Im sick of all these mother effers who post there effing statuses on facebook whenever the yankees win a playoff game, break some sort of effing record, play the red sox, or the mets. i also hate the fact that they have to break the news to the world that the yankees won by intimidately updating their statues that the Yankees won.

THEY CAN ALL eff OFF AND GO DIE

i mean for eff sake its annoying, as a Phillies fan, i try to even the load by making anti-yankee statuses and cheering for my team, in which i at least know every man on my post season roster, their numbers etc

also they pick the player of the game and put a heart to it
tonight it was melky cabera on facebook.

HE effing REACHED ON AN ERROR WHAT STUPID MOTHER EFFERS
I admit i do the same at times, however i have 1 favorite player, and that is Chase Utley, and i make that clear lol

People who like sports, like me hate these fairweather fane, they can all get cancer for all i care

Seriously, dude? Calm down.

How do you know they're fairweather fans? Being that I have relatives in New York, I know a lot of Yankee fans, and by no means are they fairweather. They know the team front and back and stick with them through thick and thin.

I also know Yankee fans here who aren't fairweather and would stay with 'em regardless of what happens to them until the day they die. Even last year when they didn't make it, they remained loyal. They all said the same thing: "It happens to even the best. So they didn't make it this year. Big deal. I'm still following them regardless."

Though the Yankee fans I know near where I live are also rooting for the Phillies in the NL, so my view might be slanted.

EDIT: Shouldn't this be in Rants?

Well the big deal is that im in the New York area, and i want to defend my team, no matter how outnumbered.

i know there fairweather fans because its a little too convieant that every one comes out of the woodwork when the yankees win

oh an queensyrche- by charlie manuel being the best manager in phillies history, does that exclude yesterday's 8th inning management?

that was the most painful thing i ever saw lol

Well lemme see. Charlie Manuel has won a World Series and has three straight NL East titles. No other Phillies manager has that, so yeah, he's the best manager they've ever had.

And yeah, sometimes managers screw up. Terry Francona occasionally makes dumb decisions, but he led the Red Sox to two World Series wins (and is currently undefeated in the World Series). As long as it isn't too critical, I'll let Cholly screw up once in a while if it means we win.

I'm a Nationals fan (yay me), but I personally hate the Sawx fans far worse than Yankee fans.  The Sox fans I know bitched for years at the Yankees payroll and "buying championships", yet the Sox were more than willing to pay A-Rod a ton themselves and boo him just because he jumped to NY.  And they put up with Manny for all that time knowing his character and suddenly he's not right for them anymore.  At least the Yankees are good for baseball, and you can't argue against that at all.  Just look at attendance when they come to ANY town.

Attendanceis the wrong point to argue. Just try getting Red Sox tickets, I found it easier to get tickets to the All-Star game. The Red Sox always seem to lead the way in sell out games.

Well, that because he didn't have much talent when he was manager of the Phillies, so he was bound to fail regardless.

As an Indians fan, I wholeheartedly don't like the Yankee's, along with the White Sox and the Tigers to a degree...but I also know that the Yankees lead to big money for baseball.  Is it annoying that they have twice the payroll of my team?  Sure...but I know that when I went to see them play on June 1st, it was a great game, with the fans very involved in it.  Every sport needs a "hated" team...be it the Lakers, the Cowboys, the Yankees, it's just good for the sport in general.

As for the "fair weather fans", I dunno if it's so much that as it is PLAYOFF TIME, and people are going to be more motivated to be excited for their team.

I'm curious as to why it really matters. I've read my fair share of fiction, and have taken some chops to the chest while drunk. Based on that, I could fit in this group too.

Stay away from Facebook now. I really hope the Phillies sweep them. I think I hate the Yankees even more now.
