October 21-23

Since there's a game convention here in my local town (being held DIRECTLY across from my new store, might I add!) I've decided to run something big. How big? You guys will decide.

The Main Event - Saturday Oct 22, 2011
Format: Virtual Classic
Prizes:
1st Place - one complete set of the new Belts + 1 new Backstage Autograph Session
2nd Place - 8 of the new belts
3rd-4th    - 4 of the new belts
All Players - one belt (randomly chosen) guaranteed for entering, plus one additional belt for every match win in Swiss rounds.
Also each Swiss round: One player is chosen (random drawing) to receive one of the new Backstage Autograph Session cards.


We will also have side events all weekend with the following prizes:
1st Place - 4 belts
2nd Place - 2 belts

Side Event Formats:
Raw Deal Classic
All Axxess
Virtual Classic
Virtual All Axxess
Virtual Revolution
Battle Royal (multiplayer event using the standard Battle Royal rules posted on RawDealPlanet.com)
Tornado Tag
Any other formats you want to play.

And additional prizes (CI printed prize product from back in the day, foil cards, Ultra Rares, other Wrestling Related Merchandise.)

   That sounds like a lot of fun!  I grew up in Charleston.  I live in Columbus Ohio now, but come down from time to time to see my cousin (who also plays).  I would love to make it in for this.  And for some of your weekly tournys too!

Update: Registration for the con is now open.

If you're looking to come up just for the day, a day pass (Saturday) is $20. As such, there will be NO ENTRY FEE!

Prize support will be phenomenal, as will the level of competition. I've got a few local players that will be there, and we're hoping to get a few more from the surrounding states to make the trip as well.

If you're planning on coming up for the whole weekend, a weekend pass is only $30, and the hotel that's hosting the event is only $85/night also.

I've updated the main post to reflect the correct format. As Drew said it's been changed to "Virtual Classic".

For side events, be sure to bring a Virtual All Axxess deck as well as All Axxess & Raw Deal Classic.We'll try and have a RDC Battle Royal multiplayer event also.

Ahhhhh missed the update on the main post. Looks like I've got some decks to build as I haven't looked at rev since 2007 lol. I'll see if I can throw some stuff together to have something for each format.

I'm planning to bring at least the virtual cards I'm playing with if not an extra full set of Virtual Cards for extra prize support. Should be able to print them in plenty of time.
