Card Templates
« on: July 30, 2010, 03:14:46 PM »
This will be where some general card templates are, I will be creating them from scratch for myself and for anyone who wants to use them, so far I have 2 done, I am doing these when I have time to do them, if you can find me some good high res card images that would make things go faster, especially for classic cards, I am starting with revolution because I found a whole batch of high res revolution cards.

This is what I got so far:

Mid-Match Antic:
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f134/sLaYeR3210/Mid-MatchAnticTemplate.jpg

Mid-Match Manuever:
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f134/sLaYeR3210/Mid-MatchManueverTemplate.jpg

Fonts Used:
For the title and text the font used is: Trebuchet MS
For the Damage/Fortitude Boxes:Impact Wide(commerical font you have to purchase, or just modify Impact a bit wider)
Unique/Permanent/targets: jackinput

These templates are to be used only for the creation of fantasy cards, and are not to be used to duplicate what is posted on the site from the new sets.

Here's a longshot. I know the typical answer here is 'If you really want it, work it out yourself', and that's fair. But I'm really looking for some good templates for Revolution style cards. I'm trying to convince my roommate to try the game, and I figured Revo would be the easiest way to ease her in, since there's not Chain/Volley/All that. But the problem is she's not too fond of WWE wrestlers, so I came up with the idea of doing some fantasy card overlays on some Revo superstars for indy wrestlers she does like. Now, I'm slowly managing to make a Revo Superstar template I like, but some of the Revo layouts are really tricky for a guy who has no formal Photoshop training. Anyone able to help me out?

Three inches wide by four inches tall. Resolution doesn't really matter, the higher the better, since a higher-res image will look orders of magnitude better when it's scaled down to 3" x 4".

Um, actually, it's 3.5" x 2.5" (or vice versa for Backlash)  :)

Has anyone thought of using Magic Set Editor? It needs some coding, but once coded it is the most awesome way to make cards and I think once coded might be an easy way for people to make professional looking fantasy cards.

Where do you get the Jack input font? Or does it come with the software you use already?

Yeah I figured just was wondering if there was an official website everyone used. Always cautious of add-ons from unsupported sites. Thank you

Heh, yeah (and sorry for the snarky link) - just don't download fonts via .exes, and you should be fine. :)

My Templates....obviou sly follow the rules when it comes to the Virtuals and other things but  Stun Value,Throwback,RMS,Raw,Smackdown,ACE, and All non-revo cards except the triple hybrid (Sweet Chin Music) which I'd love to get.

As the others use...
(Title,Card Type,Card Text) - Trebuchet MS Digiscream ~I personally use Bold~
(Unique,Permanent,etc.) - American Typewriter Bold
(Damage & Fortitude) - Impact

One thing I want to correct, just as a helpful hint.  It's "American Typewriter" (AmerType) for the traits and targets: Unique, Active, etc.
