the right to  position in the FINALS!)

VS. Chad Gropack (Gold Standard) VS. John Cardello (Ms.Terious) First fall to a finish

Triple Threats always equal high anxiety, different things happening at different time, double teams coming at the worst moments. The crowd meter got to 3 in this one. With Gargano hitting The Hurts Donut on Ms.Terious and Gold Standard saying "I don't want to bury my 9 card hand, I will leave this one to chance"
The Chance rolled me a TECHNIQUE, which gave me an 8 +3 which equaled 11. Only way out was to tag team a roll on the 3 count, which to my luck didn't happen
Gargano takes the pin and advances to the Finals with a 3-0 Record

Now i say finals because at this moment Chad Gropack holding a 2-1 record had to leave, where there would have been one 3-0 and five 2-1's now became one 3-0 and four 2-1's. Which made things a lot easier, if he had stayed I would have needed Steve Resks help sorting out all that Chaos. So that being said

Round 4 (Fatal 4 way Elimination between the remaining four 2-1's)

Steve Wagner (Night Terror) VS. John Cardello (Ms.Terious) VS. Jordan Hershkowitz (Dayna Might) VS. Chris Pagillo (AJ Styles)

Having the BYE I sat back and watched this chaos unfold as it was hands down the most entertaining game to watch of the night. Current Legendary Heavyweight Champion Jordan H using Dayna Might gets eliminated first, followed by Chris P using AJ Styles. Finally, with a Crowd meter FIVE, (yes, I said 5), Steve W using Night Terror Bumped himself into the Night, or should I say into the finals, eliminating Ms. Terious and setting up a sweet early tournament rematch!

**While the 4 way was going on, after Chris P was eliminated, we decided to have a friendly (not so friendly) exhibition game in the mean time. A history has it, Chris is a very skilled Supershow player, but, has yet to defeat John P in a single game (I believe I was up 5-0 or something, all time, on him) and I was kidding around with him saying "Man you didn't make the finals so i guess we can't see if you can't actually beat me" so we decided to play one out**

OH MAN this game was funny. At the end of a bunch of shenanigans, Gargano won SO MANY turn rolls, between his ability, turn rolls and flip cards. Gargano had 0 cards in deck and AJ Styles (Yes, the one that has two 10's for his turn roll) had 4 cards in hand and 1 card in his discard.
The Crowd meter was at 2 thanks to 3 different Gargano finishes, the ending being a silly 9 to beat, and AJ not rolling it. So I guess this makes it 6-0 Chris, till next time  ;D

THE FINALS: GANGONE RULEZ! (In honor of Anthony being there tonight, The finals will be played Anthony Gangone being the special guest Referee, which means his ability is in play for both competitors)

Due to Supershow Double Elimination rules, my 3-0 was an advantage, Though the finals was 1 fall to a finish, technically If Night Terror would beat me in the game, we would play again. So I would have to loose twice, and he only once. Cool advantage right? Well, Wrong

VS. Steve Wagner (Night Terror)

Game 1 was scary, Gargano didn't take really any turn rolls, and any one of them he did get he got stopped. The game ended FAST after a Sleepwalk Rolled an agility (10) and I failed to match. We are going to sudden Death.

The true finals game was a lot more intense, We both Stopped each others finishes before we reluctantly bumped and Steve won the roll and hitting an unstoppable Bump in the Night. Getting a 9 on the finish roll but luckily Gargano kicked out of this one. With Crowd Meter one I hit the Slingshot, getting my own 9 for my finish roll, adding to a 10, Night Terror Kicks out on 1!
Both players then STOP another finish a piece, but Gargano having a sweet ability, I'm able to hit Flying cutter, Adding cards to my hand and picking up the Full Mounted Choke. With Body Scissors already in play, I nail an unstoppable Body Scissors, rolling TECHNIQUE, 8 + 2 Crowd = a 10. Still beatable.
This time though, Night Terror goes down.

Your winner of tonights Tournament, John "MrPeoplesTeam" Polverino using Johnny Gargano!!!

First place took home $35 Store credit which I greedily used on some SuperShow Singles that I needed. Second place got $25 and prize support was given out throughout the participants.

Overall a very successful event for a John P who sadly only gets to play once in a blue moon, amazing time guys!

.......
.............
..................
................... ...

................... ..............

BUT WAIT!!!

THIS IS SUPERSHOW!!! AND EACH STORE HAS A CHAMPION AWAITING THE WINNER OF THE WEEKLY TOURNAMENTS!!!

