Absolutely.  He was pumped up and looked great.  The crowd was obviously into it as well (they were chanting "He's still got it!".

I also liked the Goldberg chants during the Rybak match.

With jericho suspended, Vader was officially the Highlight of the Night!  He does still have it!

I also enjoyed the 4 Way Dance to replace Alberto.  Heck, I thought the Santino/Layla vs Beth/Ricardo match was fun.  Ricardo is a great comedy figure.

Rybak throwing the jobber over the top rope from the floor was #SSSIIICCCKKK!

On the downside, I also though Vince mocking JR's Bells Palsy was disgusting and completely out of line.

Back to the plus side.  Am I the only one whose first thought when hearing Cole talk about Vader's Alumni section was "Yes, put up more pictures! Pictures for Raw Deal!  Vader Time, HAHAHAHAHA!!"

Yeah.. that... I rushed to WWE.com - only to find the same pics that were there before.  Dangit.  lol

Great surprise, I thought it was like 9:17 but it turned out to be Vader Time... Cheesy

Honestly, from what I saw, I'd rather have Vader back full-time than Randy Orton at this point (and I just picked up Orton in the fantasy league, so that says something.)

He wasn't quite as fluid in the ring as he used to be, but they weren't kidding when they said he still got it. That was awesome. I was expecting some cheesy bullcrap like "Brooklyn Brawler was part of a huge battle royal at the end of some Raw umpteen years ago, there's your main eventer," but Vader? Kick ass.

A question I fully expect won't be answered, and I know volunteering to help is counterproductive, so I wouldn't do that either, but I'd love to know. Creed, since you went looking for more Vader pics, how many more good pics are needed before Vader becomes a possibility?

-chuckles-  Vader was only pulled from V5 because a) we didn't fully have his Superstar structure laid out, not wanting to rush him out the door, and b) we already have 40 Superstars in the set.  We have enough, trust me  Smiley

EDIT:  To put it another way, we have a Vader logo, I even put together a Vader Superstar card... so it will be Vader Time, just not yet.  It's like.. quarter til Vader Time.   Cheesy

Vader was originally in Sheamus' spot on the mock-up sale sheet that Prong did for Virtual 5 back when it was still called Revolution 6. True story.

Now that is good news.

And I'm going to start using the phrase "quarter 'til Vader Time." That's awesome.

Marked out like a madman for Vader.  I knew as soon as Heath started making "time" references that it was on.  I was like "ohmygod...is he saying that?  can it be?  tell me it is?!" Music hits and "  WOOOOO!!!!"  Goosebumps and all.

Was amazing!  And THANK GOD for that crowd and all the chants he got.  From Vader, Vader Time to You've Still Got It.  And he looked great!  His poses and the little shuffle in the aisleway.  And no Mastodon references.  Not gonna lie, I was looking forward to seeing Heath get the forearm clubs in the corner...but alas it did not happen.  He looked amazing otherwise...cept for a little slow getting up, but I imagine he doesn't have the best of knees anymore.

And Kudos for Slater being that guy that's easy to hate and jobs well for whoever comes along, from rappers at Wrestlemania to rookies in a squash match to returning legends.  Big props to Slater for being that guy.

As for Vader in V6.  I am eagerly awaiting that day.  And to read that he was ooohhh so close to coming out in this set but not, bums me out...but then again I just think it means you're putting the time into making him that the Man They Call Vader deserves.  And he will be amazing!  Thanks for that, and again, all the work you guys do.

As for the rest of Raw.  Anyone else getting sick of these Johnny gonna get fired threats?  Been dragging this on for a while.  It's insulting.  I knew he wasn't going to get fired at WM...or OTL...or on Raw....and now I know that Cena is gonna lose at NWO (which sucks cuz I drafted him).  It's old, and I'm starting to get aggitated.  Sheamus has no good feud/storyline now...and he won't drop the belt to Ziggler.  The CM Punk/Bryan/Kane thing with AJ was unexpected and entertaining.  I like where this is going.  Wherever that is.  They need to do more with Christian...and they have a lot of great tag teams in the mix now that I'm wondering why they are just using the tag champs for glorified Show jobbers....but ah well.

I have been saying for awhile I wish they will just fire him so we don't have to have anymore story lines where his job is on the line. You also forgot when Triple H was going to fire him but Undertaker saved him.  Tongue Including the match this Sunday we are already on the 5th time he might get fired.  Roll Eyes

And when they fire him, please don't bring back Theodore Long. He is so boring, I would much rather even Mike Adamle over him.

See, I'm fine with him... if you're going to have an authority figure, I'd much rather work for a boss like Teddy Long than all these whack-job half-wits they use... lol

Though admittedly, I'd be happy with Triple H as the boss, with Teddy as a fill-in role.  "Now, Mr. H has told me to take care of things in his absence, and since you four are determined to have a fight tonight, let's make it a tag team match!"  Smiley

This is very true.  Though I wouldn't mind seeing a wrestler GM again, like Foley.  Though I doubt they'd bring him back as that role, it'd be cool to see Edge take that step.  Smiley

I don't think it would be a good role for Edge, Dean Malenko or Bret Hart would be cool though.

Both = Amazing technicians inside the ring

Both = Charisma of a brick

The charisma should be from the wrestlers. GM should be more of an authority figure IMO.

Totally agree. Just don't see either of them being very good in that kinda position. Their type of mic skills give way to stale presentations. But, the same can be said about Johnny Ace.

Love or hate Johnny, but we're talking about him/the position, so I would guess the job is being done. He's getting the reaction they are looking for.

I have to agree that regal would make an excellent GM again, and I too marked out for Vader.
