EJ pales in comparison to most of the other stuff I've seen so far; but he has a huge SHS, a way to get off the board and an ability that will stay useful throughout the match if you can keep ahead (very Lita-ish)

ofc we haven't seen his cardpool yet so....

Or was it down to him being able to have his first move irreversible without fail, so any more would be overkill?

This. Turns of doom aren't fun for anyone.

Rest assured, everything that Zeke does, he dominates.

How have we gone this long without seeing one of the biggest stars in WWE? Because it's a conspiracy! C-O-N-spiracy!

Now, you've gotta be saying to yourself, "Nate, I love it, but what in the flying hell is a Little Jimmy Deck?!" Well, don't think that I'd leave you hanging like that. THIS is a Little Jimmy Deck!

So here's the deal. You build your core Truth deck, then you put your Face and Heel cards (yes, both) into your Little Jimmy Deck, including some of Truth's specifics. Once your Superstar is revealed (and you know who your opponent is, since you reveal at the same time), you pick an alignment, integrate the cards of that alignment from your Little Jimmy Deck into your Arsenal and Backlash, and you're good to go!

Immediate rules question comes to mind.

R-Truth gets 8 Pre-Match, 8 Mid-Match, and 8 Little Jimmy Backlash cards. The Little Jimmy Backlash cards are not restricted to a set number of Pre-Match or Mid-Match cards, correct?

The Little Jimmy Deck are not restricted to a set number, no. If you REALLY want to have 8 Mid-Match Heel cards and 8 Pre-Match Face cards in it, that's fine.

Though you're probably doing yourself a dis-service by going that far to one extreme or another

Well now, that is an interesting concept.  Kudos to you gentlmen for that creative thinking.

I'm perplexed by the Eve: Dirty Dancer card reference.  Do those two have a history I've forgotten about?

Yeah, Eve used to hang out with Truth.

To answer the next obvious question, Eve: Dirty Dancer is a new Diva Run-in in V5.

Does playing R-Truth BASH effectively make The Little Jimmy Deck useless (other than superstar specific cards)?

Yes, you pack the Face and Heel cards in the LJD, so BASH would clash with that and you'd just get the SS-specific Face and Heel cards in there.

Interesting ability. I'll hold off until I see the specifics, because while that offers utility, it doesn't neccessarily grant strength. Though I'll probably have fun trying to optimize it Cheesy

It is cool, I really like it.  What would be really neat to see is a specific that, I dunno, takes all the face/heel cards out of his arsenal/backlash mid-game, puts them back into the LJD, and then puts either the other, or one or the other back in.  Then I can really have a mid-match face turn. Smiley

It would allow some flexibiity, and possibly take away from the flavor that was discussed for him.  I'm sure he's still awesome.

Speaking of awesome............ ..The Awesome Truth was the best tag team last year, until R-Truth met Evan Bourne

We're not including this right away, but it is on the radar for a later card. We want to make sure that the basic model works before we think about flip-flopping.

Please don't defame Barron like that. He's done a lot for the Raw Deal community, let the man rest in peace.

I really enjoy his ability, but I don't see how it would be beneficial to change your deck BEFORE the match.  Maybe like stated earlier a mid game Heel or Face turn would be awesome, but the only info before the game starts is who your opponent is playing.  Maybe I am missing something.....

Often WHO your opponent is playing will tell you WHAT you're opponent is playing.

Not always true though. I knew a guy who turned up to a tournament with a Tajiri deck back in the day. Mono-sub. Go figure Tongue

You can always use that information of what most people expect to your advantage. Keep the pre-match vague enough and in Tajiri's case most people would be finding strike reversals giving him some easy Fort off the submissions.

Back at Gen Con in 05 (so long ago.... ). I was playing FBI, my opponent was BOTY.  He smirked when he saw who I was playing ( I assume he thought I was a heat build), then I proceeded to destroy him with multi brass knuck punches!  He was so upset, after that.  Made my day.  :-). Never assume you know what your opponent is playing.

It might help to know that there are 4 Truth cards that are Face and 4 that are Heel, so you also have to slightly different playstyles to choose from...  Wink

(Yes, Truth has a larger-than-normal playset)

This. This is pretty much what he relied on if I recall.

And obviously, I know you should never assume but there are certain situations where you can make the decision for you. Someone that you know has hard to stop Multis? Play face for Once is Enough. Heavy Discard? Go Heel for Heeling and DHTPHTG. Someone with a metric tonne of SS actions or just a heavy action superstar, face for Just Bring It if you happen to be packing it. I mean, an experienced player would be able to utilise his versatility quite well I reckon. So I won't be touching him  Tongue