The Challenger John Polverino (Johnny Gargano) VS. Legendary Realms Heavyweight Champion Jordan Hershkowitz (Dayna Might)

His nice little belt allows him to choose to add +2 to either Strike, Grapple or Submission before the game begins

......  >:(

He chooses to add +2 to GRAPPLE giving him an 11 stat

Gargano Strikes first with the Hurts Donut, Rolling a mislay AGILITY which is a 7, The Champ quickly kicks out and we go to Crowd Meter 1.

Dayna Might proceeds to then Beat my Turn Roll Grapple (10) with her now 11 GRAPPLE skill  :-\ Sigh

Dayna Might plays Smacked with a Shovel, Ultra Tech when defending a title, I easily could have stopped it but Stopping it causes a DQ and him keeping the belt, so basically its a free Finish thats left up to chance. His Finish roll is an 8 so Chance seems pretty high for Johnny Gargano

Wrong

I fail to roll a single 8 and this ones over, Botchamania runs wild on this one!

A very Anti-Climatic finish to a Championship Match, which might just be for the best because if I had won it I would have flat out CM Punk'd that title and left the company considering how unoften I actually can attend, So Jordan being a regular there, its best he kept it. Apparently he has some success being the champion, as I believe they said he held that title for almost 3 months now, pretty impressive baring the fact that the belt gives such a big advantage to the skill points!

So overall a still successful day taking home the challenging tournament victory and the awesome prize support that came with it. It was amazing meeting Anthony Gangone and having him sign some stuff!

Till next time, Stay tuned as a very important Announcement is to be made in the next upcoming days!

Please keep in constant contact with your opponent. If your putting a vilient effort into getting the game done and your opponent isn't even answering messages. Then something can be done. There is no reason both of you deserve a double count out if one of you is trying, but remember if both of you do not get the game in, and niether of you cared enough to get it going, it will be an auto loss AND you will be disqualified

PLEASE do your best to get your games done, if you loose and feel you do not have a shot in the future, please do not just stop paying attention. It doesn't matter to me if you are 0-4, every game is on the same playing field and I will wait the entire week for you to play your game, I do not play favorites, so if you feel you do not want to play anymore please message me and let me know ASAP!!!

IF YOU DON"T THINK YOU CAN HONESTLY STAY COMMITTED FOR THE LONG HAUL, PLEASE SAVE US THE TROUBLE AND DON"T SIGN UP  >:(  THOUGH IM NOT SURE WHY YOU WOULDNT WANT TO GIVEN HOW INSANELY AMAZING THE PRIZE SUPPORT IS GOING TO BE!

Lackey Tournaments / T.C.O LACKEY TOURNAMENT EVENT! (7.0) CLOSED!!!
« on: August 27, 2016, 06:17:43 AM »
WHO'S READY TO GO TO WAR?

For the 7th Installment of Team Canada's Lackey Open Invitational Tournament we will be going back to the Roots of the card game in a true smash mouth Fashion! We have had a couple crazy Ideas in the past and it led to some insane outcomes but this time around I want to see what you all got!
This event will feature some of the best players around today and has no limits on who you are, where your from, or what you will be playing. All that matters is that you have the lackey program and your down to play some games against some players you have never played before, or even wished you could play against, but just couldn't make the trip out!

THE DETAILS

The Format Will Be Virtual Classic

THE TWIST....

EACH GAME WILL BE PLAYED WITH OLD SCHOOL WRESTLING MATCH (tb) RULES

So many times in the past people have complained about rounds being so long and games taking forever, this and that, with this Stipulation it will put any Shenanigans on the clock! Possibly encouraging everyone to potentially bring in a smash mouth ready to fight deck to the table! Who knows maybe this tournament will run faster than normal!

**In Addition to the Stipulation** I am making a ruling that there will be NO BURN when using Showtime. You may use Showtime of course, just there will be no burn in response to ending your opponents turn.

** This DOES NOT count as a Pre-match in your Ring Area. It is counted as smack dab in the middle and if any player is required to burn it will be a total of 6 cards **

*** No player may PACK the card titled Old School Wrestling Match TB in this tournament to prevent mass burn outside of the stipulation of the tournament itself ***

FOR CLARIFICATION:

Old School Wrestling Match - Throwback
Pre-match Stipulation
If any player's turn ends without attempting to play a maneuver, he overturns 6 cards.  Turns cannot be skipped, and non-Superstar-specific cards cannot prevent an opponent from playing maneuvers.
When Back to Basics is in your Ring, your Pre-match Capacity is +3, and your opponent cannot play I'm Gonna Break You.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent     RMS logo

THE REST OF THE USUAL STUFF
We will follow a Round by pairings and top cut format with each round and cut depending on the amount of participants!

