It's the only Unleashed Bomb on ebay. It's still a crazy price, but if you don't know about TCO where are you going to find the cards you want? People don't bother selling stuff on ebay and/or no one really has anything left to sell. Raw Deal cards will become more and more rare. I'm a little surprised (if it's real) but not much.

Someone is pumping up their own auctions IMO. If this is the case I am selling my master set!

As a seller myself, it would be interesting to me to see if the "buyer" even pays for it. I believe BigJohnStudd is correct ... someone is pumping up their own auctions.

If this becomes the going prices, then I might have to start considering selling my master Superstar specific collection (otherwise known around here as the RAW Deal Bible).  Grin

Being that it's so isolated, it's obviously shady. Look at past auctions to get more accurate market value.

I was thinking the same thing. If this turns out to get paid for or the value of the cards go way up, I might do the same.

There is a reason that I have sold my magic collection and I have kept my Raw deal collection. There is a market for magic cards that does not make me want to kill myself when I try to sell them. If this was something other than someone pumping up their own auction I would be selling a few sets.

If you look at the bid history you can see its someone jacking up the price of their own auction and a closer look at the bidding history of the accounts placing the bids have been used that way before. Probably one seller with 4-5 accounts. They jack up the price and if they get someone else to bid, great if not they can give one of their fake accounts positive feedback.

That guy is selling more than the two items this way, as the item locations on all these things being sold is the same.. This is the reason I hate ebay sometimes

I have bought from this seller before I believe. I don't think any seller is dumb enough to schill bid that high. I think somebody else is doing fake bidding to increase their own value or to try to hurt the sellers reputation.

It figures. Ive been loking for an Unleashed Bomb for like 2 years, and the first one that comes up on ebay in that time span, and its 132.00.

This is exactly what I was talking about. If you don't know about TCO and you have to buy your singles off ebay what else are you suppose to do? No one sells their cards on ebay anymore, if they have any to sell. Two years and this is the only time this card has been listed on ebay, if you have been looking for it what else do you do? Keep buying booster boxes (if you can find those) until you pull the one UR you want? It's still a crazy price but if someone has been searching for this card for two years and this is the only one they have seen I'm sure it will go for some good money. Same thing for the Ric Flair card. It's not easy to find this stuff anymore (unless you buy here).

I would like to think that anyone willing to pay that much for a card from an out of print game would be Internet savvy enough to know about TCO.  You would have to really love Raw Deal to spend that much, and if you love Raw Deal that much you would be inclined to find the community.

Dude... there was once a Lita Fan who got into a bidding war with another Lita fan over the Starter rare - Crimson Goddess.

I managed to "help" the non-winning second bidder out by shipping him the Lita starter foils for $20.

When opportunity knocks you just have to remember to open the door and let it in.

Before I learned about you guys at Gen-Con, I didn't know about this site and I did do some searches for Created Raw Deal Superstar Cards.  All I ever found was a guy on Flickr who did some interesting stuff.  TCO isn't even mentioned on Boardgamegeek.com for Raw Deal.  Granted, I'm not THAT savvy, but its possible.

He might just lie to you and just say they paid.

If he does, and they didn't, he's still on the hook for the auction fees, so really, what does it matter?

What's really bizzare is:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWE-Raw-Deal-SS3-UR-FOIL-GAME-INTERFERES-TB-/260817625748?_trksid=p4340.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D200652664844%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2942807307692130385

Has the buy it now up for $24.

That being said... I've had auctions up, and seen people go after other auctions, and mine either hasn't sold, or has gone for less then half of what the auction went for.

Strange stuff happens, but it's different buyers on each auction, so who knows.
