My team last year was overshadowed by my money league, but this year I'll be paying more attention to ours. I did pretty well in the first one we did back in 2010, let's see how this years goes. :]

I never thought I would enjoy fantasy baseball more than fantasy football, but this league has been so fun the last two years. Draft day is still the highlight for me.

I personally can't wait for this season to start.  Had a lot of fun last year, even though piper narrowly edged me out in the playoffs...Tongue.  The only thing that sucks is Draft Day is the last day of my spring break, and I'll be traveling back home that day.  Should make it in time, I hope, but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm curious as to why it really matters. I've read my fair share of fiction, and have taken some chops to the chest while drunk. Based on that, I could fit in this group too.

I think we can change the time to accommodate a majority, but it's hard to get a time that works for everybody.

If Sunday works for everyone else, that's fine with me.  I can always set my first couple of rounds to auto-draft if I need to.  As long as there's not any major accidents or anything, I should be home in time for the time set currently.

If anyone's interested, I'm running a money league with my friend in addition to being in our friendly league here. $100 to enter, first place will win $800, second wins $300, third wins $100. If you want to inquire further, shoot me a PM.

Head to head points. 10 to 12 teams depending on how many people we get to join, but I already have 5 people interested not including me. Rosters are 1x C, 1x 1B, 1x 2B, 1x SS, 1x 3B, 1x Corner Inf, 1x Middle Inf, 5x OF, 1x Utility, 10x Pitchers, 4x Bench with 2x DL slots.

There will be a SS slot too. Sorry, I missed it when I was typing everything out haha. Daily line up changes locked at the start of the first game of the day. 13 max starts, no max games played, and seven max player acquisitions per week.

I guess I'll be the last one in... and I'm sure I'll challenge for the Pittsburgh Pirate hopelessness title before long.

P.S.: Who do I need to shoot to get all Braves on my team? Wink

Question: do you guys want more spots? I would love to increase the size if you prefer.

I think 12 teams is the perfect number if that is what you meant. If you mean roster, I wouldn't mind one bench spot that you can put an injured guy in since teams don't always use the DL.

I'd be completely ok with one bench spot, or even for one bench hitter and one bench pitcher.  I ran into the issue last year of having an "injured" player that I couldn't put on the DL for a couple of days.  Adding those 2 spots shouldn't make for that much daily upkeep, I wouldn't think.

I'd still have it be weekly with the bench spot.

The original idea of the current format is that most members don't have a lot of time to adjust their rosters all the time, so it was set to have weekly roster movements instead of daily. Two DLs seem to be enough last year.

Exactly, you seem to be missing the point. Leave it as once a week, but with one bench spot.
Example: roster locks Monday morning, in Friday's game Josh Hamilton tweaks his hamstring. The Rangers rest him Saturday and Sunday. Our roster locks again in the morning. Tuesday morning the Rangers put him on the DL. You had a choice to keep Hamilton on your roster and score zero points for 10 days, or you could cut a high ranked player.
IF you had a bench spot, you could have benched him for a player that could score points while the Rangers debated about putting him on the DL.
Still only once a week roster lock.