Over the coarse of the next week i will be taking sign ups. Please Post on this page if your in and then Shoot me a message with the superstar you are playing. Once everyone has given me their superstar selections and sign ups close I will announce everyones decks along with the first round pairings. Please Sign up ASAP but there is no rush on submitting your Choices. Just make sure they are in before the deadline. Bring your A game and play each opponent every week!

**** Everyone must follow the honor system with their decks. Yes this might be a computerized event that runs over weeks but it is still a tournament.  Once you play your first game lock that deck, there are no metagaming each opponent and swapping cards. Anyone caught doing this is subject for review and easy DQ and banishment from any further events thrown. These are fun events people, don't be THAT GUY ****

*** ADDITIONAL deck building notes: Please double check your decks ahead of tournament start to confirm they are Legal. We don't want to have to DQ due to deck construction but we will. Please read over everything. If you see your packing 2 of a unique card, like say Don't be a Douchebag, please make sure you fix this accordingly!  ;D ***

This event will run over the next few weeks (1 week per round) to give each matchup enough time to happen, contact your opponent and set up a good date to get your round done and then report back to me with results, if the match does not happen within the week span then (depending on how active 1 player is, and saying "listen I'm trying to play my game repeatedly but i have received no answer 100 times) Then it will result in a double count out loss, but we will get there when that time comes. The sooner each round finishes the faster we can start the next one. Depending on the number of participants we will cut to a Top 4, 6, or 8

I greatly encourage ANYONE who loves playing Raw Deal to download lackey, give it a try and join the fun, this event will be a great way to test your skills and learn a lot about the game we all know and love! I hope many of the great players of TCO, Even Creed and Daeva, consider joining the battle and become....

The NEWWWWW TCO L.O.I CHAMPION!!!!!

This Honor will be unveiled after the conclusion of the event going on at the current moment!

*** Notes for each game and round being played. Please people do not forget to Save your games. I would save after each turn if you have to. Lackey drops all the time and we don't want a rage quit and then blaming it on lackey. If you have a saved game then you shouldnt have any issues.

IF YOU DON"T THINK YOU CAN HONESTLY STAY COMMITTED FOR THE LONG HAUL, PLEASE SAVE US THE TROUBLE AND DON"T SIGN UP  >:(
All are seriously welcome, the last event had an AMAZING turnout, we just want the best play experience for everybody! ****

11
This past weekend marked my return to the great state of Indianapolis after a 3 year Hiatus when I had last captured the gold, and coming into this past Saturday I was feeling every emotion but confidence, I did not know what to expect and I was surprised on every single turn I played. But that’s just my Raw Deal experience.

What’s more than that was the absolute amazing experience I had with my Raw Deal and Super Show Family. I cannot express enough how fun and exciting my 2 days were because of all of you.  Our family might be small but there is so much love within it that I cannot ask for a better group of friends, The friends I’ve had for years and the new friends I made each day. I know there was a few big names that were unable to make the trip to the championships this year, I hope to see all of you in the years to come though. So many acknowledgments need to be made by me as if it wasn’t for these guys my Gen Con experience would not be the same.

Scott Hulett: I cannot express enough how glad I was for us to finally meet in person brother, after years of strategizing, Talking each and every day, all the way to the point where our girls even started to talk to each other. I am glad that I was finally able to play my friend in a Raw Deal game, and nothing fits better then it being the single greatest game of Raw Deal I ever had the pleasure to be a part of, I just wish it didn’t have the circumstances that it did and for that I’m sorry my friend. I loved finally meeting you, Jessica and your entire Crew. I know we will remain brothers long after this, Thank you for giving me such great memories.

Steve Resk: One of my best friends for so many years, This year my gratitude is not Raw Deal based, As I was sad to see you were unable to play this year, I want to thank you for such an amazing experience with everything that is Super Show, The Super Show family is INSANE and you have grown your business into such a Success, You and everyone else truly were amazing all weekend long. A big shout out to my friend John Calace as well!

