I don't think a market price exists for all of his cards, I think you mean if you pay the same as the highest ending auction. That can be more misleading than looking at only the high price in a price guide. Market price is determined from an average range that usually throws out the highest and lowest recordings as aberrations.

I understand, I just didn't realize how some superstars had appreciated in terms of what people were paying for them.  Undertaker seems to be skewed much higher than almost anyone else I've seen.

I wondered why that Austin set was so high already. Didn't realise it had a TB DTA in it  Tongue

That's the 2nd time that guy has listed an Austin set so I think the last person to win it was a non payer.

This is the same guy who listed the Barbed Wire Baseball Bats for $3 a pop.

I feel he's done very little in the way of market research Tongue

holy smokes! Now I'm wondering what that P***B guy put as his highest price

odds are its mainly collector value

there's another copy up here, lets see what happens in a week

http://www.ebay.com/itm/190697552147?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

now I really really regret selling my spare copy for $10

I'm just wondering.. How many of these high prices are driven by our Singapore scammer who is just claiming the cards never arrive, so it doesn't matter what he bids?

In theory he could:
1. Drive the prices up, creating an artificial high price.
2. Win the auction
3. Claim he didn't get the cards, in essence he gets the cards for free.
4. Sell his free cards under a different username.
5. Reap free money at artificially created prices.

I'm inclined to disbelieve this theory with regards to the Cactus deal; the buyer has good rep, isn't xlolx2 and had a few bids here and there rather than the large number of bid spamming that you'd expect from a scammer

unless he's part of a large network of bots; but thats a whole new level of tinfoil hattery altogether

anyways since we're so riled up, here's a picture of kittens something cheap

Also with with the ddt is that it seems to go nuts no matter who the seller is. A diffrent one when I bought mine went over 50.00 before I got mine for 31.00 so this one I am enclined to belive. There is just some thing about Cacuts cards that just go nuts no other way to put.

I highly doubt it's that complicated. I think he just wants to get the cards for free. So he drives the prices up, gets the cards and then disputes knowing he will win.

I didn't say it was that complicated, I just said he COULD do that. I am pretty sure he is using my first three points though.

Well, I don't have the link, but a Paid,Laid, and Made went for over $30 just a couple days ago, and considering some of the stuff that guy had for sale and the prices he got, I was expecting it to go for more.  I got absolutely nothing of his that I bid on becaus so much of it went for so much.  Here Comes the Champ was a high in my opinion.  Of course I could just be bitter that I sold mine a few months ago and didn't get near that.
