Hello there.

So with the list of R5 Superstars mostly out in another thread, but with a few weeks of testing needed to nail down these guys to prevent weakness or brokenness... we thought it might be fun to start giving a sneak peek at the Superstars themselves. 

NOTE:  Remember that we are still playtesting and these Superstars are subject to change from what is posted here.

So while this has been posted before, I'll start with him:



Feel free to speculate, but this is the completed Card image for The Great Khali.  Yes, its different, but as to the reason why ... I'm Drawing a Blank.

Just so there's absolutely no confusion whatsoever:

Khali has a blank Ability. We didn't prune text from the card like we usually do for pre-spoilers because there's no text to prune.

(I know LordFa9 understood that, but it was a good opportunity to point it out.)

Is the Festus ability just to not allow increasing and decreasing handsize?  I am not quite getting why he doesn't just have SHS 9 along with his RMS.

The ability on Miz and Morrison could really have some potential for interesting interactions.  Not quite sure how I'd want to use it yet, but not fearing removed from game is a nice advantage.

On the Festus thing it was designed with the thought that during the Pre-Match Festus just stood there until the bell rang. That's why he draws 9 cards after all Pre-Match is resolved. Plus it opens up interesting opportunities to exploit stuff in the Pre-Match you normally couldn't with a 9 SHS.

Festus' ability is totally thematic and gimmick-centric.

Doh!  Good catch.  Someone thought of that.  I think Steiners got changed from RMS to "can't be blanked to avoid IAATG abuse there too if I recall correctly.

Like Daeva said, Festus is very gimmick based in his design, but he is still very viable and pretty powerful if built right.

The problem with packing titles for Festus is besides the US title I'd struggle to find ones that would actually help since you can't modify his SHS or SSV.