Drew:  It has been 3 years since we have last seen each other and 3 years since we have played Raw Deal against each other and after this weekend I am glad we are still as good as were back then, You have been nothing but kind to me and supportive with everything and I thank you for that. I hope after this weekend you and I will continue on to be close. I know you and I can be very competitive but after feeling like we didn’t miss a beat after 3 years, it truly goes beyond that. Thank you for everything Drew. You’re always going to be my friend.

Tony Vela: Man what can I say, if it wasn’t for you Raw Deal wouldn’t be here and we wouldn’t be having a World Championship. You are keeping this game alive and you sponsored the whole weekend. Its also a perk that everyone was finally able to meet you! You’re a cool guy and I had a pleasure hanging with you for a few hours. Thank you for everything. You do for the game we all love.

The Jersey crew (Brian, Scott and Steve): Good thing we traveled Hundreds of miles away to play each other all again right? Haha. I’m so glad more of you were able to make this trip up, it was truly a blast and Brian our finals series was one of the best I have played in a long time. I can’t wait to see you guys again soon!

With that being Said, Lets get onto the report with Deck lists to Follow.

I brought to the table The Genetic Jackhammer for Classic, Michael Cole for All Axxess and Traditionally Matt Striker for Revolution

Round 1 (Classic) Vs. Chris Morgan (Goldust)

Chris I enjoyed meeting you and your Brother, You guys were a blast and played really good Raw Deal and Super Show. His deck is chain which Jackhammer is OK with due to always having a great deal of cards in his hand. I am able to bust through a lot of Weapons and this game was over fairly quickly. Good game man.

1-0

Round 2 (Revolution) Vs. Brian P BigPimpin (Rated RKO)

Whoa whoa whoa, Someone forgot something with these guys, cause I never seen them work so Good. I open up with no second Solutions, He has an Outmaneuver and a Second Solution, Great. The flat out truth is, Unless you can get 2 moves a turn on these guys, you’re not getting fortitude, all while they are spamming the Edge clipper, and all the other Trademark Goodies they own. I was able to Arm Wringer Antic away Talk is Cheap, so I spam alittle Never Give up with Look under the ring and more Arm Wringers, In hopes that I hit The newly powered up Striker Killer, You hit like a girl, I use Arm Wringer a total of 5 times in fact, on 7 cards. I do not hit it. This game wasn’t really close. GG Brian, See you later on.

1-1

Round 3 (All Axxess) Vs. Steven Almos (BFM)

I was paired down in this round, someone had to be, which doesn’t end well with Stregth of schedule, Not to mention if Brian P actually lost this round, we potentially would have cut after 3 rounds and my day would have been over, Luckily for me my boy pulls through and we end up having a 4th round. But back to the game.
GREAT. Big Freak’n Machine. I cannot stress enough how broken this guy is. He brings a tear to my eye and Tech Bottles out a precision kick but Cole goes first, I am able to ability and force Jack Swagger through, ACE The Michael Cole Challenge and get 7 fort on the board with Cole-Cocked as well as a Shoot action. Steven goes and hits the Precision Kick. I spin D Bag on the overturn. I go and able to do some more damage, 20 fortitude to be exact. Steven goes and attempts Shoot Russian Leg sweep under ability Which if I wasn’t able to Introduce Brain to Mouth, This would be very bad news. BUT HEY, He still gets another Auto 5 fort from May 19 and now hes at 11. BFM at 11 is not good but I’m lucky enough to have an ability that cuts ties with any of these issues. My red wave is too much and I take this one.  Great game Steven, Glad we could finally meet!

2-1

Round 4 (Classic) Vs. Scott Hulett RatedSRH (Showstopper)

Scott and I had become great friends over the last two years. One thing we never had the pleasure of doing was playing a game of Raw Deal in person. It so happens that our first game ever was the biggest of each other’s Raw Deal Career, Winner moves on, Looser goes home. What I didn’t expect was to play the greatest single game of Raw Deal I have ever had the chance of being a part of.

