After two 1st place seasons, it's my turn to take a beating. I'm not rolling over though.

2 1st place seasons, eh? That's only because you weren't playing against me, Piper. How many times in the draft did I draft guys and a "DAMMIT DREW" came from your text box?

I come in to town and I'm 1st and you're in the basement.

Seems like theres a new sheriff in town. Thoughts?  laugh

Just another normal week for my Braves/Furcal/Tulo mix:

Be looking at a 2-8/0-10 week on Wednesday, somehow recover to 5-5 on the back of my OFFENSE!?, probably set four weekly records (Runs, RBI, High ERA, High WHIP), and salvage at least a 4-6 against the top team. (Though if my guys suck today, I can still end up 2-8. [crosses fingers])

Again, nothing but "sheer F***ing luck" powering this team. Just ask the Phillies and Rockies.

Around Thursday I could've sworn I was on the road towards that 8-2 or 10-0 win, then your Braves came storming back. TBH, I'm actually quite OK with the 5-4-1 win because your Batters were out of control last week, your Runs and RBI were the league high. If Yu Darvish doesn't throw 20+ strikeouts this week, it's 5-5, so I'll take the win where I can get it.

Thanks for coming out!

With Huston Street going on the DL, I have now had 6 of my 8 drafted pitchers go on the DL. Thank goodness I was able to pick up Kyle Lohse as a free agent.

My only hope is that Atlanta can do way better in St. Louis than they've done in Chicago.

I'm screwed.

Weekend coming up:

With a little luck, I MIGHT salvage 5-5 vs. Piper. No thanks to Hamilton's "career week", though.

9-8-14-0-.524 would beat just about any team by itself.

In other games:

Jose and Derelicts are still up for grabs in most stats, but Jose's looking like he should at least win the week.

ISO-9000 and Punishment's definitely a toss-up going down to the very end.

Homeplate vs. Isotopes is also a tight one, but with fewer stats in play.

Pain looking for the minor "upset against C's Team. But other than ERA, I'd say all the stats could easily go either way.

Banditos picked a BAD week to slump... RBI's gonna have a pretty big lead over everyone else come Monday morning.

You should have SB and saves locked up, ERA, WHIP, and AVG are up for grabs. I think I have the rest locked up. Your team has done surprisingly well this season.

And I have at least two hitters not playing today. You are mounting quite the comeback. The Cards must blast Hanson now.

5-5 looks most likely, unless Lynn/relievers or Hanson/relievers get absolutely wasted

As hot as I started, 5-5 is a huge win for you and a choke by my team.

im in a league with my friends and a few others and its only an 8teamer, didnt have a lot of interest this year, then also am in a 12 team public league that a guy i know actually got into too. my 12-team league has some real good offense.

my OF is stacked. josh hamilton(i am a rangers fan and took him in both my leagues of course! Grin), carlos beltran, carlos gonzalez, desmond jennings, and cameron maybin(a nice source of steals). also took starlin castro, evan longoria(sadly), mike morse(excited for his return in 3ish weeks), and yadier at catcher. pitchers arent anything to write home about, mostly some FA pitchers and YUUUU!!!!! i am in 2nd place at the moment and would be dominating this week like 8-2 if i remembered to update my lineup from mon-weds. missed out on 33innings of 2 run ball, 33 Ks and 2 wins!!!

fair amount of guys are having rough seasons. mauer, fielders been dipping lately, arods been ok, hanleys average stinks, choo has been mediocre, and then halladay lester and haren havent been their usual. gotta figure things will definitely improve soon enough. this is my team, .5 gb of first in 2nd place.

C- Yadier Molina
1B- Adam LaRoche (til morse returns)
2B- Allen Craig (just picked up last night)
3B- Pedro Alvarez (til longoria returns)
SS- Starlin Castro
OF- Carlos Gonzalez
OF- Josh Hamilton
OF- Carlos Beltran
UTIL- Desmond Jennings
UTIL- Cameron Maybin
DL/bench are morse and longoria

SP- Darvish, CJ Wilson, Morrow, Dempster, Peavy, Hammel, Jake Westbrook (basically a bunch of real solid FA pickups)
RP- Fernando Rodney, Scott Downs, Dale Thayer,

looking for replacements for scott diamond(spot start today) and addison reed(awful)

im happy with my team thus far, looking to improve my relief pitching to get another closer or two

Agreed,
Most of the guys with down years I just traded for or picked up on waivers. That's why things are looking up. Youkilis should be back this week. Who knows on Crawford and Utley though.
Your team looks good. Can they sustain their numbers in your opinion?
