UPDATED: 2.4.13

So first I'd like to say I'm a huge fan of all the virtual cards and I have to give huge props to the RDPC for all their hard work in putting such a massive project together and giving the game we all know and love a second life.

That said, I was looking for a way to print out all the cards they've created as closely to real RD cards as I could. I came up with a printing template that puts cards 16 up on a page complete with cut marks and full bleeds so the color goes all the way to the edge of the card. I then made a single PDF with every card from each set (plus a few duplicates everyone can use). I've posted them below for anyone else that's looking to get the cards printed professionally.

All Sets are in separate folders in the link below.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5ofpi8on6zazw26/_Gv9DKszfn

On the dropbox site you can either click to open each PDF in your browser and save them that way or simply drag and drop them to your desktop to start the download. There is even a download all button in the top right as well.

Here are some printing specs to tell your printer to make sure the cards match the original raw deal cards as closely as possible.

Paper: 12 point coated 1 side card stock (12pt C1S)
Cutting: Face trim to 10"x14", then cut to 2.5"x3.5" (10 total cuts per page)

As I've mentioned in other posts I would avoid the typical companies like Kinko's and Staples as they will generally over charge you for a project like this and they won't have the right cutting equipment.

Look for local print shops that would have a precision cutter and see what they charge for digital color prints/copies and get a quote.

Another thing to keep in mind is that when working with a professional printer or the printing industry in general you can usually get a volume discount as they can distribute certain costs throughout the job so that you'll get a cheaper price per piece. So if you can go in with friends or a bigger group you can save some cash that way too.

If anyone has any questions on printing or the template feel free to PM me.

Enjoy!

The links check out fine, you may be having a computer issue, slipkchot.

Start with the WCW, that's the smallest file... but they are all large graphical files, so they'll take time to load, especially transmitting to another country.

Yeah they are all pretty big files it will take some time to download. Make sure you have the latest version of adobe reader or another PDF reader installed too.

Just my 2ยข, but I can't stand Adobe.  www.foxitreader.com provides a good .pdf reading program (and browser plug-in) that is MUCH faster and smoother, but that's just my opinion.

Noticed that the PDF usually tries to load in your browser and the files are so big the download "times out" so I've put all the files in one zip file (211Mb), that way you can just download them directly and see your progress. You can also right click each file and choose save link as... to download the file directly.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2104703/Virtual%20Raw%20Deal/Virtual%20Raw%20Deal/Virtual%20Raw%20Deal%20-%20Complete.zip

I can zip each set if that would be easier for people to download, just let me know.

Update: I found out that my version of Revo 5 was missing the New Revolution superstars and their cards. I've updated the file to include everything. Just wanted to update everyone in case you printed them and didn't realize you were missing those cards. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Has anyone had any luck findind someone that could die cut the cards once they are printed and laminated?  I'm thinking of getting them printed online and cut if I can.

I printed and cut these myself (I work for a printer). I've done some manual round cornering, but I'm not sure its worth the added cost as you can't really tell once they're in sleeves. If you find a place to do the corning for a reasonable price let me know. Also, I'd definitely recommend not laminating the cards if you're looking for a consistent cut. Was there a specific reason you were planning to laminate them?

Around how much would printing all the files cost? I'm looking into getting a set of cards printed and I don't want to get ripped off. Also has anyone heard of or used Minuteman Press (not even sure if they are able cut the cards etc yet)? I've been trying to find a local printing place and there doesn't seem to be to many options.

Sorry for the late response. It can really vary from printer to printer. I'm a little biased as I work in a print shop and we have fairly low click rates ($0.33 color clicks) where your typical Kinko's or Staples will charge closer to $0.49+ per click.

So with that said printing will cost somewhere in the range of $45-$65. Paper and cutting will vary as some shops will charge you for the whole lot of paper if they don't have it in stock. Also, some shops will change a "set up" fee for using any equipment, like a precision cutter, plus a per blade lift fee. This could add another $30-$60 to the order.

If you're having trouble finding local printers, check with online printers. Often you can upload "print ready art" to their site. They usually offer lower prices as they do higher volumes and will just ship directly to you.

Feel free to run a quote by me via PM if you're worried about getting ripped off. Happy to offer advice if I can.

So is printing this way similar to having real cards? Right now I just print virtual on paper, cut it out with scissors, place it in front of a real card, and then sleeve it.  I'd like to print the cards in a quality that could be almost good enough to play without sleeves (not that I want to play without sleeves). And if this is the case, is there a way to print these with the original Raw Deal card back?

ZSlash, would you be willing to do the same thing you've done with the previous sets for Virtual Revo 4 and Virtual 5? I don't particularly trust the cutters at the place I normally go to handle the format Creed uses, and the full bleed makes a tremendous difference in card quality after cutting, but I have no idea how to go about doing it for myself.

Thanks for what you've done for the previous sets!

Hey sorry for the late response, I don't follow threads as closely as I used to these days. If I don't respond right away feel free to PM me with questions.

Regarding the raw deal backs, I've leaned away from it for a couple reasons.

1. It would double printing costs
2. It blurs the areas of gray with copyright and the last thing I want to do is put virtual cards in jeopardy
3. Unless you get the cards round cornered as well (fairly expensive) you will still need sleeves.

@Dilbert505 Happy to set up the new set like the others. I was just waiting for everything to be finalized before posting. I'll post here when I have updated file.

Cool man. One more question. Is the 12 point coated 1 side card stock like the original cards. Would I be able to sleeve them without another Raw card in there?

Sorry again for the late response. Yes you can use 12pt to play without any backer. You'll still need sleeves, but as long as they don't have see through backs, the cards are completely functional.