Showstoppers Pre-match is Old school wrestling match with Wrestlemania. I played the WWE World Heavyweight title so I sat with an 9 SSV, Scott had an 8, so we were both getting the max out of that Mania. I went first and got Turn the tide off of Legend lives on’s 2 fortitude into Chain Lashing. Scott burns restricted use and takes his turn.  I let Quick snap/Flawless Go and end his turn on the overturn, Take my 2nd turn with another Turn the tide, Hide the 10th to get Lashing back in my deck and search for it with the extreme Chairman, Lashing connects. After this we go back and forth, Showstopper throwing Chains and Jackhammer throwing Weapons, Eventually the Kitchen Sinks start rolling. The Showstopper has insane ability to now throw Shoot Lock-ups as if they are heat which against anyone BUT Jackhammer, would Cry. Jackhammers ability allows me to blank Lock-up for a few turns but eventually it sticks as Mania is finally popped, the 3rd Weapon of a kitchen Sink attack is still floating for after Mania so I was able to chip off some of the cards shuffled back in. With Dem Dam Dudleyz in my ring I’m able to effectively use Sink again even in my ring area, But Showstopper has insane recovery. I have still been able to avoid 30 fortitude so Sweet Chin Music isn’t a factor yet. My deck is still pretty high so I’m sitting on I’m Vincent Kennedy McMahon Damnit into Move of Doom. Scott now attempts Atomic Driver which if it hits will give him 30 fortitude for the Jesus Kick, So I stop it for a turn. Just as the judge calls One Minute left in the game, Scott Uses the Ace on Sustain Damage on his turn which allows me to Use my McMahon-us Interupt us, With the overturn 10 from that and the 3 Damage from King, This game ends with 35 seconds left and the greatest Raw Deal game I have ever played has ended. Scott thank you so much for being the friend that you are. I hope we have more games like this in the future.

3-1

We cut to the Top 4 and I’m holding the #2 Seed and It’s Me Vs. BuddhaDudley in Top. I choose Classic for our first game.

Top 4 Game 1 (Classic) Vs. Drew (Nikki Bella TB)

Feminine Wiles has disappeared into thin air this round but we play as if its there anyway, Drew blanks my Extreme Chairman and chooses to Burn 1 a turn for Kis my @$$ club. I pop 1 Ladies with First Family and Drew drops Judo Takedown. Itake my first turn.
Drew Burns Carlito on the overturn for Kiss my @$$. Drew shall start the game. Drew drops Nikki’s Drop Kick and now rides 10 fortitude as I take my 2nd turn
The game goes back and forth for a long while, Drew was able to actually reverse Kiss my’s burn 5 total times this game. I timely reversed Drew’s final 2 ladies with Interupt-us and Dttah so I kept Recursion as minimal as I could. The Grapefruit protection here was huge because it allowed my Pipe Shot to work around his 3x Skirt the issues. Eventually the Kitchen Sink game was too much and Jackhammer Takes game 1.

Drew has choice for the 2nd game. I had mentioned to him I’d love to see what Charlotte does so Drew was kind enough to show me for our 2nd game.

Game 2 (All Axxess) Vs. Drew (Charlotte)

Before the game started I had to scramble around to find a new Yellow sleeve as one of my sleeves were ripped as per Mr. Buddhas request. In return for this, given a misplay on Pre-match in an attempt to avoid the Michael Cole SSV increase, Drew was unable to play his Women’s belt because he ran out of slots. In Return to this when Michael Cole used his ability to call Transition Hold, Drew kindly did not discard, as Michael Cole had not said the word “Revolution” Well it seems the serious Raw Deal chess Match was strong in this one lol. Drew hits Transition hold and plays his unstoppable Mid-Match card which would allow him to Grab Ric Flairs Revo Chop that he can spam each turn. I’m sitting on 2 Get the F outs and an Off your mark so I was able to hold it down for a few turns, Michael Cole uses his ability and pin points what he needs and this one ends. Thank you for being the guy you are Drew, a true friend in our sport and I will always appreciate that.

THE FINALS

Brian chooses Revolution for our first game. A great move on his part from our earlier game in the rounds.

Game 1 (Revolution) Vs. Brian P (Rated RKO)

If you want to re-read the earlier games post on this matchup you can because its pretty much the same, but change out the Green wave- Arm wringer failure and put in a momentum  Elijah Express which hit Telegraphed on One. So many Trademarks later and this was more of the same. Matt Striker officially can Rest in Peace in my eyes, He officially does Hit Like A Girl.

