I'm driving up to GenCon (from Charleston, WV, not too crazy a drive) this year with my wife and 2 1/2 year old son (I guess the drive may just be a little crazy.)

If anyone is interested in buying cards, I'll certainly bring (a reasonable amount of) stuff, but I will be pretty much occupied with both Warcraft and Magic throughout the weekend.

So far I have confirmation from 3 people(including my self) all from the west coast. and this thread seems to have been jacked by people lamenting the fact that they are not going, not that there is anything wrong with that. I still need to find out who is going to be there so I can download music and burn discs without having to scramble to make them the last second. so if anyone is going regardless if they are running it or not let me know please

Seems fine. I'll bring a few binders of superstar sets, loose ultra-rares, SS3 parallels, and normal rares. Commons and uncommons are staying HOME, since I am not carrying all that stuff lol. Trade stock for various games is already going to require a duffle bag

Yes, it will be the same location as last year, assuming nothing goes wrong.  Worst case scenario, follow the official Raw Deal twitter (@RawDealAtGenCon) for any changes.

Also, assuming I'll be able to make it (long story short, getting evicted and short on money right now for a badge), I'll have my entrance music with me.  I always do in this business.

K.  So for those of us that haven't had the pleasure of playing Raw Deal at GenCon yet, would someone post directions to where you play at here, when available?  (like, name of room/hall.  Next to x, and down the hall from y, that sort of thing.)

Also, I'm assuming Worlds is by invite/qualify only?  If so, are all the tournys that week qualifiers?  Has the format for Worlds been decided?

OK, that's easy to find. The card hall, for everyone else, is the large space ALL the way to the left on the first floor. If you see anything Warcraft-related, a giant city of cards, or a gunmech game, you are on the wrong side of the building.

Once you get inside, you should be able to find the other Raw Deal players by looking to your left and walking forward anywhere from 25-200 feet, depending on what tables Raw Deal occupy for the weekend.

Be prepared for some twists with the rules.  Bring a deck like normal, Classic format.  But...when it comes to in-game rules...there will be chaos.

Sign up by showing up for the tournaments you want to play in.
You don't have to register before the event.
Meet who you can. 
There are no banned Superstars, but check the schedule posted above for tournament formats.
There is no 'bad form', this is the World Championship and Qualifiers for it.  Play to win. 
Don't be nervous, just have fun, heh.

Quick refresher on tournament types:

Classic - no Revolution logo cards
Revolution - only Revolution logo cards are legal
All Axxess - every printed card, Revolution & Classic, is legal
Virtual+ - Virtual Raw Deal cards are legal when this is specified
Tornado Tag - an alternate format played with two Superstar cards, you'll find the rules here.
