Am I the only one that went to dallascowboys.com and check to see if Jerry Jones kicked the bucket after seeing that Dallas traded up to get a Cornerback? I dunno who Jerry Jones' muse is, but I'm glad he's working on making a football team finally.

That was the best move of the draft. The Vikings fleecing the Browns was good too. The Rams and Bucs are the early losers.

If you wanna know what's going on, it's this: Jerry Jones' son Steve is of the "let the coaches make personnel decisions" mindset. Rob Ryan wanted Morris Claiborne, let Steve know that's who he wanted, and Steve bugged his dad about it until Jerry finally caved in and agreed to it.

Jason Garrett and his coaches know that Steve Jones will speak on their behalf, and is also the only one that can pester Jerry until he caves in.

EDIT: Thank you Miami for drafting Ryan Tannehill. Thank you Kansas City for taking Dontari Poe. And thank you Andy Reid for making a pick that didn't make me want to jump off a building.

2nd EDIT: For the second year in a row, this happened during the picks:

Roger Goodell: "With the fourteenth pick in the 2012 NFL Draft......."
Crowd: "WHAT?!?"

Now if only they'd break out in "YES" chants, like my friend Brian suggested.

The rams have stockpiled so many picks for the next 3 years they are going to possibly be frightening by the beginning of the 2014 season.

I'm just happy that the Steelers got their ideal candidate falling into their laps because of all the craziness.

The Redskin's trade made the Rams winners of course. I'm just referring to the fact that they were outmaneuvered twice for the WRs they wanted. By only one pick both times. Close but no cigar, it puts them behind a whole year unless they find a hidden gem in the passing game.

Boy did the Rams have stellar day two.  They drafted two potential starting CBs. The only problem is that their division isn't as pass happy as the others. It will pay off against Arizona though.
The Ravens are doing a great job of keeping stud linebackers in the fold. If Lewis and Suggs are leaving soon, they are doing a good job of preparing.

Sad that Pats passed on Courtney. Would of been hell of an addition. But they got a stud with Chandler.

anyone else find it odd that neither Case Keenum or Kellen Moore got drafted at all; seems odd to me or are the NFL teams just not buying that either one will be worth their time to mold from being amazing College QB's into good NFL QB's... just find it odd that 5 Boise players got drafted none of which were Moore.

Didn't Moore already get signed by the Lions? You don't have to be drafted to make it to the NFL.

post draft the lions reached out to him, still odd that we had players from MUCH LOWER divisions who were average or less tallent that went before him though... oh well, was hoping my Titans would pick him up to give me more reason to watch them but eh...

So anyone happy with their team's draft?

I think the Eagles did great. This year they drafted on best available rather than need, which ended up working fantastically, because several needs ended up being answered anyway with the best players available.

Though for me, the Bengals are my pick for best draft of the year. They got terrific value and great playmakers with their picks. Even in the late rounds they were sniffing out fantastic value. I think with the previous season they had, an offseason to prepare and a year's worth of experience, combined with this draft class means the Bengals are going to establish themselves and win the AFC North.

I will give the Bengals tremendous props for coming back on day 2/3 and drafting the kid that got pranked on day 1.

As far as my team goes, it looks like we filled some needs...but the Miami draft will ultimately be judged by whether Ryan Tannehill is the real deal.  At least he's got an awesome line to block for him.

I'm in wait and see mode with the Rams.

The 1st round was masterfully done.  I actually don't think our coach wanted to go WR in the first, and at 14 we took the guy we planned to take at 6 if we didn't trade down.  We turned the #2 pick into 3 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks.  (We later added a 5th as well in a trade down with one of those picks.)  The only complaint I have with our first round is we should have gotten the Cowboy's 4th (or at least 5th) in the move to 14.  (I guess I could complain that Brockers is a bit of a project, and we need help now.)

Round 2 however, undid much of the work done in round 1.  With our 3 2nd rounders, we took another project, a super high risk guy, and someone who isn't a starting quality RB.  That's not what I had hoped for in round 2, where I wanted 3 solid starters, and they were there to be had.

After round 2, I think the Rams had an excellent draft.

Wow, I see it opposite. I think the Rams blew the first two picks, but made up for it later. The trade with the Redskins was their big win though.

For me, the most confusing draft was the 49ers.

Their pick of AJ Jenkins was surprising, considering that at best he was a second day pick. Plus, he wasn't even in the top 10 WRs for most pundits. They got good value in LaMichael James........but the 49ers already have three good RBs on their team and didn't need another. Unless one of them is getting cut, I don't see why they picked the way they did. Plus, the players selected in Day 3 weren't the best available and in some cases didn't address a need. I'm curious to see if Jim Harbaugh has some sort of plan in the works, because I'm scratching my head over their picks.

I'm very happy with the Lions pick of Riley Reiff. I think they got great value in the two linebackers out of Oklahoma Ronnell Lewis and Travis Lewis. I'm just hoping that one of the corners we drafted pan out.