Game 2 (Classic) Vs. Brain (The Texas Rattlesnake)

This game was pretty good going back and forth, another Wrestlemania game with a Huge SSV on both ends. For most part of the game though thanks to Old School Psych and One Night Stand, it was Rattlesnake without the hand and Jackhammer with the massive one. Eventually I was able to widdle the deck down to the point of Countout as Wrestlemania would have been very bad news for me. We are now all tied up going to game 3 in the finals for the World Championship

Game 3 (All Axxess) Vs. Brian (Ryback)

Man this tech is nice. With the 2 fortitude from BASH and the -4 (-5) fortitude from Ryback Rules, He is able to throw basically any Mean he wants turn 1 with No Mercy out, twice a turn! Michael Cole burns quite a lot but hasn’t given Ryback the fortitude he needs just yet, and Cole is able to get some key cards through, Eventually Cole is able to get out the “God Card” He needs, a card that says my opponent needs to discard 2 cards in order to play a unique Superstar Specific. Ryback having no hand really needed his cards from Ringside. Cole also having 2 good Superstar specific Backlash reversals really gave Ryback some fits when it came to the “Actions can only be reversed by Superstar specifics” part.
This game went back and forth for a long time, Multiple times Ryback thought he had it in the bag, then a momentum swing and then Cole thought, and then back the other way. It wasn’t finally when Brian had made a crucial misplay playing the Big guy move from Ringside pile that allowed him to draw 1. Shoot counter ends this one and that’s the ball game. Thank you for such an amazing series Brian, I cant wait to play with you guys soon

Your winner, and NEW 2016 Raw Deal World Champion: John “MrPeoplesTeam” Polverino

Deck lists are below and I encourage everyone to share their tournament experience and deck lists as well if they wish!

Till next year. Thank you everybody!

The Time has come where this years World Championships are only 3 weeks away!

So the question presents itself, Who will be the one to take it home this year?

*** Will it be a THREE-TIME Raw Deal World Champion?

*** Will it be a new Two-Time Raw Deal World Champion?

*** Will someone who has gotten so close FINALLY take that single step to write his name in history?

*** Will it be someone who's hard work finally pays off?

Will it be YOU?!?

Please give us a vote on who you feel will take the crown home this year. My list consists of known names from the past, I would have course love to list everyones name who's attending but I do not know, so if you feel a person not on the list is ready to take home the crown. Please vote for that option, and then let us know WHO!!!

*I WILL LIKE TO MAKE A NOTE* According to sources, Your 2014 Raw Deal World Champion Mitch!, 2-time Runner Up Softcore Legend, and most notably, your CURRENT Raw Deal World Champion; Maaddenman Chad Gropack, will NOT be attending this year. So I did not include their names on the ballot. If you BELIEVE this is just a work, and one of those names will actually be making an appearance and surprising everybody, please vote accordingly to that vote and tell us WHY!  ;D

If your bold enough, after you vote, tell us who and why. If not, keep it hidden and let Gen Con explain it for itself!

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!

WWE Undisputed Heavyweight Title Belt - Throwback
Cannot be played when First Of All or a Title Belt with 'Heavyweight' or 'WWE' in the title is in your Ring, nor can you play those cards.  Your Superstar-specific cards do not take up a Pre-match or Mid-match slot in your Ring, and your opponent cannot play I'm Gonna Break You.
Superstar Value +4     Universally Unique

P-11—FOIL
<WWE logo> Intercontinental Title Belt
Pre-match: Object
When played, draw 2 cards: Superstar Value: +1
When played, instead draw 1 card: Superstar Value: +2
Universally Unique

All Revolution belts have the WWE Logo next to the name, when you search them on lackey it says like "<R> WWE Cruiserwieght title"

So my question, does that little WWE Logo Count towards the "WWE" part of the Undisputed belt?

Rules Forum / Whats your final Superstar Value?
« on: June 13, 2016, 11:05:29 AM »
If I play Product Endorsements on my opponent, and then he drops The WWE World Heavyweight title, Canceling my Reduction and giving him back +4 on top of it.

If I then resolve my Pre-match and get rid of his title, What will be his final SSV? My guess is whatever his original SSV is getting rid of the -4 with the title belt, But I want to just clarify

« on: May 03, 2016, 09:07:11 AM »
If I am packing a corner (Say Randy Orton) and I do not play The corner, But I do play Frankie Ho, Thus Slapping the RMS logo on the RKO, Can I now play the RKO as a reversal (Not a move obviously) without needing the corner because you cannot add the "Requirement" to an RMS card?

Lackey Tournaments / T.C.O RANDOM GENERATOR TOURNAMENT EVENT! (6.0)
« on: April 15, 2016, 04:08:37 PM »
WHO'S GOT THE HEART OF THE CARDS?

