Apparently neither myself nor Ravnos got to 20 innings... 0-5-5 is so weird.

I find it weird that 5-0-5 is leading over a 7-2-1.

I'm still annoyed that teams didn't put players on the DL until after our roster lock. 6 of my 17 draftees went DL right after the lock. FML

Yeah, I was kinda annoyed about the not hitting 20 innings...that probably shouldn't be a rule during the first week, honestly.  The DL thing also disappointed me, as Storen was known to be hitting the DL for 2 weeks before the end of spring training, and Yahoo never updated it.  Not as bad as Piper's case, but still.

Well, it looks like we're the only two who missed the mark. But yeah, only getting a half-week worth of games (unless you had an A's or Mariners player) did kinda screw with the innings.

It didn't help me either that the Angels decided to make Wilson their number 4 starter, or that the Marlins did the same thing with Sanchez.  I was expecting number three out of both of them...especially Wilson.  Also, that 5 tie will come back to bite me in the rear at some point this season, I'll guarantee it.

This'll likely curse me... but I'm somehow up 7-1-2 in this week's games. With 3 or 4 of the seven definitely locked in.

Another week... and the east coast rain-outs have helped me, barring a late Braves pitching collapse/Jimmy Rollins stealing six bases today/other baseball oddity, to a 7-3 mark.

I do feel bad for Pain... he had a really good chance at 5-7 wins this week, or at least a damned exciting finish. But I'll take being in the top 4 at any time, especially with my "team".

I lost two more pitchers to the DL. My first five pitchers I drafted are all done. I will be lucky to win a pitching category ever.

There has got to be a better way to work this lock non sense than what we have now.

I missed out on Swishers HUGE week, because i didnt get to set my lineup until monday night. Coincidentally enough, i lost most of the offensive categories by a couple points; had Swisher been in, i would have one.

I can see losing out on 1 game. But to lose out for a week is definatley diffuclt to swallow because i didnt decide on sunday that i wanted Swisher in allllll week.

This is why I suggested we not do the roster lock, and instead institute a limit on the number of moves a team can make in a week. That's how I've seen it done in fantasy hockey, and it worked fantastically. None of this "Oh, my guy got hurt slightly after the rosters locked, so now I'm f*(%ed for this week" bullcrap. Unfortunately, that didn't get much traction, and we decided to stick with what we already knew from last season didn't work.

Ah, well. You live, and learn. Maybe next year.

I've found that not being able to change my lineup daily has saved me from making a couple of changes that would not have worked out in my favor.

IMO injuries, especially baseball injuries, are random acts of whimsy from the baseball gods, equally likely to affect all fantasy baseball owners eventually. I'm sure I'll be the eventual victim of injury, benching, random act of baseball stupidity like the supposed 1990 injury to John Smoltz ironing the shirt he was to wear that day while he was wearing it.

As it stand, I'm actually in favor of the way the league is currently set up, it adds some luck in to the fantasy contest. I, however, reserve the right to change my mind whenever it suits me best.

I think adding the one bench spot was huge. I love the Sunday night lock for the week. My DL problems were bad luck with my pitching staff. The only change I would make is to draft the Sunday before the first game so that late spring training injuries don't kill somebody's draft.

Jair Jurrjens, you are the weakest link. Goodbye. And welcome back Tim Hudson for next week.

Well, this week's looking bad already on a pitching front.

KBJ, how did I not notice that you're the biggest Braves homer?

Better question, how in the hell are you 16-9 with a team 90% composed SOLELY of Braves players?

All I've come up with is: "Sheer f***ing luck". Especially considering I started 0-5-5.

Well, now I see how badly my "strategy" works out.

No true test like playing #1, coming off a 6-4 loss on my end (blown late) and a 10-0 asskicking on his end.

As Piper said, I'm rolling Heel/Cheater

On one hand I'm hoping your strategy will leave you looking like a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest. On the other hand I'm actually rooting for the underdog

As you said my team is on a roll after instilling a 10 - 0 beatdown, but let's see if your team consisting of 90% ATL Braves can actually hang.

I'd bet on this.

How the heck do 6 of my 9 batters not play on the same day when all of their teams were scheduled? If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. D'oh.

Piper

Chase Utley is on your bench and technically doesn't count cause he's DL-eligible so I only count 5 of 9.

2 were Detroit PPD due to inclement weather. One is Joe Mauer (duh! if you didn't expect injuries eventually) and Youkilis and Hamilton have back issues of late. Speaking of which, I have some perfectly healthy guys on my roster that are up for trade. I'm always fielding offers for your tired, your poor, huddled masses (namely Hamilton and/or Prince) that I'm sure are yearning to play for a winning manager like myself.

The 6th guy was Logan Morrison, he did eventually pinch hit, but one at bat does not a win make:/

I stand corrected.. At least he got an at bat on what I assume was a routine day off. Baseball fates though do seem to be unkind to you as of late
