This one's with a bit of speculation. It makes use of the new Megrim (Liliana's Caress). Text: 1B Enchantment: whenever an opponent discards a card, that opponent loses 2 life.

5 Mountain
4 Lavaclaw Reaches
4 Dragonskull Summit
4 Arid Mesa
4 Swamp
3 Marsh Flats

4 Burst Lighting
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Sign in Blood
4 Blightning
3 Terminate

4 Kiln Fiend
4 Slavering Nulls (this is coming out for something, but I've no idea what I want to go in)

4 Liliana's Caress
3 Chandra Ablaze
2 Liliana Vess

- sideboard -

4 Vampire Hexmage
3 Executioner's Capsule
3 Manabarbs
3 Gatekeeper of Malakir
2 Consume the Meek

Basic point: damages to the face. This one makes use of the Caress, and has help from Blightning, Liliana, and Chandra Ablaze's -2 ability (yes, she actually DOES something). Kiln Fiend can provide some decent swing support (that's kind of an understatement, an unblocked one of these ends games).

Thoughts on the deck in general? Also, what should Slavering Nulls turn into? It's subpar as hell and will be coming out of the deck ASAP.

i think nulls out for hypnotic spectres perhaps (if your playing non-standard), but apart from that a pretty solid deck.

and think about damage on draw and discard...just a thought Wink

Play the red spell that costs R = each player draws 3 and discard 3 at random

the red spell mentioned above i burning enquiry, pretty good, but a bit risky due to the random effect.
i would say look at some gain life spells to and some general artifact protection to, just as a saftey net (see sun droplet)
you should be ok apart from that.

A friend of mine has a similar deck that runs Underworld Dreams, Spiteful Visions, Howling Mine's, Liliana's Caress and Burning Enquiry. With some other discard here and there.

In multiplayer games everyone leaves it alone because everyone loves drawing from the howling mine's but if you let it sit around too long, it can kill every player with a single burning enquiry  Tongue

Not sure what format you're looking at here, but if you want another creature I'd advise either Chandra's phoenix for pretty reliable dmg and the ability to chump block/burn/recurr/recast repeat.  It's a really solid card that's useful and aggresive.  Or Vampire Nighthawk, another flyer for three that is one of the most cost efficient cards M:tG has seen in a long long time and it's almost always useful.

Alsi, though it is nice to actually see use out of chandra ablaze, I'd drop her for the aforementioned burning inquiry's.  The randomness is fine cuz anything you draw is more damage to them in this all-or-nothing style deck and it's 6 dmg for one mana with a single caress out.  Dmg that hits them regardless if they had a hand to begin with, since they draw first then discard.  Also it triggers your kiln fiend.

form of the dragon and furnace of rath are also pretty good adds. help to prevent elf decks and other token decks from killing you, just need to pop the fliers. even better add a stuffy doll and keep popping it damage every turn to blast the opponent if they have emblem protection on them and there spells.