For the 6th Installment of Team Canada's Lackey Open Invitational Tournament we will be putting Chance in the hands of the random Generator for the participants! This event will truly test the skill of each individuals deck building, leaving for the chance at unbelievable, sometimes unbeatable combos that you might not ever see in a normal Raw Deal game. Have you ever dreamt of what it would be like to have Triple H's Hand size, with The Rocks Backlash deck and The Undertakers sick arsenal??? Well Nows your chance to have that happen!
This event will feature some of the best players around today and has no limits on who you are, where your from, or what you will be playing. All that matters is that you have the lackey program and your down to play some games against some players you have never played before, or even wished you could play against, but just couldn't make the trip out!

THE DETAILS

The format will be Virtual Classic
.....With a twist!

THE FUN PART

Each Participant will be given a randomly selected choice of Superstar cards for their deck construction!
-Choices will be broken up into 3 sections: Superstar/Backstage Area, Backlash deck (Pre&Mid) and Arsenal
- For each Section the participant will be given 2 Randomized Superstar choices (For Example: Spike Dudley and Kurt Angle)
- The Particpant will be given the chance to go over what that superstar has to offer for that particular section and then decide either one of the other to run in it
- If the Participant does not want either choice, they have the option to take a random MANDATORY 3rd choice but you MUST go with that choice. So If your picking Backlash deck and you don't like your choices and you opt for the 3rd, you give yourself a chace to pull something GREATER! But also give yourself a chance at pulling someone who has much less value then the 1st two choices you had offered!

So at the end of the selections you can end up with a combination of something like:
JBL (With his 2 Superstar specific Backstage cards) with Chris Benoit Backlash deck (All his goodies) and Jeff Hardy Arsenal!

*ADDITIONAL RULES:*
- For the Purpose of deck construction, All superstar specific Logos get changed to the Logo of the Superstar you draft! For example, with my said example above, JBL's Chris Benoit and Jeff Hardy cards will now have the JBL Logo!
- Any card that specifies a specific Superstar specific card now is re-written with your Superstars logo.

FOR EXAMPLE:
Matching Red Headbands     (Billy & Chuck logo)
Backstage Card
Your Billy & Chuck-specific actions and cards with 'Chuck' in the title are Multi and can only be reversed by 2 reversal cards; double the numbers in their text.
Once during each of your turns, you may remove 1 Billy & Chuck-specific Pre-match card in your Ring from the game, and then shuffle up to 6 cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal; do not remove Heat cards from the game for this effect.
Unique     RMS logo

If you draft Billy and Chuck and Draft Tazz Backlash deck and Shawn Michaels arsenal, Then your Shawn Michaels specific actions will be multi and can only be reversed by 2 reversal cards AND you can remove a Tazz-specific Pre-match to shuffle 6.
ALL LOGOS ARE CHANGED TO YOUR SUPERSTAR AS WELL AS TEXT FOR THIS SPECIFIC CASE

BASICALLY anything that says "_______ Specific's" Now is changed to a generic 'Superstar specific" text, and all logos are changed to your Superstar!

WHAT WOULDN"T WORK:
Any card that says "When Played by"
If you draft Chris Benoit backlash deck, your FOR REAL is not -6F because you are not Benoit, but if something refers to "Chris Benoit specific" cards then the name will be changed to your name!

- If the superstar you draft says you may pack X persons cards, you do not.
For example: If you draft The Game you do not get to pack Triple H cards on top of what you draft
*BUT*
If your card says that you are allowed to pack a Specific CARD(s) then you may!
For Example: If you draft The Hurricanes Superstar/Backstage cards and your backstage cards SPECIFICALLY allows you to pack The Hurrfriends Armory, then you absolutely can!

- If you draft an Enforcer Superstar you will be given 1 RANDOM enforcer! Who you use on the Enforcer however is completely up to you!
- If you draft a Rookie your PRO will be given to you at Random. If you do not like the PRO then you may pack the Nexus Armband of course.

-You still must follow whatever Brand your Superstar Specifics are. If you draft a Superstar with Smackdown cards then you must follow suit!

-If your picks has ZERO to ONLY one card in that particular area, you are allowed a curtsey draw for them!

THATS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!
Please I encourage everyone to ask me any rules questions regarding deck construction. I hate to see someone get caught up and something not work  :(

THE REST OF THE NORMAL STUFF:
We will follow a Round by pairings and top cut format with each round and cut depending on the amount of participants!

