WHOA!  Tonight, CM Punk takes on Daniel Bryan (non-title)... Sadly, I think it will go like their one ROH match-up, where outside plot overshadowed what should have been an awesome wrestling match.

Results as they happen, I'm kind of interested in tonight's show (though I feel a bit like Charlie Brown thinking kicking the football will be awesome this time, lol)

Randy Orton defeats Dolph Ziggler in a pretty good but short match
Brodus Clay beat Tyler Reks in a dinosaur battle (Funkasaurus vs. T.Reks, heh)
Daniel Bryan gets a DQ win over C.M. Punk after &%^$# Jericho interrupts a great match - grrrr
Beth Phoenix easily beats a distraught Eve to retain her title
(Sadly, that's all of the wrestling, as the last segment is Triple H/Laurinitis)

it was genius. completely flipped it. this time a returning taker interrupts a returning hhh and issues a challenge. to be told no continues the trend that while this is the same as last year it is the opposite. this will instill in some fans that this year, taker will lose.

Do you really think that's the plan? For Taker and HHH to go at it again for the 3rd time at Wrestlemania when the 20-0 streak is on the line? I saw the 1st time live in Houston at Wrestlemania 17 and it was a great match on the scaffold and everything, but the second time last year was not as entertaining. I really hope this is not what they are going to do. I was actually hoping Brock Lesnar would return to the ring to take on the Taker streak at Wrestlemania now that Brock is done with UFC, not to mention the threatning exchange of words they both had with each other at UFC ringside a while back. I think that would be a breath of fresh air verus a HHH 3rd match, not to mention Brock's return would be seriously phenomenal. That would be a Wrestlemania to remember. But I'm pretty positive it will never happen since they wouldn't want to upstage the Rock/Cena match they have been building up for almost a year now.  Embarrassed

Considering they start the match with the Code of Honor?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNyJNXiav1s&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

watch it while it's up.
Best match I've seen in a very long time.

I'm wondering when we get to see the full omg version on PPV

The handshake was a sweet tough, yeah, heh....  pretty darn solid!

All in all, it was a pretty good show!  The only things I didn't get that I'd hoped for (besides more, you know, WRESTLING.. lol) was Kharma terrorizing the divas and JL actually getting relieved of his GM position.   But otherwise, I'm not disappointed  Smiley

Can't wait to see Kharma destroying the Twins this Friday....or later?

Taker vs Triple H III won't be that good IMO since he has been beaten twice already, unless WWE is trying to ignore the first one like what they did last year again.

If Taker is still in working shape until the next year, it will be Taker vs Cena, no doubt.

Considering how badly he appeared to be at the end of the last Mania match, I think this could be it for Taker, actually.  I'd give him Trips this year for the 20-0, let him retire, and put him in the Hall of Fame for 2013.

I totally agree with you CREED that this is the likely scenario for the "Deadman" in all probability. I just feel like he's going out on a downer match with another HHH re-hash. I like to dream big that he would go out while beating a returning Lesnar, after Lesnar had recently fallen from UFC stardom. To me that would be much more entertaining and that more significant as a win to cap off the 20-0 streak. But that's just my opinion.  Roll Eyes

I want Undertaker to go out with a loss to Kane. It will be way bigger if he goes out with a loss. The stuff of legends.

cool idea my friend came up with, have him either win or lose to Kane for the 20th, after the match he looks at Kane, the arena goes black, you hear the gong and when the lights come back on and he is gone with just the urn sitting where he had been standing.

Not that's a plausible ending. That would be epic

Honestly, my thought on this was that both Glenn Jacobs and Mark Calaway are getting to the point where they'd like to retire. WM 28, 20 minute slugfest back and forth, chokeslams go nowhere, Tombstones do nothing, Last Ride gets reversed, flying clothesline has no effect, just a real brutal match that leaves JR screaming about neither of them being able to put the other man away by any means.

Final spot, Taker sets up Kane for a Tombstone, he fights out and maintains the hold, so Kane's now got Taker in position for one. Taker fights out again, and this time hoists Kane onto his shoulder. Walks over to the turnbuckle, and climbs up one, two, three. From the top turnbuckle, sets Kane up for the Tombstone, drops, and they both go through the ring. (If Taker can't physically do this, he can just jump a bit instead of his standard "drop to the knees" Tombstone, but the turnbuckle idea is cooler.) Lights go out. A few seconds later, flame jets up through the hole in the ring, and the lights come back to Taker's eerie blue/purple haze... and there's nobody in the ring except for a badly shaken referee.

Then neither are seen again until Undertaker and Kane (and Paul Bearer) are announced to headline the WWE HoF class of 2013.

The idea of them both annihlating (sp?) each other to the point of dissappearnce is extremely awesome and well suited for their characters.

Unlikey that the WWE will have thought of something as great, let alone follow through on it, but it would be awesome if they did. Heres to hoping.
