Taker has lost time and again in a row, I think it will be a repeat of 2004 Wrestlemania XX where he was buried alive and resurrected at wrestlemania, is WWE really out of storylines?

It is a similar, but to be fair, this version is a lot more thought-out than the 2003/04 version. That feud didn't start until the Buried Alive Match at Survivor Series. This one just had a repeat of the Kane burying Undertaker moment.

I think the general idea is that this feud is aimed more at the new kids audience that likely weren't watching during 2003/04. Plus short of 'Takers return as The Deadman, no-one goes out of their way to remember it.

I really hope Taker loses in this coming Wrestlemania if he were really to face Kane for this storyline. And Taker will really rest in peace (retire). He is too old for any more bumps. However, the video of Taker's appearance at UFC, talking to Brock makes me suspect that Taker will not be retiring yet.

In all fairness, most TV Shows and Movies have run out of storylines.

It's not really possible to do something new. All you can do is change some of the details of who, when, etc.

Jim Cornette has been quoted as saying Pro Wrestling storylines can be recycled after 7 years. Which is about how long since the last time Taker got buried.

Now to the original question. Is WWE out of storylines, I'd say no. I don't even know if these are the same writers as before. Also WWE doesn't put much thought in good pro wrestling storylines, so it's not like they're pushing the limits. They're just lazy/not really trying most of the time.

We got so much from them in the late 90's early 00's that there is nowhere to go but down. People are different today, it's much harder to hold attention spans, if you don't believe me try watching JYDs original ladder match.