Over the coarse of the next week i will be taking sign ups. Please Post on this page if your in and then Shoot me a message and we will do your randomized picks. Once picks are made all deck combinations will be made PUBLIC once sign ups are closed! Build your tournament deck, Bring your A game and play each opponent every week!

Rules Forum / Multi Burn effects and stops
« on: April 13, 2016, 08:00:54 PM »
Reading the outcome of one of the tournament games I needed to clarify different scenarios with reversals and burn effects?

Cards like divine and Carlito stop burn. How does this work with burns from Multi cards?

For example:
Here Comes the Cavalry!
Action + Action
Cannot be packed when you can pack the Tag Team Title Belts or by a Stable.
When your opponent can pack the Tag Team Title Belts, they discard 2 cards and overturn 2 cards.
Shuffle up to 8 cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal and draw up to 2 cards.  When your Ability has "enforcer" in the text, you may also choose a new Enforcer.
F: 10     D: 0     Unique     Multi

If my opponent flips say, Carlito says or Divine on the burn part of this card, does my opponent need 2 burn stops since its multi? Does it stop the burn and I continue on woth effects? Does it end the effects but doesn't end my turn because its multi?

Also, how does this work with Backed by vince and my opponent choosing to burn 7 as choice 1 and flipping a stop on it. Do I proceed with the other 2 choices or does that end the card?

Thanks in advance

Rules Forum / Raw & Ready, Damage or non-Damage card effect?
« on: April 02, 2016, 11:14:29 AM »
Raw & Ready
Reversal: Special
Can only be played after a successfully played maneuver.
Search your Arsenal for 1 card, put it into your hand, shuffle your Arsenal, and then overturn cards equal to the maneuver's Damage. Your opponent continues his turn.
Raw logo
F: 0      D: 0

Given the highlighted text, would the cards being overtuned be considered damage or overturning for effect? If its considered an effect, can I stop the burn with Dbag or Divine? Or is that considered reversing your own card?

SEE AlSO the difference with:

59/383 Over Sell Maneuver (B)
Reversal: Special
Cannot be played by Stone Cold Steve Austin, Undertaker / Deadman Inc, Kane, Tazz, The Rattlesnake, or Big Poppa Pump.
Can only be played after a successfully played maneuver.
Blank that maneuver's text and end your opponent's turn. The maneuver does its normal damage, regardless of overturned Reversal cards. Draw up to 2 cards.
F: 0      D: 0

Rules Forum / We're Here + Superstar Specifics
« on: March 22, 2016, 08:20:44 AM »
We're Here     (+Harper, Rowan, Wyatt Family logo)
Pre-match Event
Can be played during any Pre-match phase. Cannot be blanked.  Your cards with 'break you', 'interest', or 'switcheroo' in the title are blank.
Until the first turn of the game, your opponent's non-Superstar-specific Pre-match effects cannot blank your non-Stipulation cards, discard cards from your hand or Backlash, move cards from your Ring, reduce your Starting Hand Size, or prevent you from playing Pre-match cards.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent

Is the Superstar-Specific Text JUST for the Pre-match blanking or the entire card as a whole?

Exp: AIUU's Discard and 3 Minutes and we're out! discard

Also, i will post this in the Lackey errors page, but the Image on Lackey is the Version that does not have "Non-Superstar specific" in the text

Rules Forum / Winning side + Hell in a Cell

First I want to apologize for my lack of card text, it's frustrating to search up on my phone

Can you ACE Winning side with Hell in a Cell out? I would guess not because you can't move cards from ringside but I got confused with removing or moving to arsenal

Virtual Raw Deal / Don't Treat me like you know me

Don't Treat Me Like You Know Me     (Chyna Doll logo)
Backstage Card
Once during each of your turns before playing a maneuver, you may put 1 card from your Ringside under this card, and when you do your opponent may put 1 card from his hand face-down as a 'wager'; when you play your maneuver, he reveals his 'wager' card.
When the 'wager' is a non-Multi maneuver of the same type as the played maneuver, he discards that card and 1 additional card to completely reverse your maneuver; when the 'wager' is a non-maneuver card, search your Arsenal for 1 non-Unique card with 'dynamic' in the title, reveal it, put it in your hand, and shuffle; when the 'wager' is neither of those, put the cards under this card in your hand.

If my opponent chooses to not wage anything, do I fulfill the part of "Neither of those" and take the card to my hand?
