Hello

I want to apologize if I have posted this in the wrong forum, but I think this is where this topic goes.  I'm having a bit of trouble in photoshop with creating custom cards and I could use some help.

I'm having trouble creating the fades between cards.  I'm not too sure how to accurately create them.  I'm referring to pre match, mid match and superstar cards that have the picture fade into the background of the card plate.  Ive tried opacity erasers and gradient fades but nothing seems to be accurate.  Since a lot of the custom card creators say "make your own", I figured I'd make my own, but this is my stopping point.

Also, does any of the custom card creators have a superstar plate they reccomend scanning to create a superstar plate template?   Trying to recreate the new design superstar plate where the picture fades into the side, but can't find a solid superstar plate to scan.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I used transparent gradients to make my Backlash templates.  It took a lot of fiddling and adjusting to get it where I liked it.
