when i play multiplayer we tend to say effects like that check every player, as it is a sweeping effect without a target ( think of magic the gathering, wrath of god destroying creatures with shroud. doesn't target, but still gets the effect) we say you have to check it against all the players.

as for action reversing, we say it goes around but if a player declares to reverse then no other player can respond, even if the player only reverses once on a multi.

quick question about the new eugene card and his old ability

does this mean that eugenes superstar value becomes 0 rather than -1 of opponents supersar value.

Regarding #HEEL , if you blank your redemption, does that mean that you won't be able to redirect it to your opponent if they play a reversal. Loving dolphs interaction with VG and smackdown build, give me a reason to pack flying mare again

Just wondered about the ACE on the great white, should it be once during your turn rather than just during your turn, because otherwise wouldn't you be able to keep repeating the effect continuously? Loving sheamus and the options avaliable of how to build him

What I meant by playing the nerfed bean was that he has been played with no virtual manuver cards before I came onto this forum, but I can see how it was taken. I will look forward too seeing the new stuff and the release of the set. I wasn't being arguementative I was raising the opinions of a player who has played Eugene pre virtual and post virtual, having more fun playing him post virtual. I apologise if I came across as a baby troll throwing the toys out of the pram.

I understand, but removing that aspect does force the play of cream of the crop smash from the days of classic Eugene even in the new era of AA. Having played a few AA games on lackey I find myself using the virtual card to protect him from antics ect while he still has to find his feet in order to play the high end kill cards. Heck I would take a nerf of having to discard 2 cards to play a superstar specific over not being able to pack virtual, but I guess it would just be me on that one. And the blanking of text automatically would remove momentum, can only be reversed ect ect which stops the loop of recovery abusing certain cards.

I understand about the auto pack syndrome, but I will just say that the cards you mentioned are not virtual, they are classic.

This was my point. Rather than speculated auto packs from virtual, like Dalton flapjack, Owens ensiguri, GTS, hung out to dry horseman style, evans flying takedown, COBRA, calculated attack, gails roundhouse kick, ego driven double team, to name the ones I use, I have to plan for the opponants squash backstage card, so I won't pack those, instead cue the edges running spear, James stratusfaction, Trish chick kicks the list goes on for classic.

And as for the revo syndrome of the momentum manuvers, couldn't that card of been made in revolution to strip ALL players cards of momentum as a Prematch or even midmatch card? Would help level the playing field all round. I can understand totally why it was done, but just Eugene not being irreversable? SEems a bit one sided

I have seen how this new nerfed-gene will play out, but its a case of not getting the auto effects through packing. I would of thought just having the virtual superstar specifics been blank would of been enough to cover the auto pack cards with the damage modification to the reversals. I would accept a 0D being applied to beans reversals over removing virtual.  That stops the momentum panics and auto recover cards.

I agree with all the rest of the card, just not the virtual stripping.

Believe me when I say I will never, ever discredit the work the creative team put into the cards, concepts, hours/months of playtesting the cards for the love of the game, ever.

And secondly, I as much as the next guy like seeing a new superstar and how they work, even the same superstar with a new face (or a 4th)

I always look forward to the changes in the game and the metagame, loving the look of the new dynamic card ( I can see problems against the Kennedy in my group but that's because of the build of the deck) and the flipping cards concept

I completely agree no one superstar should be the "play this guy or go home", and I would go as far to say you defintely have more experience of playing Eugene than me.

My point, which admitedly may not be clear, is that this card stops him playing the cards you guys have put a rediculous amount of effort into creating. I understand that Eugene has potential to just pack the power cards, but I will say that a deck can only contain 60 cards. Yes, there are more likely than not 400+ superstar specifics Eugene can pack and play, and trample burn and pillage any deck that would challange that build, buit then again, wasn't classic Eugene like that anyway?

As far as I can tell, from reading the forums for Eugene decklists, he seems to play just the classic trademarks (rko, snakebite, stratusfaction bulldog ect ect) anyway, but I don't see why he should get restricted from changing that lineup because he has access to the 300+ cards in virtual, but they take up space in the deck and he still has to get to the power bridge. I agree with nerfing his reversal damage and ability to shift ability, I have been on the receiving end of massive damage and handed it out myself and abused playing against LAISE as a bash deck, but I don't see why removing his virtual packing potential has to be done.

I do understand about playing other superstars and I do, currently loving a TTP deck, but I also love been able to play a "best of raw deal" deck in Eugene, as I am sure any Eugene player will say.

