I've never been a fan of the weekly roster locks. How hard is it to set your lineup every Sunday for the week?

Not very hard, besides you can set it ahead of time. The plus of a luck is that you don't have one person exploiting pitching match ups on a daily basis. I really don't want to study the rotation and off days all week, setting it for the week is perfect for me.

See, I don't like the weekly roster lock for the same reason you want a bench spot: injuries. I can't tell you how many times last season (at least 4) the roster locked on (I think, I could be off on this, but the point's the same) Monday, someone got injured Monday night, and I was stuck with a dead roster spot for the rest of the week with absolutely nothing I could do about it. If we could have one bench spot, and permit add/drops during the week with a one-day waiting period (or cap the add/drops at 2 or 3 a week, something like that), that'd balance it out much better IMO, because nobody's going to exploit the roster switching if they have to lose players to do it, but you wouldn't lose a position for a week because of a poorly-timed injury.

If at all possible, I'd like to go to weekly move caps and one bench spot, instead of the roster lock. I'll play either way, though.

We are also at the mercy of what Yahoo Fantasy Baseball can actually do. I'm not sure how much customizing is possible.

I understand how bad it is when your guys hurt on late Sunday and you can't pull him out of the weekly roster the next day. Still, it is only on Sunday night to be a little busy instead of being busy the whole week. I can live with either of them though.

Isnt there a way to set your roster for the week and then change it if need be day by day?

Im in a yahoo hockey league and i do that all the time. I set my lineup on monday morning for the week, and if someone goes down or sits out, i change it that day.

Sorry if this isnt do-able with baseball, i didnt bother reading the whole thread, cuz im lazy and i wanna go to lunch.

Exactly, you seem to be missing the point. Leave it as once a week, but with one bench spot.
Example: roster locks Monday morning, in Friday's game Josh Hamilton tweaks his hamstring. The Rangers rest him Saturday and Sunday. Our roster locks again in the morning. Tuesday morning the Rangers put him on the DL. You had a choice to keep Hamilton on your roster and score zero points for 10 days, or you could cut a high ranked player.
IF you had a bench spot, you could have benched him for a player that could score points while the Rangers debated about putting him on the DL.
Still only once a week roster lock.
See its only a Sunday change, it just gets you flexibility to keep a guy that isn't on the DL yet. I don't know how to be more clear than say 1.you can only change the bench player when you do your other roster changes on Sunday. You are still only busy with it once a week.

Are we going to set the draft order early or wait for the yahoo randomizer?

It will be randomized one hour before the draft.

I did ok with the 11 pick, but I'm really worried about my pitching.

I'm probably going to lose in stolen bases every week but besides that I really like my team.

My team looks real fine covering all stats. I wish I could pick better closers early though. The closer hunting season will start when the season starts!!

My team is interesting, to say the least.  I'm pretty comfortable with who I have, though there are a few question marks here and there...especially in my outfield.  Stolen bases might also be a problem for me...

I'm curious as to why it really matters. I've read my fair share of fiction, and have taken some chops to the chest while drunk. Based on that, I could fit in this group too.

If roster line ups are set for Monday, why am I being blocked from changing my lineup if today is Sunday?

You can change your lineup for the whole week, but your roster will be changed for the next week by Monday.

Wow, it looks like six of my draft picks will start the season on the DL. The damn Japan series forced us to draft too early. I will be easy to beat week 1.
