So... lest you think we were just twiddling our thumbs, or swimming like Scrooge McDuck in all the money made from Revo 4   Cheesy  we are planning a Revolution 5, yes.  Some features:

* New Superstars, of course.
* -Some- support for printed Superstars, as needed or warranted.
* Support for R4 Superstars
* A small amount of 'helper' cards for the environment

Also, we have plans to release a small set during July, like a 'holiday set', called WCW Invasion.  People who have wrestled in the WWE (with one notable exception) but came over from WCW, or went back and forth between the two.  And yes, the notable exception comes with a Scorpion logo.  Wink   At the moment, it is a set of 8 Superstars that we're looking to start playtesting on very soon.

Along the way, we want to get some prize support for tournaments going.  In addition to the Throwback cards (and yes, we'll have more with R5), we're looking at designing some Throwback Title Belts, as well as a 'fun' Superstar TOs can use during Bye rounds with various alternate art, heh.  Also, as I have time, we'll be issuing alternate-art Superstars - primarily those with errata like Edge & Christian for easy reference.

Now.. here's the part where we're looking for a lot of public feedback.  We'd like to propose that with R5, All Axxess gains a new Pre-match phase:  Allegiance.  It would fall before Venue for simplicity, and would allow for things like joining the nWo (yes, the T-Shirt sucks, we know, heh), keeping WCW ties, waving the ECW banner, supporting your chosen Faction, or just being in it for yourself.  Or maybe you believe in something else, like say, McMahonism.  Smiley

With this, as in the old days, with the addition of the new Pre-match phase, this would include an increase to packing 12/12 in the Backlash deck, and being able to play 6/6.  Needless to say, we're looking at feedback.  Please keep it more thought out that "change = bad", as we're trying to focus on what we can add to the game that doesn't require packing even more reversals, heh.

And who knows?  If we get enough feedback, maybe we'll even sneak a preview or two into this thread.. Wink

Considering everyone expands their pre anyway, and the more mid you can play the better... I have no issue with the 6/6 12/12 backlash thing (with all the backstage cards now no decks with in the RD tins anyway!)

the allegiance mechanic sounds cool, but please learn from the orginal and try to NOT overflow the game with too much stuff... it was one of the things that killed the original game in the first place!!!

I was always a fan of non-WWE guys (re: "the deathlock guy") getting into the game, more so now since it's not a licensed product

bring it on!!!!
(and get Billy Mays in the set!!! Cool )

being able to play 6 i think will hurt the game, maybe just have all the allegiances "Not take up a slot in the ring area"?

I agree, leave it at packing 10 and have it not take up a slot. Otherwise people who don't play the allegiance phase ate still getting a bonus.  Please don't ever put non-WWE rights persona into the game.

Shush!  The fans demand the Scorpion logo guy!

And there isnt a large pool of guys who worked both sides that arent already in Raw Deal

Arn Anderson as a singles guy
Rick Steiner *possibly as the Steiner Brothers*
Kevin Nash
Scott Hall *got them as a team but maybe as singles guys*
DDP *god i hope so*
Buff Bagwell *did work for WWE a few weeks but was first one fired*
Kanyon

thats all I can think of at the moment

and for the Allegiances maybe even make them backstage cards that stay hidden until before the first turn of the game so they dont affect Backstage Shenanagins

I am in favor of the Allegiances, another cool thing to display, and it will handle the number of allegiances and factions in an easier means.

As far as the expansion of the BL deck, I'm for it...it makes some cards (Managed by Vince + Don't Cross The Boss, Cena, Handicapped Match TB, Elimination Chamber) somewhat weaker, but I agree with your logic that for the new phase in the BL deck, there should be new pack limits at the least.  I also agree that expanding to the 6 Pre/6 Mid is the way to go over errata'ing factions and/or making all allegiances not taking up a pre-match spot in the ring area.  If factions and allegiances are going to be linked together (and they damn well should be...factions should be played during the allegiance phase IMO), then the extra spot in the pre is needed.  And with an extra spot in the pre comes an extra spot in the mid.

And if you're releasing a WCW Invasion set, I want Brian Pillman included as well.

Sting was in WCW. WWE owns the rights to WCW, therefore WCW Sting is WWE licensed.

A couple quick clarifying notes - the concept for the Allegiance phase has no complexity at all, it would be like the Feud or Manager phase, each player may play 1 or pass, in Superstar Value order.  The cards would not be overly complex either, save a cute mechanic for a certain item of clothing...  And at the moment, we see Faction cards as still being played in the Events phase, BUT having an Allegiance which gives perks to having only 1 Faction.  (and yes, there would be a Superstar with an Allegiance-based ability, heh)

As far as R5/WCW Invasion Superstars, keep in mind that the longer its been since a Superstar has actively wrestled, it becomes MUCH harder to find useable pictures for cards.  And we're not going to downgrade to blurry, shaky, bad resolution screen captures just to try and fit someone into the game, heh.

Carry on...

I'd love to see one done with O'Haire, Stasiak, Palumbo and Jindrak together as the Natural Born Thrillers. Every single one of them was in WWE as well.

Edit: Rick Rude was in both as well.
