I would like to personally thank the awesome raw deal players at dark tower games for geting me kicked off the dev team today for apperently myself pre-releasing a set that pretty much everyone had there anyways. The game is supposed to be fun and a way for people from different places to be able to come together and have a good time, It's not supposed to be a battle of territory. It's not supposed to be an us v.s them attitude towards he game either, but it is what it is. I would just like to say Thanks not only for getting me kicked off of the dev team but Thanks for making me realize what great people you are or not.

You did something that the heads of the dev team instructed us not to do. How is that the fault of the people who went to play at Dark Tower?

First of all, everyone at tower saw all of it via everyone one else having it so why should I be penalized for it when they released the set to everyone there.

At darktower every person i saw down there had Revolution 5 and was playing down there. if it was supposed to be so secretive than why did everyone have something from it and it should not be in public view or playtested at a tourney with people who are not on the development team. i know all of them are not developers and they have no right to have it.

Barone and others involved in playtesting were ENCOURAGED to play some R5 in side games to give people a special 'sneak peek'  Anyone else wasn't cleared.

So they are able to play rev 5 stuff and not other people. How is that fair. So they release and TRADE rev 5 stuff down there and it's ok, I play test wth someone in MY OWN HOME and forget to get the stuff back and im kicked off I can see how thats fair.

about every superstar set to come out i saw all but one down there being played. only one or two superstars should have been sneek peeked. not every player should have had it to test.

You can't single out one person when every person broke the rules.

You don't even understand the reason behind why you were kicked off then, do you? There was one specific superstar that no one was allowed to break out, and you, or your friend, as I wasn't there I don't know which, used that superstar. Perhaps if you joined the forums before today, you'd be aware of what was going on.

I understand what your saying, obviously I never saw this post saying anything about this mystery superstar ( which everyone knows who it is bc the people at dark tower spoiled everything) , there were numerous people there who witness the trading of rev 5 going on which is def not cool.

I find it hilarious that Mr. king1050 is saying anything about "breaking the rules" when he doesn't even know the circumstance.

The circumstance is that we asked "whatever you do, don't play Superstar X." Then someone started waving around Superstar X.

I think it's fair that playtesters put time into the set and get to sneak peek a little of it at a big tournament, it's a good way to get a little hype and buzz out. Origins and GenCon were big for this, I remember coming home with Origins with enough full card text packed into my head that Barron wondered if someone left their playtest documents out just from playing and watching three or four games.

People playing R5 at Tower was not the problem, and trading it? The whole set will be available from Kinko's, just like R4 and WCW Invasion, so they traded cards that aren't tournament legal and will be super-easy to get when they are tournament-legal, and since it's still in testing, whatever got traded is likely to be changed from now to the release.

Also note that no one got to play any R5 in the tournament, this is strictly side-game stuff, so whether it's fair or not isn't really an issue. All we didn't want to be shown was Superstar X and his specifics, then somebody had to wave them around.

EDIT: Obviously you didn't see the post, WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM. We expect playtesters to read playtest threads, it's part of the playtest process. There's no Playtester Monthly newsletter that lists off all of the tweaks and changes in playtesting. You have to read the threads.

Thee only trading I saw, and I was in the main room 99% of the time was old stuff and the new belts.

Also, to the one who spoiled superstar X, you WERE warned by a playtester not to show that superstar off.

Nate will you stop refering to this person as superstar X everyone knows who it is already. 2nd me being kicked off is complete bull and you know it, just cause im not in the clique it gets taken out on me and thats fine. Im just letting the TRUE story be told he was not flashig it around. Neither you or I were there. So your assumption is based souly on word of mouth.

Please change the title of this thread as I feel it is not appropriate.  The event was a great time.  Players had a blast.  I hope everything goes smoothly with Revolution 5 for a speedy delivery, and I thank everyone who has been involved in the process ahead of time.

Better yet, how about we lock this off.  There's nothing to be gained here.