Not abusing or not packing BECAUSE its abusing. I pack how I pack, utilising virtual, because otherwise the deck building is stagnant. The cards you listed, the angles uppercuts, the funaki card ect, they are now what I WILL have to pack to get on the board, rather than my current build (decklist up soon) because yes, that build would be dull, boring, a waste of time as far as I am concerned. But once you play one or two games with smash smash Eugene then its a case of ok, its boring now, time to change.

For example, my first Eugene was bash, was pretty much unstoppable until Kennedy, big show, rock, Christian, Kane, undertaker put a stop to his run. But that wasn't Eugene. That was bash. So then I changed to B2B bean and he had a similar run. Then I went chain and he still is, changing raw for smackdown on occasion. The thing is due to this new change It forces Eugene to change into playing all the stuff from the classic pre virtual era of raw deal, rather than using the mix of cards he can now and making the most of the hard work you guys put into the new game. I can understand, on a competitive level, Eugene has the ability to steamroll anydeck if he starts first, but then, can't that be said for any deck starting first with power card manuvers or any chain deck with the 3 unbreakable chains and other chain support? I understand completely why he has been blocked, but from where I sit it forces the build to not use virtual and to go on a spending spree to make him non virtual in order to play him the dull way.

Speaking as a Eugene player, I have found that playing certain superstars (to name drop a few, rock, Christian, Latino cheat, x-PAC, chyna, any of the legends) have had plenty enough ways to deal with Eugene already. In the case of rock, the peeps champ shuts his deck down to a crawl. Having not seen this new Eugene card obviously won't help me with my points, but I know that Eugene can with certain superstar specifics abuse certain aspects of the game, but I disagree with the red wall aspect with one word.

Fortitude

The whole functioning of the game requires initial fortitude, and speaking in terms of virtual yes, he gets access to a ridiculous amount of cards, and yes he has access to cards like snake bite, rko, GTS and many other power reversals, and things like Dalton flapjack, Nikki dropkick and evans standing moonsault to recoup cards, but in order to play all these high end SS-specifics he has to get the starting fortitude out of the gate. Yes, giant head butt, Owens ensiguri, any other multi from the start will be hard to reverse, but couldn't we say that about ANY 0f manuver that is multi or chain or both.

 Heck, I played a game against an xpac deck as Eugene and yes I lost. Why? He searches each turn for a card to ringside, one to hand. Hand he gets a reversal, discard thrust knee lift. Knee lift bottom, removes cards from discard. Nwo poison gets rid of more cards. He then plays manuvers that get through because I haven't drawn any decent reversals/dont have fortitude to play them, I then have several cards removed from game and lose to buried alive match. And why?

No fortitude to play the high level cards


I would say that is how the game works. Whoever gets to that 10-20 fortitude mark will be most likely to win due to backlash support/cards in deck and hand that are playable.

I haven't seen superstars like rock get nerfed at all, even though he can shut you down with brahma bull and peeps champ pretty much straight out of the gate and red wall you from the start without so much as a by your leave.

People play superstars to play as that superstar, not to get them nerfed for a new build to deal with opponant X packing card Y which shuts down the "old" mechanic

Don't get me wrong, I love the work and effort that goes into the card but nerfing superstars seems to much of an easy way of saying "we can't beat superstar X so we will kill that deck build with these support cards". It seems to easy.

Raw deal for me is about having plan C/D/E for players playing certain traits or card types. If you can't deal with them, change the deck, not the playing style of your opponent with a ready to access card. people play the game for fun and love of the game, not to see the game shut down with 2 or free cards.

Apologies for the long read, and I don't want it to come across as a rant or he's upset because he can't play Eugene anymore, but its a bit of a bum seeing decks getting shut down with one or two cards while other superstars run riot easily (I.e. Rock, big show, chyna, undertaker, Kane, I could probably name more) with no drawbacks.

just wondered if any of you guys jknow the measurements for cards in terms of height and width when it comes to running them in a designing programme. i am currently using GIMP in my uni and am trying to get the designs as close as possible to a realistic size.

Just been reading BOD ability and am confused. I have also read the omni FAQ and still can't find an answer.

My question is can brothers of destruction pack cards with Kane and undertaker logo and if so can the also pack card that CAN ONLY be packed by Kane/Undertaker I.e. Through the fire and flames/ undertakers mistique

would i be right in assuming that because TMOD is heat/volley, i would not have to nuke all my heat first because a heat card generated the effect, even though it is the volley trait the card causing it is heat?
