I know he missed Vengeance for an emergency or something, but can this be true?  If it's not WWE can kiss my ass bye for good.  I sure as hell hope Benoit's fine, he's one of the true wrestling talents they have had and I've watched the guy for years.

I find it disturving that they say Benoit and family...making me think it could be legit foul play. He had to fly home for a family emergency this past weekend and that's all we know.

God...please let this be fake...

What else could it be, perhaps some mass murderer WWE storyline or something?  First they take out Vince, then Benoit, etc?  I'm hoping it's just a very unfunny angle that they lost their minds on.

The Wrestling Observer just reported that Chris Benoit, his wife, and his son were all found dead.

If this is some terribly unfunny storyline, I hate you, WWE.

I'm willing to go out on a limb and get egg on my face if it is a terrible storyline...

RIP Chris Benoit (1967-2007)

You will be missed greatly, and were without a doubt, one of the most talented men to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots.

god damn this sucks...i hope this is some sort of sick joke but i dont see WWE going that far. The Vince storyline is the furthest i have seen WWE go with a death story line outside of Big Show/Big Bossman a few years back with Bossman dragging Show's dad's casket behind him in a hearse or when Al's dog was killed and grilled by Bossman then Al ate the "dog" in a dish.

Fu<k this sucks major ass if this is true....

Guys, a thought occurs.

Tonight was a 3 hour RAW special in dedication to the memory of Vince McMahon. Maybe I'm overreacting but I'll be rather apalled if the angle isn't scrapped.

This is the darkest day in wrestling history since Eddie passed...maybe even longer...

i also went looking at news websites with nothing on this.  but most news stations don't report wrestlers deaths allthough with them reporting his family also was found dead.  but if wwe is doing this as an angle i will probably stop watching.

Credit: PWInsider.com

We are still awaiting further details, but we are extremely saddened to report that former WWE and WCW World champion Chris Benoit and his wife, former WCW and ECW personality Nancy "Woman" Benoit were both found dead today in Atlanta, Georgia. Obviously this will be a huge developing story in the days to come but at this point, we'd like to express our deepest condolences to the Benoits' family, friends, and fans at this time.

A meeting is currently ongoing at WWE TV and it is expected that tonight's three hour Raw will now be dedicated to Benoit's memory.

6:09 Update: WWE.com issued the following statement this afternoon: "WWE is sad to report that Chris Benoit and his family have been found dead in their home. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Tonight's Raw will be a tribute to Chris and his family."

Now on the other sites it says his son is dead as well...maybe thei missed that detail.

I honestly think this isnt a angle because if it is WWE would lose 100% of their fanbase in a matter of minutes if this is a work.

I can Atlanta doing something on the news and maybe a few news websites doing stuff about Benoit but nothing nation wide because when Owen and Eddie died i didnt read anything about it in any news papers around here.

Injured WWE superstar Gregory Helms mourns the death of Chris Benoit.

http://tinyurl.com/2h2bes

That's it. It's true. Helm's mourning on MySpace, end of story. Not a storyline.

Cut the Vince crap, tonight had better be the ideal tribute show.

VINCE had better make a statement, and scrap all feuds for the night. Wrestling matches for the sake of the sport and a passed veteran of the game.

RIP Chris Benoit.

My one hope is that Benoit found God before this happened...him and his whole family.  Eddie Guerrero made no secret of the fact that Jesus was his Lord and Savior.  They were best friends.  I can only hope this was one thing they shared in common.  Benoit was one of my favorites, and i'd like to think i'll see him again in that undiscovered country from whose bourne no traveller returns.

Right...so your saying if your not a christian or catholic that your going to hell? Okay first off you have to do some pretty bad shat to end up there. Oh and as far as I know/knew Benoit was a Catholic/Christian so you have no worries.

I'm going to nip this right in the bud. I am a Christian and yes I hope Benoit knew his Lord but PLEASE guys, let's leave religion out of this just to avoid any flame wars.

This is not a time to fight.

Son of a female dog.

I was holding out hope that this was a work, or some sort of sick joke, until I saw this.

There's no way anyone would think of having Greg Helms make a myspace post to cover for a bad angle, so even though I can't seem to find anything about it, I can't help but think it's really real now.

We've lost one of the best, again long before his time. Someone up there must be a wrestling fan to keep calling up the true greats to the big leagues like this.

Hey sorry i even said anything. i meant no disrespect to Benoit for what i posted.

anyways, Benoit was taken from us WAY before his time. I was really excited to see him vs Punk (which didnt happen..damn it) and having him become one of the few wrestlers still alive that has held the ECW, WCW and WWE/F title. I think the only other wrestler that did this was The Giant but sadly I dont get to see this happen.

Hopefully the WWE just doesnt have a 15 second thing of a black screen with his face in it and the years he was born and died in like they have done with so many wrestler..IE Sherry Martel and others..I hope they release another DVD set of him and his entire carrer kinda like a Bret Hart or Ric Flair one where they show his very early stuff up to present date of the DVD being made (Flair) or his last matches til he retired (Bret).
